I was trained for a few years as a very young child, can't remember any of it though! *pout* lol
Â
The most magical cartoon I had as a kid was scooby doo !

And some teachers have new people asking them daily to please teach them.... so obviously they would want to see some extra initiative, a good deal or raw talent, or etc.
Â
Fortunately though, magick teachers are a dime a dozen on the internet, so it shouldn't be too difficult to find some who would teach you and that you like. Though looking for them on a forum which is based on other paths primarily might not get the best results .

In the meantime, while we are waiting until January 10th..

No need to practice hard this week if you don't want to. Michael Mohoric is sending out healing chi all week so everyone can just relax on Thanksgiving and get there chakras cleansed at the same time. The energy flows to you once you accept it.
Â
SPAM in my thread, that sucks.
Â
And that doesn't help one's own personal practice at all.

I have work and family stuff right now, so my posting and reading has slowed down quite a bit...

A little off topic, but my 14 year old said he was interested in building a computer. I think I'll let him, there's probably not much cost savings, but learning how its done and the ability to upgrade later will be worth it.
Â
Matter of fact that might be an good angle for you MooNinite. If you go ahead, create a class where people prepay then go to your place to learn how to put it together. Why? Learning innards of computers, great customization, future upgradeable. Planning class free- talking about how's and why's, then a money commitment is needed and class starts in 3 weeks. Learn and build. You make the same or more money, but the students do the work!!
Â
Actually you save quite a bit building one yourself, at least if you are going for the high end sorts. Few friends of mine has saved $1000 and up on their systems. Probably only save $100-$200 on a low end system though.

Not much markup on the parts themselves, and then you have to buy 100 of each item.
Â
Be careful with ebay, a lot of chinese manufacturers make fake "brand name" parts (which tend to break in a month or two). They list them as american, japanese, etc. though.
Â
Tiger direct is pretty good price wise. If you live in a small town, you could make quite a bit at it.

When most paths talk about the "soul" and "soul retrieval", it is more like parts of it missing. These parts missing/not still connected to us due to past traumas, accidents and such. Some folks seem to see this as more literal, others as more psychological, many as both.
-
It's gotten all quiet around here, now that we have a nice shiny new section...
Â
Anyone wish to start in with chapter 2?
Â
I will be posting some more chapters, next week.
-
Something wrong with a lot of both? Bring about more peace and joy, while searching for truth.... and/or unravel truth while figuring out for yourself how to bring about more happiness?

Buddhist teachers tend to use the term "soul" quite a bit differently than many other paths from what I have found. Same with Taoists. I'm way too new to anything Buddhist to even start to try to explain.

Throughout 2015, Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche will offer a series of monthly webcast teachings on the topic of Soul Retrieval. This yearlong course is based on Rinpoche’s upcoming book The True Source of Healing: How the Ancient Tibetan Practice of Soul Retrieval Can Transform and Enrich Your Life (Hay House, summer 2015). Each live webcast is free and open to all!

But your "waking" life, is also a dream . What do you do to change your mood, energy and focus when someone off-centers you during the day? You can do the same sorts of things...

I did some circle waking today .

I have no life and nothing better to do - so today I did 4 hours of Spring Forest Qigong. 2 hours and 45 minutes of standing active exercises - and 1 hour and 15 minutes of small universe meditation sitting cross legged on the ground. Since the beginning of the new year I've tried to do between 2 to 4 hours of SFQ daily. I've only missed a few days and usually can do 2 hours. 4 hours is hard though. I'm going to try and do 3 hours a day on work days - and 4 hours a day on my off days for the rest of this contest thing....I was off today and I'm off tomorrow so I will shoot for 4 hours tomorrow.

Times when one has enough free time and health to pull this off are awesome . Get it in while you can!

Helpful, find a teacher, online or even better, in person.
Hurtful, reading books on magick.
