depends on what you want to get out of him. he is par for the course meaning he got nothing, also a boomer.
  2. Nathan Brine

i took a look. he is par for the course meaning he got nothing.
  3. Since you are in neidan you will know these two books, only through which the west first learned about neidan back in the previous century: https://www.amazon.com/Taoist-Yoga-Kuan-Charles-Luk/dp/0877280673 and https://www.amazon.com/Secret-Golden-Flower-Chinese-Book/dp/0156799804 The first one is directly WL and the second one was disseminated in china as a part of the WL corpus There is a little bit on the history of the Kunlun Xian Zong Pai here: Daoism in the Twentieth Century Between Eternity and Modernity Edited by David A. Palmer and Xun Liu University of California Press https://escholarship.org/content/qt13w4k8d4/qt13w4k8d4_noSplash_8e98d381b968a669408d84dbcf68a8a9.pdf?t=lyu9kg and here is your WL connection
  4. Of course. In my reality, the trad ones verbally explain the milestones very clearly (e.g buddhist jhanas). the modern ones who attain the milestones also do so (e.g one of my students). But thank you very much anyway.
  5. in general when the modern mystics try to share, they undermine it by not providing definitions and by not providing concrete examples. While the intent is commendable, the message is fuzzy. If you want us to understand what you write you should explain that in your mind a thing is not an object. because it is kinda clashes with a dictionary. Then, pls provide an example. like here. i am very interested in what @stirling says but i have to ask him for an example 'how the emptiness feels like, what do you see?' otherwise i dont know what he is trying to say.

  8. Transgender Q&A

  9. Nagarjuna, an ancient Indian philosopher, and a teacher of Mahayana Buddhism: "Nothing of Samsara is different from Nirvana, nothing of Nirvana is different from Samsara. That which is the limit of Nirvana is also the limit of Samsara, there is not the slightest difference between the two."[38] this is a pretty horrible transl. this one is correct. Also this paragraph is not about 2 objective, external, true/false realities. It is about the men losing dao in their minds.
  10. 陈泥丸云:人人皆可 he does not have any, which is good because they did not dupe him. he studied books, which is bad because he did not understand them.
  11. oh wow thats a long time. You must have made great achievements by now.....right? you sure must be one of them...right?
  12. i find it fascinating how the amateurs always directly 180 degrees oppose the tradition. They do that because they are materialists. Spirit is a direct opposite of matter. The more you try to prove spirituality - the more deluded by materialism you get. Now the human mind is matter. The more they the try to prove spirituality through massage, zapping, healing - the more deluded by their materialist mind they get. (also the more ridiculous they look hehe) lol. if your spirituality is not just in your head - then it is a delusion this is exactly what i mean by materialism directly opposing the tradition. its textbook hehe. of course in the tradition iddhis (sic) are the direct opposite of physical bodies/things https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iddhi so funny, gets me every time;)
  13. 这有什么有趣的呢?
  14. Sitting and forgetting

nice pajamas hombre him who coined that old hat puts it best 'I sit and forget everything.' Zhongni changed countenance, and said, 'What do you mean by saying that you sit and forget (everything)?' Yan Hui replied, 'My connexion with the body and its parts is dissolved; my perceptive organs are discarded. Thus leaving my material form, and bidding farewell to my knowledge, I am become one with the Great Pervader. This I call sitting and forgetting all things.' ........Zhongni said, ' Zhuang-zi says it is actually a Confucian thing. Since he was the first to write that term down , he probably knows
  15. Sitting and forgetting

good job on translation. just one small thing: what you rendered "sitting with concealment" “隐机而坐” is actually this posture leaning with one elbow on a small table or a pillow
  16. Stranger things

¡Santiago y cierra, España! of course. things have to get worse before they get better;)
  17. Stranger things

oh totally. just like Spain was in 722. -“She is risen!” -“She is risen, indeed! However, Police Scotland has since said in a statement that the author's social media posts about transgender people are not being treated as criminal. https://www.newsweek.com/jk-rowling-transgender-people-jordan-peterson-megyn-kelly-1886421

  19. it is ok to be confused because this passage does not specify the MCO by name 周天 but implies that it has happened. Here the MCO is mentioned under the code formula of "reversed the five agents and have brought the eight trigrams together". The translator adds to the confusion by never using the term 'orbit' (instead he uses 'celestial revolution') https://ctext.org/wiki.pl?if=gb&chapter=55952&remap=gb so this passage describes how the MCO has been completed and the embryo has been 'firmly sealed' as i mentioned earlier 牢固封闭 to answer your question, this passage says: 1 first circulate the MCO, 2 then stop the MCO , 3' firmly seal' and heat the cauldron which by now contains the embryo. https://www.goldenelixir.com/files/Ruyao_jing_Commentary_SAMPLE.pdf page 28
  20. Look @blue eyed snake, first of all i agree with you that any method is dangerous. So thanks for stressing that one more time But 1 no method is more dangerous than everyday living. look up the traffic accident statistics 2 as to a trusted teacher - A) there is no such individual, because you see all the marks are ripped of by someone they trusted, otherwise they would not get ripped off B ) a teacher guarantees nothing especially a digital one hehe. check out their ads - not a single guarantee there even if its not, it is still hilarious how they got triggered and ganged up on you;) very amusing. particularly because they have no relation to subject matter (well except @SirPalomides he is a jolly good fellow) the important thing is never to get angry at the hecklers. the show must go on.
  21. deleted

i am pretty certain that no one;) thats all true but the issue is ...what are these goblet words or this non-speech good for?
  22. i am certain no text is confusing purposely;) . give me the titles i will check against the originals
  23. of course. In terms of our convo above sealing means maintaining a thoughtless mind, particularly not putting the focus of your attention on the 'yuanjing'. In general sealing is the opposite of leakage 漏 lòu to leak; to divulge; which in turn means no thoughts arising (not loss of semen as popularly thought). However thats a vernacular use of the term. In the neidan classics sealing 封 fēng to seal is not used at the MCO starting stage. Instead the technical term 'to seal firmly 固封' refers to the next stage: the year after the 100 days.
  24. stolen by a thief? how's that? how do you even know, you've lost it? sorry thats not my quote. these are the words of @Yae we are all in the same yellow submarine, lads and lassies both you used that word first, you did not ask me to explain it, so i did not i never say anything thats my own opinion. i just repeat the words of my teachers coming to me through their books. Hierarchies are important because a method is a tool. Dont we need to know if we are using a hammer or a screwdriver? A tool must fit the task. the discussion of xing first or ming first is a teaching device, for analysis and understanding. In practice there is no such split between xing and ming. Yet if you are interested in Xing first, for starters we can look at this passage of LYM https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liu_Yiming sure, i dont even know what ego is. glad to be of any help.
  25. this is correct still post but quite good nevertheless its both, depending on the strength of it. when it is still weak - it should be sealed until it grows strong; when it is strong (after the sealing or right away) it should be allowed to circulate. however this only applies to the mid-to-low level methods. in the high method the MCO starts on its own with no such options. yes i do know it;)
