    If you go to my website you can download the true edition of the DDJ that was taught to me 1987 by one of my masters Lao Tzu.

     

    You can also read more verses that he wrote while at the gate keepers house that have never come to light, there are I believe many reasons for this, on new verses thread.

    No Problem , Same way it is taking you months to write and compile your thoughts. Same way it will take me a while to read them. And even tho' i may not always understand parts ov it or not always agree, i am sure i will always find it interesting & insightful. :rolleyes:

    I Like the concept of 'useless / useful ' but the difference between Harmony and Balance sumhow eludes me. like sumthing on the edge of my mind and i can just about grab it, but it is out of reach. :P although am gettin closer to understanding what Rocky Lionmouth meant by negativity.

    Thanx everyone, the jow does stuff works link, was what i had already cum across and what lead me to ask the question in the 1st place. Anmd now that i have had time 2 both reflect and read these answers i have cum to realize dat DAO wouldn't be concerned about creation except maybe the chapter that says in part " One became Two, two became three, and three is the mother of ten thousand things" Thanx also 4 the mindfulness link i will futher investigate that when i get off of work 2nite. i look forward to hearin whwt others have to say on this subject. :)

     

    You guys are so awesum i learn so much when i cum here it is hard 2 find a space to hold all this knowledge ;)

    I am wondering studing different concepts on creation and the tree of life and am curious as to how the Dao views Creation & it's creation stories and if there is any concept of the Tree Of Life in Daoist Thought

    There is a season for all seasons. A season to contemplate by one self or with others, and a season to not contemplate with oneself or with others.

     

    I Am all for going off alone and communing with nature and cultivating oneself to reach whatever goal one has set. At some point being alone and cultivating oneself is most neccessary. !!!!

    I will have 2 read this again to really understand it. In the meantime let me just say that a balance between negative and positive, is neither negative or positive. It is a flow which goes frum one aspect to the other and bax again. Like the Small Heavenly Circle which flows up the spine and then down the front of the body. One flow is positive and the other is negative, but neither one is good or bad cause without one you do not have the other.

    Grow ya roots deep in the earth and let ya branches touch the sky Originally Tao was a school of thought that worshipped no deitys, then Da Mo {Bodidharma} came along and mix buddhist religion with Taoist Thinkin and came up with Zen Buddhaism. So Zen is actually a mixture of Tao and Buddhism.

     

    As for the tao view of homosexuality it is my understanding that, the tao leaves it up to the individual as to what his/her sexual orientation is. There are certain groups of taoist tho' that advocates certain practices like refraining from sex altogether.

     

    If you are gay embrace it and be who you are. and whether you are taoist or buddhist be who you be, :D

    It's can be messed up when you see both sides of an issue and anything you say would place in the camp you do not want to be in. But the clincher for me is this is a public school then no students should feel alienated or coierced {forced}.

    All i can realli say is If you had to force it , then how much truth is in it {can you spell lack ov faith}

    Just A Suggestion Try circulating the energy in the mircocosmic orbit, and stop using it just for sex. You need to be mindful of your goals. i like you am shy and i like the sexual aspects of these type of training but there is more to all this then just SEX !

    When i 1st started to read this topic i had something to say. But after having readin all the post. i no longer feel that i have anything to add. as what i would have said would be out of place. :blink:

     

    i have learned a lot. from this and it has only served to make realize how much the bible was cleverly written to confuse and control others. People are put in a position that they will not think for themselves for fear that God will punish them. :angry: We speak without thinkin and quote without knowing what is said and call anyone who has an opposin point ov view a devil and a satanist :excl: {i'm not talkin about the posters but of the people in general}

     

    i am so Gladd i follow the Dao and not all this Christianity crap

    i need to stop cause this is startin to make me angry
