  1. I've been a big fan of MMA for a long time and just recently started delving into the idea of Qi and after thorough research...its definitely real. And what further impresses me is things like Iron Shirt. What if UFC fighters started training in this area...they'd have unstoppable bodies! Discuss it
  2. Mantak Chia for Iron Shirt and Iron Pants

But on the flip side many Muay Thai fighters came to china to fight San Shou guys under San Shou rules and muay thai lost. But I think a good martial artists knows the external and the internal arts. What about a Muay Thai fighter whos well versed in iron shirt and iron pants? Thats a deadly combo.
  3. Any one know if there is any benefit in circular rubbing(counterclockwise and clockwise) of the dan tien 300 times each every day? I was reading it somewhere.

  5. Its not about showing off...its about building yourself up and self improvement. Here you are attacking everyone who has curiousity to learn something new and interesting. Who are you to judge and what gives you the right to judge someone else's motivations for wanting to learn the way? A well known member just private messaged me on here, I wont say his name telling me that the same old card is used over and over by people on this forum who think they are better or more advanced in their discipline and tell others "Your not ready to learn" or "You don't deserve to learn it" or "You lack to discipline to learn it". If you think the people that want to learn Mo Pai have an ego issue with wanting power, I can only imagine what some of you self-proclaimed masters think. You are acting no different than a power hungry person who wants power by trying to control and deter people from learning what they want. I'll play devil's advocate...There are many black arts on this world not related to qigong in the supernatural realm for which people have strange and unusual powers. Are some of them evil...oh yes...do they come out in public? No they dont. So your first assumption of trying to group power hungry people, evil people, and showing off all in one batch is ignorant. There are people who want this power to make the money or want this power to do bad...but you know what...the universe doesn't discriminate on motive alone. There are many people out there that practice white magic and black magic for their own purpose. If the universe or mo pai truly discriminated against good vs bad intention then there wouldn't be an ounce of bad in this world. Its Yin Yang... The reason why people choose a school like mo pai or similar to mo pai is because it has a lot of promise for self advancement of the individual. Its human nature to see evidence in front of your eyes and go with that evidence. You try to lump everyone into one category and are trying to say "You dont deserve it because you think your too special". I can tell your motivations here are trying to deter aspirants from training even if they had the manual in front of them. Its like saying Mr X is a world class Muay Thai fighter and world champion...and now there are 100's of fighters training, but Mr X is 1 in a billion. And these other 100's of fighters only make it to level 1. What you fail to see is...its not about trying to be like Mr. X. Its trying to strive for the most you can give. With your negative thinking you will never be your true potential. I'd rather be a muay thai fighter and be level 1 than never making it. And lastly I hate to make it so obvious to everyone here but if your reading this don't try to justify your intentions on why your training in an art to seek approval for people here...Stop trying to show that you have good intentions...because you will get guys like this person here thinking he knows more because hes trained in QiGong for many years.
  6. My path isn't enlightenment its really to cultivate yin and yang and mix and match with that energy. Do you feel the six yogas of naropa can help with that? I also dont want to get into religion of buddhism so I hope that 6 yogas will not do that to me. Since I dont want to convert or anything like that. Also is there a good book out there that can break down these stages and teach it all correctly?
  7. 1. Maybe at the deepest level I do seek power. But its not to harm nor help anyone. For me these skills are a benchmark to let me know I'm on the right path and getting the most of my training. I'd rather NOT attain any special abilities and waste a ton of time meditating and getting nothing out of it if I was on the right path that can help me develop myself. 2. This assumption was based on a conversation I had with Jim McMillian. His opinion was that these other systems are too invested in obtaining Yang Energy.
  8. I agree...but my problem is I dont know the easiest way to harness yin... I do breathing meditation and vary my styles with 1. Push stomach in as you breath in and push stomach out and you exhale 2. Push stomach out as you breath in and push stomach in and you breath out. Is meditation all yin energy?
  9. Can you go further into this?
  10. I agree I do need more yin and would really like to know all ways to really cultivate it.
  11. I want to know for real...I've done my own research and have read about 2nd hand stories about QiGong masters pushing away attackers without a single touch, you know what I'm talking about because all those videos are all over youtube. Even my own asian friend told me of a story where his grandfather and father sparred and the father could never touch the grandfather. But the grandfather never told him how to attain this power. The only conclusions that I could come to from doing all this research is that yes this energy is real but you have to have some sort of rapport or connection with the person your are using it against in order for it to work. So for example, once I mastered it, I could use it against my friend, family member, coworker because they all know me, are close to me, or have some form of link to me. But if you put me up against Joe Schmo off teh street who doesn't know me, then he would not be affected by my QiGong energy. Tell me if this is true or not? Give me your take.
  12. Is all of this really true about QiGong?

I still dont understand either of your replies guys. I am asking a question. I am no expert here. This is a question I am asking... Does QiGong work against strangers like how it does in this youtube video?
