The collective noun for Imps is 'a portent of Imps'. Who knew?

I decided to redeem the time by washing down all paintwork. Doing all ironing. Cleaning all through house from top to bottom. Washing and drying all towels and sundry dog bedding. Mowing lawns ( yesterday during a break in the rain). Mrs GMP back this evening and delighted. I shall pop into work tomorrow for a little rest.

Our local Buddhists are really nice folks. We have Western Pure Land ( Caroline Brazier's group) in the next village and New Kadampas with a cafe and recruiting place just behind the Cathedral in Leicester plus their retreat centre just up the road from us. Two very different 'sorts' of Buddhism but very similar - jolly nice- people. One could not imagine any of them banging on so very fractiously like some of our ' Buddhist' chums on here do. Anybody who had never met a Buddhist on meeting someone like one of our Buddha Bum chums and listening to them would be as likely to think... " Well if that's Buddhism you can stick it where the sun shineth not."... as ever they would think.... " Ah a petty minded, squabbly religion out to score points and stifle polite debate. That's just what I'm looking for."

+1 Cultivating Nembutsu will generally sort out any and all issues along these lines. May be an idea to talk things over with someone professionally medically qualified as well though. Auditory hallucinations are always best checked out.

In context though, they'd not be 'dwarfs' as such would they? I mean if everybody there was a dwarf ( by our reckoning) how would they know and why should they care? There's sure to be a planet somewhere out there where being 20 foot tall is seen as being a tad on the short side . To those folks we'd be a 'dwarf planet'.
