speaking for myself, NDE itself was not traumatic at all, the compassion and the light that are experienced are beyond words. but how to hold that stuff once your back here, the horrible experience of being back in your body. In my time nothing was known about it. I came from an atheist family, so had nothing to hook the experience on ( like, i could not say i met Jesus in heaven an outburst of love, light and compassion) so I never told anyone about it. Essentially I locked up the experience somewhere, not understanding, acting as if it had not happened. As I also had some sort of visions as a kid and I knew that people who see things that do not exist are crazy and gets locked away in a nut house. I took care to keep my mouth shut about anything unusual I experienced. also my mother was very anxious about " the crack into the unexplained" and that fear very probably has touched on me too. I was around 40 when I managed to get out of that circle and set my feet on the path. long story short, the trauma can come from the reaction of society, not from the experience itself.

I had that the other way round, OBE started happening before NDE

welcome Jonby, glad to hear you managed to recognize and overcome that fear.

witchery is the common name i think âFillet of a fenny snake, In the cauldron boil and bake; Eye of newt and toe of frog, Wool of bat and tongue of dog, Adderâs fork and blind-wormâs sting, Lizardâs leg and owletâs wing, For a charm of powerful trouble, Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.â

Glad I lived during a time were we smoked real plantstuff, made tea of it and baked it in a cake. 't was nice to grow too.

i got that, but body being comfortable is helpful and harder to reach when it's protesting with oldage fuckery. I like this one, but have read that when your knees are hurting it's the opposite of helpful. As I cannot help you with books i thought this would be my contribution to your question.

I guess we all have the tendency to react on stuff we do not like or cannot handle, but this is something else. being here to bite and enjoy it. seems like when you bite you are getting bitten. -
when I still regularly trained a the dojo we were sometimes offered "tea" I have no idea what was in it but its effect, as far as I was able to discern it, was to be helpful opening up the central channel ( and probably more that I was not aware of.) Once someone asked " what's in it and where to buy?" and answer he got sums up as: will not tell you. It was potent stuff, after the first time I generally asked for only half of the usual amount. I would not want to use it without guidance.

do you have a source for this? Not for me, it sounds plausible, but for someone else who will not be impressed with some guy called Nungali talking on some woowoo forum

I did not say it is an exercise from Chia, but like those of Chia. The willfully steering chi around in your body can have all kinds of nasty effects, at first it feels all great, fantastic even, but all of a sudden something goes poof and you've got no-one to help you out. As you're here proclaiming it is safe I want to warn young enthusiastic readers who do not have all this impressive famous lineages behind their belts. Not to follow the advice from some unknown person from the internet but look for a trusted teacher, whether in person or digital. Here on the bums we much rather help newbies find trusted teachers in their region then have same newbies come here asking for help. because they are freaked out with hot chi rising, or demons besetting them or sleeplessness or whatever deviation. My statement was not careless but premeditated. The MCO is talked about everywhere, a lot of people have no idea what they are playing with and the way you describe it can do damage. Now the burnt hand is the best lesson, but you will carry the scars always. In order to insult me I must first value your opinion, nice try though. -
