Annnon Posted May 11 I always knew that horse stance burned Jing because of the stress the body goes through. What are your thoughts on this? And what about the stretching part, doest it also builds jing?
markern Posted May 13 Are you talking about building or burning? Because you mention both.

I'm talking about burning when I mention the horse stance, I think it burns jing, but maybe it builds jing, so this is my first question - Does horse stance builds or burns jing? And the second question is about stretching the lower body(legs), does it build jing by stretching?
RobB Posted May 22 Depends what you mean by 'jing'. I think you could say that ma bu (horse stance) practice develops the jing if you mean jing as the connected tissue network of the body. ma bu practice can develop a 'stretchy' sort of feeling in the body. Ma bu burns because it's painful :-)
Master Logray Posted May 22 Stretching won't help Jing directly, but indirectly it creates overall well-beings that is beneficial to Jing, Chi, Shen. Jing is more from conservation.
