Dark Humor aside,.. Yesterday,I didn't have a lunch packed. And when that time rolled around , I momentarily considered my regular fast food establishment. Should I still eat there? With this Corona thing going around? What if they sneezed all over my burger? And it occurred to me ,that there was a chance of this LAST year, and the year before that, and so on, stretching back to my birthday , and through past lives I don't even know about. And I was comforted, because they ALREADY try not to sneeze on our food. There has ALWAYS been , such threats, and OTHER kinds. EVERY day ,we get up, and negotiate hazards just as bad as Corona, and of the same sort. I wanted to share this deep insight, Which no one else has thought of.

It seems that emergencies require very specific supplies. For Corona, buy eggs and TP , for hurricanes, get tarps n pop-tarts. Nuclear war requires desks to hide beneath. And for nerve gas attacks we duct tape. But.. What do we need for earthquakes? Fire extinguishers ?

If I may jump in, and understand the question, the answer is yes. The significance of anything lies in the observer. 'There is no beauty in the stars, it lives in ourselves. ' We project upon ourselves an identity, morality. We project upon things, their use and appeal. But colloquially, projection is understood to mean an incorrect assessment, which is due to our own hidden reality... I was feeling a bit complacent , till I saw the tragic clips coming out of Wuhan through the Epoch Times. I can't help but think that the reactions are exacerbating the plight. It's not going to be like the Passover ,and a cool wind will blow it away. Eventually people are going to have to go back to work, to earn their daily bread. Back to lives and loves. We deal with threats to our welfare daily. That's where courage and wisdom are. You hope for the best, and when you can, hug your family and friends all the more warmly.

And i thought to myself that this was precisely the time for spiritual leaders to step to the forefront and help the people deal with this. He really handled it well, he has a nice gentle sense of humor, and crystal- clear bead on the human condition. While it would be unwise to go around hugging everybody.. we can do the things to mitigate the hazards for the larger community ,and ourselves, recognizing we play a part. Maybe you consider bringing your older relatives back into the home. Maybe you give your neighbors your phone number, just in case. You clean up your act ,stem to stern ,so to speak.
