  1. Hello

The tao of Pooh will be better, but best for you, I think would be to get a book titled Chronicles of Tao in order to learn about Taoism. Taoism is many things, but at core level it is a way of looking at life which allows us to flow more efficiently along with the things that happen in our lives .......... and how to make people fall down without touching them, stuff like that.
  2. Hi

Someone posted a link to this forum on my relatively new Taoism forum over a year ago and I just got around to checking it out. It looks like you ahave a nice succesful forum here, congratulations! I have been practicning Tai Chi and Chi Kung (Nei Kung) for almost a couple of decades now and it is important in my life. I am lucky to have had some really good teachers here in Volcanoland, Seattle, Washington. I consider myself to be a Tao Bum too because when I try to think nothing happens! ...and I don't try too often either =)
  3. Hi

Sorry, that's a bit far as the type of feeling I'm refering to is a tactile feeling of energy, primarily with the hands, not a psychic type of feeling. It's true trees have their own energy field and it is difficult to discern what is my reflected energy and which is theirs. However, I can feel my energy reflecting off of walls or sidewalks or rocks on or under the ground and the sensation is the same with trees. I can also feel myselrf moving through the energy field of the Earth if I pay attention. Have you ever heard of the term 'radar hands'? May the Force be with you, Starjumper
  4. Interesting book on Russian Breath work

I see you guys are aware of Russian Systema here, have there been discussions about the Systema martial art?
  5. Hi

Pei Mei, also Bak Mei, was one of the five Shaolin masters of the Shaolin system when the temple was destroyed by the Qing dynasty emperor. Some say Pei Mei was the betrayer. Pei Mei - Wikipedia Pei Mei means White Eyebrow, and there is a Kung Fu style with the same name. My eyebrows are gray now, so I'm still Starjumper the gray, not yet Starjumper the White. Hi Cat, where do you live? When I go for hikes in the mountains i can feel my eenrgy reflecting off trees as I walk by, so I play a game to see how far away I can sense them. I can also feel the energy people leave in the ground where they slept in their tents.
  6. Hi Xeno, could you explain what this means to you. I have a good idea what 'becoming one with Tao' means to me but I suspect there are many with unformed thoughts on this, unlike you.
  7. Hi

Hi Cat, actually there is no link and it was just a joke. I underlined the text to make it look like a link is all. Yes it's a nice one. I identify with the character Pei Mei in some ways, how about you? Did you know that there was a 'real' Pei Mei, an actual person? Also, you're other avatar isn't exactly the same is it? because i thought I had made some changes to the borders on that one.
  8. Zhan Zhuang

Another thing standing (and low postures in Chen Tai Chi and Chi Kung did for me is strengthen my legs so much that it is easy for me to climb up der mountain with a backpack on.
  9. Zhan Zhuang

If you stand with legs bent then it generates surplus chi in proportion to how low you sink and if you relax during it, as you should, then this extra chi will circulate freely to empower or heal you. You can also use the extra chi by directing it with your intent, and since it requires striving to relax in the face of physical stress it also teaches you how to relax in the face of emotional stress.
  10. Taoism is not about the self

I'm sorry, this definition is incorrect. The types of immortals and their different levels are all carefully detailed in Taoism, in order to get a clue check out this description on my forum: What is an Immortal I have NO idea what this means, can you explain?

  12. Retention, CCOs, Orbit, Sex, etc. etc.

I have a question about CCO's and stuff like that. It's about the location of the feeling. When someone has this 'orgasm' of a certain chakra is the feeling mainly in the area of the chakra or is it in the whole body? Like, if you said Lil' Nell down the street, had a heart chakra orgasm, would that mean she felt it mainly in her heart?
  13. I'm expecting the boot

Yes but it only has a few members in it, just click here --> Great Circle Master's Group I would like to answer your question but i don't think we should be mucking up Witch's thread so please ask it in my intro thread, which is here: Starman's intro Well it can be done any way people like, of course, but if it doesn't come from the groin then I wouldn't call it sex but just energy work. The method I described generally follows Taoist thought, and this blends with 'new age' thought to some extent as follows: The male has more yang, physical, love, action energy and this comes from sexual energy centers while women have more yin, wisdom, compassion energy and that comes from around sixth chakra area (I'm not real clear on this theory stuff mind you) so each one receives the energy of the other and transmutes it and sends it back to be recycled, which it seems to me, is also more or less how it should work emotionally in an actual factual relationship. Edited to add: Taoist tantric sex is very different than Tantra, and it may also be different from other styles of tantric sex.
  14. Retention, CCOs, Orbit, Sex, etc. etc.

