  1. The abbot of Shaolin temple has apparently been arrested in China for embezzlement, and it is also claimed he has many illegitimate children. I saw some headlines that stated the Shaolin abbot has already been replaced with a new abbot now due to this. BREAKING: The Head of the Shaolin Temple Just Got Arrested For those who may not be aware, many of the '$haolin' and 'Daoi$t' martial arts schools in China that cater to foreign and local students are really just for profit businesses, and some/many involved with those businesses are not exactly pillars of authenticity and morality. After the cultural revolution such traditions were pretty much wiped in mainland China. What exists now is largely for profit businesses. Potential students beware.
