Well the individual whose post I linked is/was a member of your group. Yes? He posted about how he sits on a mat of woven wire. Which is something you are saying no-one in your group does. Am I wrong?
  3. .

Guess I should have narrowed down the quote to include only the "We do not sit on wires, nor stick them up our butts." bit, so you could more readily understand what I was pointing at. In case you missed it, by choosing to speak for others, you've snared yourself in a lie.
  4. .

He didn't claim to stick wires in his butt, my post was rather clear about this, and I'll attribute no such thing to him. Curious point: You are exhibiting the exact behavior you take great umbrage with others for exhibiting. This is a bit hypocritical on your part imo. What about mats made of woven wire? At this point, I would recommend speaking for yourself, and not the entirety of your "group" - who have shared information which is contradictory to the story you wish to spin for us.

Having grown up in a rural area, it's taken me a long time to begin to comprehend this wide spread belief in separation, and honestly it's still difficult for me - although I've come to accept this is how some (many) individuals somehow map their experience/ understanding. Creating separation, and then creating elaborate means to diminish the separation. For the moment, I'm going to file it under karmic tendencies.. and leave it be. Was nice "seeing" you today ralis. Warm regards and well wishes.

Here is a post which actually supplies the reasoning for grounding at the perineum:
  7. .

Here's an open post regarding sitting upon a wire (assuming here there is no insertion)... ... but the point remains this forum has been hearing about wires for some time now, and it isn't something a few "mean spirited" people made up to discredit anyone. (To be clear, there isn't always insertion, although the perineum certainly seems to be the overall preferred point of contact, and hence the long running jokes..)

You will have a hard time with the wire thing, since a former member wrote personally with a long term trusted member that he indeed did incorporate the use of a wire in his practice, and now there is documentation supporting such use.

It can be dead for you anytime you wish it to be - just play an old patriarch disowning his child. As for me, I'll continue to post as I wish, thanks. : said with a smile, lest this be perceived as harsher than intended :

I call bullshit. I am a woman posting in a place where there are individuals who believe all women to be low frequency, and some who even believe us all to be succubi. You don't see me hiding, do you? Yep, bullshit. You don't want to, and the "hostility" is a convenient excuse - which somewhat ironically only creates further hostility.

Thank you for asking.. I'm short on time, but may return to this. It's the rote responses. The people you are communicating with here may share underlying themes, but their responses are all reflective of their own natures, experiences, and understanding. When it comes to your group, any one of you could be interchanged for another, and we'd have the same handful of phrases presented over and over again - with little to no personality coming through. It's what the guys here have referred to as "group speak," and one of the primary reasons I've limited my response to you. It's too much like pulling the string of a See 'n Say - predictable, unengaging, and honestly mildly droll (teetering on outright boring) making further communication on my part mostly nonsensical.

There's much which doesn't make sense to me regarding this group.. Especially the "free thinkers" bit when it comes to the "See 'n Say" type responses - pull the string, the arrow spins, and when it stops predetermined noise manifests. I don't know, although it is not something I would recommend playing with to anyone - unless I really really didn't like them, and there is no one I dislike this much.
  14. Did you see this follow up post to the one I shared above?
  15. .

I caught this when you first presented the question, and was pretty sure he said they were atheists - implying (to me) through their practice they may become something else. Which then would raise the question of an egregore to me - further playing upon the riffs of Walker's comments regarding the protectors of the (actual) lineage, and ralis's comments regarding collective belief systems depending on which map for understanding one wishes to follow, or how they wish to map their own understanding of the little which has been presented.

The most profound thing an instructor ever said to me by way of correction was "let it be" when I began questioning and judging a naturally arising experience.. They've actually raised some rather pertinent points - even if you don't like the packaging those points came in. May I ask about what it is which remains incomprehensible to you? And further why it seems you've a desire to "herd cats" and redirect the interactions in this thread?
  17. I really like this reply. I'm going to add my favorite explanation I've seen on this site, as the two explanations seem harmonious to me, and pointing towards the same idea of "dynamic. "
  18. The scandal of me sitting in full lotus padmasana

Maybe everyone should start PM'ing viyy, so it becomes a more mundane occurrence, and less in need of commemorative posts?

  20. Hello I like to learn how to feel emotions again.

    Would aversion be an emotion?
  21. checking back

Hi 3bob, apologies for not noticing your return earlier. It's nice to see you. Welcome back.

deceiving the mind but, damn this coffee tastes good and perfectly chilled
  23. Easy - don't spend any money on monster energy drinks (a personal weakness). Hard - let people argue, and leave such things be. Very very hard - don't call out at work, or leave early unless the company is offering early outs.
  24. This, imo, is actually a wonderful way to "get in touch with" one's intuitive nature, and build (inner) trust which allows the "quiet voice within" to "speak and be heard."
  25. Wonderfully pragmatic and to the point, although as the thread has continued it seems to me the OP is being more conversational than deferential with the other members here - which is good imo. I trust he'll know when he's ready to continue his practice(s).