Not so fast there, young lady. Thinking and desires are a separate problem from having a lot of sexual energy, which is not a problem per se. I think you need to read the fine print in the first post. In addition, all this kundalini rising stuff is Hindu yoga, which is fine, I LIKE some Hindu yogas even though I don't bother since I do Taoist yoga, but the methods are considered unsafe and ungrounded in the Taoist alchemical view. I think you need to get out and run around the block a few times, and/or find a Chi Kung master to learn a practice from.
  15. I'm expecting the boot

Well I'm not a Taoist sex wizard =) just a Taoist adept with a lot of (sexual) energy (and chi energy, and shen energy I think =), although I have learned a little about tantric sex. I was just foolin' around too, the logistics probably wouldn't have worked out anyway. The story I mentioned isn't X rated so I'll post it here. Once upon a time, two Chi Kung masters, a man and a woman, were to give a public demonstration of tantric sex. What an opportunity! A crowd of eager voyeurs gathered to watch. The two masters walked out with their clothes on!! and sat in two chairs facing each other that were a couple of feet apart. They started meditating, and then those who could see auras saw that a blue light went from the groin of the man to that of the woman and then a few seconds later a blue light went from the forhead of the woman to the forehead of the man. This cycle then repeated. So that's it, one type of tantric sex, and no heavy breathing involved. It does however involve sex and the 'sixth chakra', which was your interest. This demonstration does contain several lessons pertaining to the energetic and emotional interrelationship of men and women. The lessons are there for the observant student to see. It does appear that you have green eyes, you culd be one of my green eyed sisters.
  16. smoking and tcm

Not to change the subject or anything, but that reminds me of a story I heard about some guru or master who was expounding the dangers of smoking to a Western audience, all the while smoking cigarettes. Some terribly observant and brave fellow asked him how he could say those things while he was himself smoking. In answer he took a drag off the cig and then held his hand out and blew smoke out his fingers and said: "When you can do this then you can smoke" Actually, although smoking may be harmful in some ways nicotine itself is an essential nutrient. Nicotine is Nicotinic acid, is Niacin, and Niacin is one of the B vitamins. It could be that humans adapted to need nicotine via millinea of the consumption of it or it could just be a natural chemical in plants and animals. All that being said, I don't have a clue as to how it relates to TCM, but I do know this: if you're going to smoke then it's best to use organic naturally grown Native American tabacco and not the industrial grade kind with 2000 toxic chemicals added.
  17. I'm expecting the boot

I can imagine that, but you said 'good', not 'regular', and how many of the volunteers are Taoist wizards? I had suspected you were refering to sex with your "do it" comment, but I haven't tried it with the sixth chakra since I prefer the old fashioned way. However I have heard of a story which includes a graphic description of Tantric chi sex and the sixth chakra which you might like. I do seventh chakra work myself. I have a few students (of an ancient Taoist practice) and I get a lot of energy blasting out the top of their heads, which they then must learn how to deal with
  18. I'm expecting the boot

I can't figure out what you mean by "do that". The mid forehead sixth chakra is from Hindu yoga and not Taoist yoga. There is a corresponding point (acupuncture point) but the Taoists focus more on the mid eyebrow which is technically not the sixth chakra. The two different points probably have similar properties?
  19. I'm expecting the boot

I think the one that Hindu yoga refers to is on the forehead while the one the Taoists tend to focus on is the mid eyebrow. Where you focus will determine where you get more energy. I volunteer!
  20. Microcosmic Orbit

By the way, there's nothing essentially wrong with playing games, it's just a good idea to know when you're doing it, don't you think?
  21. Microcosmic Orbit

I was asked by PM a few weeks ago to elaborate on what I know about the MCO. There are several reasons why doing it is not a good idea. There are some few people who may do it without harm and if you're reading this you probably aren't one of them. I'm not one of them either. Here's one thing that is wrong with doin' the MCO. The MCO is basically one energy channel in the body. If you force and you are like many of the practitioners who also have essentially no other practice, then you are neglecting all the other meridians. In addition energy does not just flow through the meridians, it flows through every fiber, cell, and molecule in your body. Now many Taoists will respond positively to the notion that our bodies have body wisdom and if we give it a supply of extra chi while in a relaxed state then the extra chi will automatically and naturally go to wherever in the body it is needed most in order to improve health the most. SO THEN what's so smart about directing it to go some place else with our minds. Are we really smarter than our body or are we just playing games? There's a lot more........
  22. Microcosmic Orbit

I wrote: Using visualization/intent methods to do the MCO is a BAD idea and has caused considerable and permanent harm in some people. By far the best way to do it is with moving chi kung exercises, ... Well that's very nice that everyone has their opinions and TTBs is a good place, but I'm right about this particular subject and it's not an opinion. I've seen the damage done to people who used the visualization method and I've been ordered by a most powerful chi kung master to never practice such a thing. Visualization of the MCO is a hard style method and we Water style (real =) Taoists prefer safety and health.
  23. Microcosmic Orbit

This was in response to a question I had. I had heard that Mantak Chia is the most advanced Taoist master in the world. I agree Aiwei, I think many practitioners are more advanced than Chia. Also, it is true that there are high level masters around who wish to remain unknown. In fact I was introduced to one of them and luckily my cup was not too full then. I would be interested in visiting the master in Hawaii but I don't go there often. I assume he is on the island of Oahu and must be pretty busy? I did a google check on your info and got no returns on it.
  24. Microcosmic Orbit

I should clarify my answer to Yoda. We are both correct in different ways, and we are probably referring to different ways. The Way I am referring to is along the lines of the Water Method Taoist Nei kung alchemy where there is a lot of focus on the crown point and energizing it within the first three years or so. The important part is that this method is well grounded in a holistic practice which has as a very important point being in primo physical/martial condition, and is therefore a relatively safe path and a fast path.
