Yet naother newbie

I'd like to say hi to everyone, I'm new to the world of Tao, and I'm trying to work it into my life. I have a few questions that I need to speak with experienced (at least more experienced than myself) Taoist practitioners about.

Basically, I'm looking for some guidance, even though I know it's supposed to be about me finding my own way.

In any case, I'm 28, female, and stuck in Ohio. I am slowly seeing how the universe works, how Tao works, and it's very intriguing. Biggest problem I'm working with right now is the past, and wanting things. Which is one of the questions I will be asking about. If anybody wants to, this is what I want to know:

Is it really bad to want things? By "things" specifically I mean I am at the point where I am very tired of living in apartments, and I want a home. Is that a "bad" thing?

In any case, nice to meet you all and I am looking forward to speaking with you.

Hi Aamalthea,

Welcome!

May you enjoy your time here.

Personal opinion: Get your home if you can handle the financing.

No, there is nothing wrong with having things. The problem comes in when we attach ourself to the things we have - when the things become a part or extension of us.

Be well!
