  1. You mean, hapless male falls victim to feminine whiles, and in so doing destroys/loses some higher aspect of himself? : wicked little laugh :
  2. Civilization and domestication seperate us from our own wild nature. This is actually the underlying theme of Women Who Run with Wolves, and where my ruminations end at this point.
  3. May I suggest it was man who lost the affinity, with some few among them maintaining it?
  4. He developed the relationship through respect and observation, and stayed past the time he knew it was safe to stay. And I wouldn't characterize the bear as "rogue," but elderly with worn down teeth, hungry and desperate to survive another winter - which of course he didn't. I watched an interesting (and somewhat shocking/sad) documentary on Wolves in Minnesota. If one can stomach the callousness of (some) humans and indifference to social structures not our own I would recommend it. The reboot of Cosmos has an episode which delves into this, and the natural evolution of the wolf/man relationship as one with mutual benefit.

    Don't forget the dancing!
  6. How do I get rid of these sensations?

Sometimes this is good advice, and sometimes not as much. I'd be curious what the dietary habits of the OP actually are.
  7. How do I get rid of these sensations?

My suggestion would be the sentience is your own. In the Druid Animal Oracle the owl signifies detachment, wisdom and death/rebirth. The sensations arise while you're not practicing detachment, and detachment is the answer and wisdom you're looking for.. let these old thought patterns die, and be reborn to something new. Move into the sensations without judgement or trying to push them away, or placing them at the feet of some other being you believe has usurped your sovereignty. A very long time ago, I experienced electric sensations in the palms of my hands, I eventually found placing them on the ground and breathing deeply and slowly alleviated the sensations (which correlated with repressed anger). But, I don't know how to equate this experience in a manner you would be able to follow for the sensations in your legs - except to say, find a way to ground yourself. Are those the sort of thoughts you had which led to the wound you reference? It could very well be your subconscious reminding you, you've been down this road, and it doesn't lead anywhere good for you. This is what I can offer, for better or worse. Take it, or leave it; it's up to you.
  8. Women and Buddhahood

Hi @SirPalomides Have you read Cave In The Snow https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002UM5B5K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_qyt4DbQSSFR0S
  9. The scandal of me sitting in full lotus padmasana

My observations: Two women join in the ruckus, with great (healing) humor. Shortly after the cry of "shame.. shame.." is sounded. Heading this cry, one of the women dutifully feels the shame and apologizes - for which she is rewarded with a little heart of appreciation for the conformity and stepping into line with the expectations of the first shaming and then rewarding individual. Manitou, what you wrote was funny. I found myself sharing it in real life after I burst into laughter, and rejoicing in your freedom of expression.
  10. The scandal of me sitting in full lotus padmasana

I think he's another "celibate" who has messed themselves up, and is delusional when it comes to women and his interactions with the same - even if he can quote text regarding the "low vibration" of people with vaginas. I appreciate the voices speaking out. Please be careful with the "all." I don't ask for or expect apologies.
  11. The scandal of me sitting in full lotus padmasana

People who felt compelled to were doing something about it, in their own way and with humor. No. Just because I don't accept the chastisement bit, doesn't mean I'm of the nature or mood to don a ban harness.
  12. The scandal of me sitting in full lotus padmasana

One could save $20 by following a few simple steps. Set an incense burner on the floor, light incense, and then straddle the rising smoke. Smoke up one's a$$ with no need to outsource.
  13. The scandal of me sitting in full lotus padmasana

I preferred the jokes.. What about the effect on others? Like a young woman who may stumble into this place when his posts are left unchecked and believe the silence is condoning and accepting.
  14. The scandal of me sitting in full lotus padmasana

And let's not overlook the very title of this thread invites commentary regarding not only the "me" of the title, but the "scandal" this "me" creates by his understanding of what happens when he sits full lotus.. which is (according to the individual) unintentional but bragged about o at a d's for young (underage in some of the tales) and unsuspecting women.
  15. The scandal of me sitting in full lotus padmasana

I'm discovering at this stage in my life there is little which irritates me more than calls to civility, aside from seeing people heeding the call and silencing themselves.
  16. The scandal of me sitting in full lotus padmasana

I'm glad to see the "imo" at the end of your post. And my opinion is much different. I think it is natural for people to respond in the manner they have, and the humor you see as mean spirited is an outlet for, and reasonable response to, the years of misogynistic self-aggrandizing psuedo-spiritual b.s. this individual has subjected anyone willing to read his posts to. If you honestly believe his posts to not be insulting, then either you've completely missed his view of (and apparent belief in his right to energetically dominate) women, or you don't see any issue with this. In either case, I disagree with you, and reject your chastisement. (Which has left out the walls of large red font and clear derision towards anyone who disagrees with him...) Yeah, no. A very direct and clear no. I don't acquiesce to calls for "niceness" in the face of such "eccentricity".. what an interesting euphemism for somebody who has acted as he has all these years.. he's not some friendly uncle with a collection of sugar spoons and bells.
  17. Do What Thou Wilt

Thank you! Regarding the kerubim of the upper corners, I'm going to type out a quote from the book I keep referring to: What you've shared maintains the old designations. I couldn't do it..
  18. Do What Thou Wilt

For @ralis Hierophant HGA https://imgur.com/gallery/4UJ52he I took a pic for you. It's the Thoth Hierophant and some pertinent text regarding the HGA. If you're uncomfortable with the link (the only option I have while on a phone), I'll boot up the computer (which should provide more options for image sharing) for you. I simply prefer sitting in the open air while posting here.
  19. Do What Thou Wilt

@Apech, kitty cat, your name has been invoked.
  20. Do What Thou Wilt

I don't know if this will be found useful or not, but, according to the author of this short article what is shared seems to be as close as Crowley came to "defining" the HGA. http://www.ladyofthestars.ca/crowley-on-the-hga/
  21. Do What Thou Wilt

For further reference regarding what was shared by the author of Understanding Aleister Crowley's Thoth Tarot, refer to the passages starting on page 69 of Crowley's book of Thoth.
  22. Do What Thou Wilt

You can be as picky as you like my dear Nungali, and I thank you for sharing. In the book I've recently mentioned, a barely discernable sun burst is noted behind the large stylized wing on the left ankle, this starburst is then related to Mercury as the herald of the Sun. I had to squint and focus to see it (the sunburst), but it is there. The correction between air and fire as related to Mercury is noted. Thank you.
  23. INFERNO !

  24. Do What Thou Wilt

Three "heralds of the Sun" sound extra fiery to me. In all honesty though when I asked myself the same question when writing the post, it slowly unveiled itself to a correlation with a personal life situation. (At which point perhaps I should have edited it out, but decided to leave it be.) And there is the concern for you and your possum friends... Gratitude to both.
