  1. Some minor experience with ratan/escrima, very strong/fast, tends to powder bone on impact. In Indonesia, they are considered true swords.
  2. tonight full supermoon eclipse

Too cloudy here...no doom for me!
  3. The Effects of Psychedelics on Cultivation

I think that these tools can open you up to possibilities, both negative and positive. It seems to open one up to outside interference, but there is probably really truly no inside or outside, so its also probably not so. I've tripped thousands of times, gone months on LSD, shrooms, dissasociatives, stims, downers, uppers, lefters, righters and it truly messes with one. I kind of have a crazy thrill ride death wish, and believe in not much, except when I do, and then that changes too. My advice is that if you value contentment, don't get into habits. If you feel stuck in life however, these things can help you see differently, but you have to take the message that you receive while on them and put it into action. That just takes plain old willpower and stick-to-it-iveness. The entheogens, etc. are not the cure, they are the pointer to the cure. They show the way, but aren't the way. I imagine that if you have an addictive personality, that you will continue to be reborn simply to do more drugs. Part of 'the practice' is being satisfied with life's simple pleasures. That's why I respect the Buddhist way of non-intoxicant using. Mostly I would use these things as exploratory devices - 'desire to know' - shortcuts to unlock Maras, Mayas, makyos, etc. and examine them and maybe be tricked into believing them for a bit, and then realizing the folly of it all (belief - belief is folly!). I am pretty much done with 'em, after over 20 years of intense insanity. Only thing on my bucket list that I will do is Peyote and Ibogaine.....hopefully one day I will be gifted with those experiences. Plenty of other things I haven't tried tried that I would if it came my way, like controlled Datura, things that I am not attached to trying, only Peyote and Ibogaine do I hunger for, LOL. But, yes, these things have been both boon and curse. I have strongly wished that next lifetime I will be reborn in Japan and live a life that is disciplined and without drugs. Not that they dont have 'em there, but less likely to encounter 'em. Drugs....my hate/lovers
  4. Black holes are Gods

See, that proves my point....when you reach the event horizon and 'all laws break down,' it is because you have entered another God's domain and they set the rules.....possibly maybe.
  5. Black holes are Gods

I should worship that which I am, which is a Star. Think about it. You are made of stars. You are therefore stardust. Since you are a star, you can do many things that are cool...such as create new planets Which star you are made of controls your fate....
  6. Chemical regardless of source (plant, man-made), can easily open one up to stuff like this. If you find that you keep having bad experiences with these things, jump ship and stop messing with 'em, even if everyone else is....
  7. How to boost my energy naturally?

Expose your eyes to sunlight or appropriate artificial light often, maintain a regular sleep/wake cycle, pranayama, find new social outlets occasionally to undo redundancy....
  8. some people can take psychoactive compounds one time and have a psychotic break that affects them for the rest of their life. Others can take such compounds thousands of times (like I did), have psychotic breaks that are short term, and come back to normalcy after swearing off such things and going straight edge. Not sure what predisposes one person vs. another besides genetics. I have mental illness inherent in me, as do my mother & father, not to mention like a dozen other close relatives, everything from Asperger's, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, Schizophrenia, and other stuff. The best thing I can say is to go straight edge, eat right, exercise right, take your vitamins and STAY OUT OF YOUR HEAD. Don't reify the anxiety/paranoia producing permutations. Focus on contentment and non-attachment.
  9. Happy bowel movement

Chlorella - for an almost smell free experience, lol
  10. A separate area for anything we might put in our body, discussions of nutritional supplements, and possibly even nutrition?
  11. How does one develop hyper sensory awareness?

Probably sensory deprivation of various sorts will achieve this. If you want better night vision, then go out in dark places often and train that sense. If you want to improve hearing, maybe completely blindfold yourself so you can't see anything, as if you were blind, and so that you focus on hearing ability more. Or play things at a lower volume than you are comfortable with, so that you have to 'penetrate' the sensory data.
  12. Stabilizing full-body breathing

Its interesting that no matter where you concentrate in the body, you are really concentrating in a specified area in the pre-motor and motor cortex(es)...so, its all mind. I can create the sensation of breathing through any part of my body, as if air is passing to/from it. I know that when focusing on the associated pre-motor/motor cortex areas, energy goes there through the efferent nervous system, and likely increases metabolic processes in that area, as well as afferent consciousness. I just was researching to what extent O2/CO2 exchange occurs in the integumentary layer, and its 1-2% standard, but then I wondered what it might be if focus is brought upon a certain area....the state of having almost no obvious inhalation/exhalation while meditating, combined with supersensual awareness, makes me think that integumentary respiration may be increased significantly when relaxing the myofascial/meridian systems...
  13. Dream Yoga

