Initial Facebook registration, now want to use password

Hello,

 

I registered via Facebook yesterday.  On settings it says I can set up a local password to sign in through my mobile device.  I set a password, but I can't sign in.  Tried signing out and in a few times and can only sign in through Facebook. I searched this forum and found a similar question from July but no answer posted.  If no can do, can I re-register without Facebook?

I believe the only way to go about this is for you to create a new account, with a different screen name, based on a normal email address. Then we can merge the new account with the current one, allowing you to keep this screen name.

 

But wait for a reply from Dawei or Brian before taking any steps. In the meantime, just use the forums as usual :-)

I don't think us changing the password in the backend would help, although we could possibly test it with a FB test account.  There are FB fields which sync the account to FB, so I would guess it is expecting the login through FB.

 

The easiest fix would be to sign up again and we merge the two accounts.

 

Let us know if you will just do the latter.
