  1. Question about Falun Dafa / Falun Gong

The wife of the Premier of China was a Falun Dafa practitioner before it was banned, as were some members of the government. The story is that some official created a paranoid perception of Falun when he realized that the membership in Falun Dafa outnumbered the membership in the Communist Party so therefore if these people ever organized as a political group then it could be a threat to the government. That is at least one story that I read about.
  2. Question about Falun Dafa / Falun Gong

As I shared a few years ago about Falun Gong, famous Kung Fu master George Xu brought out an almost identical form before Falun Gong was made public. He learned it from an old master in Shanghai. He calls it Wu Wei. I had it tested by Eric Isen and Wu Wei tested as more powerful and beneficial than Falun Gong. He saw that it also results in an energy wheel being installed but it is shaped slightly different than the wheel from Falun Gong but the wheel is more powerful from Wu Wei. The only thing I did not care for when I was doing Wu Wei was the eerie music that plays during the form.

In reply to the 73 yr old dude: as a 71 yr old dude I would add to Earl Grey's accurate clarification by suggesting you start with volume one, watch it all the way through before trying anything while you keep Earl Grey's instructions in mind and the process should all sink in then. Volume 4 should be way down the road after the first three volumes have been worked with for a nice while. Otherwise, a beginner looking at volume 4 could be intimidated by the many movements needed to be learned.

Riding the Ox, on one level your suggestion is correct. On another level I would guess you have never had a consultation with Eric Isen.

The Ama-Deus healing method from the oldest tribe on Earth in the Amazon in Brazil has a simple method which is used for people who have crossed over to the other side so that they will make better choices next time around. It uses a symbol that we were taught. At first I was not impressed after learning the Reiki like Ama-Deus energy healing method until one day I met someone who had such a bad back condition that she was on lots of pain killers and had to work an important job from home. So I tried using my Ama-Deus remote energy healing method on her. She reported that the next day was the first day she could remember since her injury that she did not have to take any pain killer and that she had so much energy that she was able to put up her Christmas decorations instead of having to remain in bed. So that made a believer out of me. So when someone that I know dies I use this Ama-Deus symbol for them if I remember to do so.

Your information is probably from a more recent source than mine is. He sounded disappointed in himself for putting out too many techniques rather than just keeping it simple. By the way, that image you have of the energy going up the spine into the upper energy centers brings to mind a very brief and simple method from Stephen Chang that Ken Cohen teaches in his book, The Way of Qigong" on page 158 called Brain Cleansing. You do slow breathing for awhile and then breath in a white mist that goes to the base of the spine, hold the breath and then visualize the white light going up into the head and bathing the brain and then exhale. There are some more simple details to this very short method best to use in the morning and then before bed. My instructions here are not detailed enough to do the method correctly. I just wanted to give a general idea of the process that your image reminds me of.

I read a long response to a question he was asked on Facebook and he said his premise is that energy must be felt strongly when you are doing any of the internal energy arts but few people are able to do this. He has tried to simplify methods so that people can feel the energy powerfully and then whatever energy art they practice will give them benefits. But without the strong flow of internal energy there is not much benefit. He believes by writing his books he has created too many things for people to do and this is getting away from his goal of simplify the energy work to get right to the experience of it. So that is why I think he is pulling his prior books. He is not getting away from teaching.

I am old enough to have seen the changes in what New Ager has meant. My personal definition for New Ager when I began my path in 1973 was a person who was seeking a spiritual method outside of, or in addition to traditional religious dogma. But for some, the term seems to be synonymous with kooky or weird. But New Age pursuits have blended slowly and nicely into main stream society by now. Things that were considered as weird and ridiculous are now valued by society as a whole. For example, I remember in the late 1970's a former coworker calling me up and telling me the reason my resume for psychologist jobs was not garnering any job interviews was because the resume included under skills, "meditation instructor". He suggested to make that sound less strange, I change it to read "stress reduction instructor". I followed his advice and soon had multiple job offers. Now meditation is a more valued and understood activity. Whereas previously, meditation was associated with New Age weirdness.

So many of Sifu Terry's replies can be considered to be masterpieces in and of themselves, so I think Earl Grey's thoughts about when the book will be ready is very accurate. Due to the trait of perfectionism, which is what I perceived from my very first reply from Sifu Terry, I think the book will mirror the quality of the Flying Phoenix DVDS which I have always considered to be the highest quality of any of the 90 qigong DVDs that I have in my collection. In my mind, his book will be like no other qigong book ever written and thus worth the long wait. Buy it when you can because it will become a rare classic. I also second Earl Grey's suggestion to consult with Eric Isen if you want to find out what is the optimal amount of time for you personally to spend doing FP so that you can obtain maximum benefits. None of us would be able to determine this on our own, we would just be guessing or basing the amount on parameters that might not be want our mind/body/spirit would determine as most beneficial. As Eric has said to me many times, qigong works differently for different people. So there is no universal most beneficial amount of time that can be recommended.

