Mair 16 Mending Nature

Recommended Posts

The author continues with his espousal of pureness and placidity as the best means for restoring one's original nature.  A person's primary purpose should be the preservation of self by keeping things joyfully plain.  Do not, says the author, strive to accumulate knowledge and do not engage in philosophical arguments - which is precisely what most of the Warring States thinkers did.