Just saw this on Facebook: http://yournewswire.com/7-herbs-that-alter-your-consciousness-create-amazing-dreams-are-legal/
  14. ...the greatest thing we can do for ourselves, is to do something healing/teaching/good for someone else..
  15. Tendon strengthening

So I have tendencies to develop tendinitis this lifetime....in most, if not all joints. Some possible fibromyalgia, etc. stuff. I would like to break through and be able to strengthen the joints. Have some good nutrition knowledge already, but wondering what advice people have for tendon strengthening exercises? Mantak Chia stuff any good?
  16. Taoism have karmic laws like Buddhism?

But there seems to be a reset between lives of sorts, the 'original face' state, which we seem to begin with. It seems that it is our parents which set the potential tendencies (genetics/environment/nurture). Hard to say...even the Buddha said 'dont think on such things as 'was I before, will I be again,' etc. The Tao also says don't think/try to know. In the end, it appears that one should simply seek the best tendencies irregardless.
  17. Sometimes I feel/think that...

I've been thinking a lot about bodhichitta, and emptying the heart of malice. That's what sparked this thread. Wasn't some kind of hallmark card feeling, lol. Serious spiritual reflection. When ones own ego is ground down to the point of seeing no point in trying to attain, consume, seek name, fame, or gain, one can get lost in feeling bereft of purpose. This seems to be a middle section of a path. Then, when desires to add to the little self have been extinguished, there are still desires. Don't know right now, just trying to see emptiness...
  18. Ketchari Mudra

From a yogic perspective, it is supposed to encourage the flow of amrita nectar. I wouldn't cut the frenulum myself, just inserted that for anthropological reference....the amrita nectar has a sweet flavor, but I tend to think that it is just cerebrospinal fluid, which is overdeveloped and overexpressed in meditators, containing charged particles, and nutrients....
  19. Before meditation practices

Ideally, aspire to enter meditation 24/7. Permanent cultivation. It's what's for dinner.
  20. Ketchari Mudra

There's that girl who supposedly holds the record for the longest tongue, who can touch her own tongue to her eyeball? I bet she could do Kechari mudra real easy. I thought to message her and ask her to try it...I used to practice it back in the day and the intention will create the stretch. Some yogis would slowly abrade the frenulum over time to encourage the stretch...
  21. Before meditation practices

Deliver excess shakti to the ground state by allowing spontaneous kriyas to perform themselves through the body until the distracting energies have found their place.
  22. Dream Yoga

Half the reason I would lose a lucid dream was because I got so excited that I had become lucid, and interested in exploring my lucidity, that I would wake up. So I started trying to remind myself that the next step when lucidity was reached was to try to do very little, to avoid that effort of will which would spark a wake up.
  23. Dream Yoga

I would add that what we experience is a creation of the minds, plural. Whether you see it as the unconscious, subconscious, and conscious; LDT, MDT, UDT; or the enteric, somatic/autonomic, and central nervous systems, etc. It is a unified axis of minds which can maintain supreme awareness within, regardless of which mind you are most in. Anyways, I used to practice westernized lucid dreaming techniques, and had good results with the following techniques: -wake to sleep: set your alarm early, then go right back to sleep -constantly question whether you are dreaming, all day long...this will ingrain the habit within you, and result in catching dreams. -find cues in everyday themes that trigger a 'am I dreaming check' such as any time you see sneakers, or anytime you notice yourself playing with a ring you usually wear, etc. -tratak exercises -pure intention to wake up in the dream, either through mantra, or direct without words, held strong until one falls asleep -master relaxation technique so fierce, that one can go directly from wake to dream, without losing lucidity. Practice a one hour savasana sometime
  24. ...yet still be out in the world, amongst the 'Sexual Giants,' so-to-speak, yet not get caught in the web of give/take ramifications. I have many ideas, chiefly, emptiness of form meditations. Non sexual visualizing, but where it becomes difficult to a recent ex-sexer is how to maintain an open, free-flowing heart, compassion, etc. Without giving off wrong signals, or taking in offered energies subconsciously, and not meaning to, thereby incurring some kind of karmic debt. Who has practiced and achieved such sublimation, without leaving society?
  25. Preventing Jing Loss

Interesting. I do like sleeping on my right side. I guess then, that one should arrange ones loins so that there will be little chance of contact with anything in the evening. Boxers vs. Briefs! Lol