I think I read that the meditations that are on volume 6 will only be taught to private students in the future and thus it will not be re-released.

One way, and just one of multiple ways of looking at this kundalini experience is that some highly regarded true spiritual masters have stated that the Universe is currently producing some unique and powerful energies. I think that the more sensitive types are registering these energies as they ultimately serve to raise our consciousness. And the most powerful and quickest way for this to happen is by kundalini reaching the upper chakras. Many people are reporting spontaneous kundalini experiences the last few years. My opinion is that if this is happening to someone they might consider stabilizing the process by engaging in some kind of daily spiritual/energy practices such as meditation and qigong so that the kundalini is channeled in a grounded way. Educating oneself about kundalini is also important, I would think. Sounds like quite a gift to have kundalini rising experiences, assuming the recipient is of sound mind and body. Meaning emotionally stable without having significant mental health condition.

In replying to Earl Grey about energy signatures from Chi, Eric Isen has on occasion let me know the degree of healing energy that certain remote energy healers are able to generate. He has told me at times that a particular healer's energy is not strong enough to do the healing that the healer claims he can do. And in a particular case of a person who claims his musical CDs contain special sounds that heal he has tested this person's work and informed me that person indeed has a gift and his sounds will do what he claims. He also told me which of his musical pieces would be most beneficial for me to listen to. So definitely high energy people are able to spontaneously transmit their Qi. This also has been validated several times by the Transcendental Meditation organization with scientific studies published in journals. The energetic effect of a large group of meditators doing the TM Siddhis program resulting in very coherent and observable brain wave patterns can spontaneously cause other TM meditators at great distances away to have greater brain wave coherence. And this brain wave coherence from the TM meditators also produces greater coherence in the general population if a particular city just has one percent of its population doing the TM Siddhis program. I want to stress that this method does not consist of a large group sitting around thinking peaceful thoughts. The scientific technique is called the Maharishi Effect. First discovered after TMers all over the world reported that when they did TM their pets would fall into a deep sleep. That led to doing scientific research experiments and repeating the results in various cities about this one percent effect. This does not apply to other methods of meditation. But the point here is that yes, energy, Qi can and does spontaneously effect other people. My wife has reported many times that she knows when I am doing qigong because she can sense the energy even though she was not told by me that I am somewhere in the house doing my qigong at that time. Some people can sense the Qi from others while some people are sensitive enough to actually see the energy and report it as blue, gold or white in most cases. Eric has seen and described the colors produced from some of the Doo Wai meditations that he has tested for me.

This answer was very helpful and it makes sense that is how the repetitions are supposed to be done. It takes the guess work out of the equation. One less thing to worry about if we are doing it the right way or not.

I am really glad to see this explanation of Volume 5 of FP because I think it seldom gets mentioned on this thread but from the testing done on these quick and easy to learn meditations by Eric Isen I consider them to be very important because of what they actually do for you. I already shared that in a previous post which Earl Grey referred to. The timing of this recent question is perfect since I recently have had the inner voice prompting me to go back to Volume 5 and often would wonder if it would be OK to do multiple repetitions of them. Interesting how the Universe can sometimes respond to your individual concerns. It might be time to repost Eric's test results for those meditations along with the disclaimer that all qigong practices do not necessarily produce the same exact effects on each practitioner. Eric literally sees that Chi is an energy guided by its own intelligence that tells it where it is needed to go in the body and energy bodies. It does not require mental direction to try to steer it to a specific location. It knows where to go and what to do when it gets there.

To Deltrus and others looking to mirror any Flying Phoenix videos for learning. The easiest and quickest way is to play the video in your computer by using the free VLC software download and go to the dashboard to select Tools, then press video effects, then press geometry and then check the transform box and check flip horizontally and then check save and you will then have a mirrored version playing. As it plays in mirrored version press the red record button and you will have it stored in your VLV library under My Videos and it will play in the mirrored format. Before someone on here posted about VLC I used to have to put my laptop screen in front of a mirror to try to learn new qigong forms. It was too much work having to reach over and press pause so many times that it prevented me from learning so I would just put away the dvd. But with mirroring it is now easy to learn.

Make your learning of volume 3 easier by using the free software media player VLC which allows you to flip the image from the dvd horizontally so that you and Sifu are moving in the same direction. That saves stress from the brain having to figure out left from right and going in the opposite direction of the instructor. VLC also allows you to slow down the speed if you want to in order to see more clearly the nuances of the movements. Plus you can record from the disc and keep the video on your computer with VLC. Makes for less stressful learning experience. Before being told about VLC I discarded some of my qigong dvds because I just could not transpose the movements in my mind in order to follow along. The confusion was too stressful so I just gave up further attempts at learning them.

I was looking over some of my older chi kung testing reports from the Ayurvedic medical clairvoyant, Eric Isen, and how some of them fit my recent desire to do qigong for development of Shen/spiritual/consciousness growth. For Flying Phoenix Chi Kung volume 7, meditation number 4, breathing sequence 60-70-40-5, he found for me: "7th chakra enlivenment and opening with golden light flooding the area. Also, Pineal gland strengthened." So with those encouraging benefits forecast I quickly relearned advanced meditation 4 last night. If I remember correctly, this one is nicknamed the Waker Upper and should not be done late at night because it creates energy in the brain. Several years ago when I was doing that I verified that is true and lost some sleep. Looking forward to again adding Flying Phoenix back to my daily routine of Chi Kung for health and spiritual development. The Monk Gazing at the Moon position of meditation 4 resulted in very strong sensation of Chi and there is the temptation to keep holding that one before moving on to the next position. But, as usual for Flying Phoenix, the slower you go, the stronger the sensations. This one will now be part of my morning chi kung practice and definitely not late at night.

Once again I have to second what Sifu Terry has claimed for Circling Palms from Tao Tan Pai. When I was learning that movement about 4 years ago I found that if I then performed the few other qigong methods that I was also doing at the time, those other methods were noticeably enhanced because for the first time I could actually feel Qi flowing as I was performing the movements. The only thing that could account for this more powerful experience of Qi flow was the TTP Circling Palms which I had learned from Sifu Terry in a private Skype session. That experience of really feeling something while performing qigong really took my enjoyment to another level. And it is an axiom that the foundation must be laid before moving on to the next level. Ip Man of Wing Chun kung fu fame taught that the first form of Wing Chun called Sil Lim Tao, is the most important one and his son stated that is the form that his father practiced the most. The foundation form contained the skills that would be needed for the next levels. So if a student did not master the first level but then went on to the next level he would not be able to perform it effectively. I remember introducing Flying Phoenix Chi Kung to a very experienced qigong practitioner who had great sensitivity to energy. He decided because of his qigong experience that he did not need to order any of the beginning FP dvds. He went right to volume 4, tried it once and declared that there was nothing special about it. I think that comes with disregarding the basics and going straight to the advanced stuff.

I think this last post sums up the situation nicely and it would be nice if this thread could return to its intention of being for Flying Phoenix Chi Kung topics. The topic on dreams clearly does not relate to FP and the contributor has been asked to continue that topic if he wishes on his own thread or elsewhere.

Yes, psychic brain surgery is actually not a joke but is being done to rewire the brain to support Awakening, enlightenment, etc. and is a safe Divine energy at work. People in the formerly called Oneness Blessing movement of the avatar Sri Amma Bhagavan, now called the Golden Age movement, are experiencing very rapid true enlightenment that people have previously only read about but have almost never experienced. It is now happening on a large scale thanks to the new energy of the Golden Age movement methods led by the avatar for this age. A few years back when doing one of the advanced Doo Wai qigong forms Eric also saw a certain energy entirely filling up my body and I was being blessed by it with the result that it was repairing my brain. I have recently gone back to doing this particular meditation. So Earl Grey is indeed blessed to have this FP energy doing this special task for his nervous system. But I am told this is how it works, unbelievable as it does sound.

The sessions for Eric Isen have been $108 for the initial one hour session, and then $90 for the one hour follow up sessions. There is a level of consciousness described in the Vedas, the oldest health care system on this planet, where all you need to do is introduce the name of something, and then spontaneously that object or situation or condition manifests at least in your awareness. I will repeat here just one experience from the many that I have had with Eric over the past 22 years. Our adopted 5 year old daughter was undergoing explorative surgery at the world renown Johns Hopkins Hospital with a team of pediatric surgeons. Before that began we asked Eric to scan her condition. He came back with the results several minutes before the surgeons consulted with us about their findings. The report from the surgeons was close to verbatim as to what Eric had told us he had seen. During my first session with Eric in 1997 this story bears repeating because I enjoy recalling it so much. I was referred to him by a friend and I had much skepticism when I called him. However, that was doubt was blown away after he was able to tell me what I eaten for desert and that I had consumed it too late in the day. He then told me he saw smoke in my lungs while we having the session. Now my doubt crept back in because I never smoked and I had not been around any second hand smoke. So I was certain that he was way off the mark on that. Several minutes later during our session I was aware of smelling sandalwood incense and then I remembered that before making the call to Eric I had lit a stick of incense in the kitchen. So there indeed was smoke in my lungs. A few years ago my wife fell and then had Xrays for her wrist and the doctor told her it was not fractured. She then called Eric and he said he saw two places in the wrist where there were fractures. So she then went to a specialist and he looked at the Xrays and spotted 2 fractures just where Eric had described them. Enough said about that.

Someone will surely supply that answer because it would be quite a task to have to read thru 195 pages to find that information. One definitely is from Volume 7.

When I looked at the ruins of that temple my first thought was that it was the result of the Khmer Rouge faction in Cambodia, as portrayed in the movie, The Killing Fields. A tragic world event that did not get much news in the USA.
