  1. LMFAO

However, I have several enemies, both in real life and in the spiritual dimensions, who seem hell-bent on stopping me from changing my body into light. They have forced these masters to refuse the light-body teachings to me.

  2. And thank god for the variety!

Can you imagine if all we had was datura, amanita muscaria and benadryl?

    edit:

Seriously, though. I think it's safe to say that there are definitely psychadelic "families" that all have their own unique "flavor", if you will. The tryptamines, phenethylamines, dissociatives, deliriants, etc.

I wouldn't put the classic tryptamines such as LSD, shrooms and DMT in the same cateogry as Iboga.

Not all fruit taste like bananas! But they're (almost) all sweet.

Better not fall into the folly of doing comparisons like that. Many psychedelics have the same tryptamine root. Differences will be due to secondary effect on the psyche (like soothing or mind-clarity), the outer setting (environment, shaman's influence, spirit of the plant) and probably the most influential is the inner state.

The spectrum of experiences is so huge that the degree of overlap will be tremendous. The things you described about iboga(ine) can also be experienced with DMT. It depends a lot on the personality, the whole situation. This is emphasized by the fact that some people have profound experiences the first time while others are taking it regularly and don't, or that sometimes the amount consumed has very little influence on the depth of the experience.

The inner state is so profoundly relevant to the experience that the 'mind' can even instantly and completely end a DMT trip like someone flipped a switch. (not really voluntarily though)

Thus, much of the said differences might originate from people's belief in them. It's explainable psychologically. The mind is an analysis (separation) tool. Take two substances with a huge spectrum of experiences and sooner or later people will shape a difference.

I've recently gotten a few iboga documentaries, but didn't watch them yet. I like that it is easier to handle, e.g. not needing a MAO inhibitor.

Again... the inner process, from a biochemical view, is very similar with all psychedelics. You open up third eye, crown, higher chakras, that kind of stuff.

I also suspect that people claim that DMT is so different from other psychedelics in how real it is perceived because DMT is produced by the body, so it is fully familiar and innately associated with the creation of our perceived reality.

Some people even claim to have had 'out there' experiences with heavy use of cannabis.

Take this metaphor: You can fasten a screw by hand, with a screwdriver or a power drill. Same result, same path, but different process.

Deeply rooted fears, misconceptions, beliefs are blocks to the process of removing them and enabling spiritual progress, if you will.

From my experiences, expectations and attitudes are no problem at all, because ayahuasca will just dump all those into the trashcan. Ayahuasca will very likely show you what you don't expect, and that's part of why it's so effective. During my 'ayahuasca time', I had one trip where I re-encountered a familiar point from an earlier trip, and I backed off again, and with that experience, I tried to prepare myself for next time, so that I could strengthen the intent to break through this time. Well, guess what, ayahuasca waited and waited and waited until I lost concentrtion due to boredom and then eventually I again got surprised with the same old stuff as before.

  3. Funny you mention ayahuasca! I'm doing an iboga ceremony this month. I made a thread about it yesterday. :)

Ask someone who is versed in dream analysis what continuously repeating death experiences in dreams mean.

By the way, if the dreams are really lucid, that would mean that death can't scare you that much, right? Maybe you should try ayahuasca or something like that; Maybe life is telling you to become a shaman. ;)

  4. True, but I'm also basing this on all the anecdotal evidence I have read.

On a pharmacological level, iboga is a lot different from all the other entheogens. It seems to act like a master homeostasis "reset" switch for the brain and nervous system.

I'm in no way trying to put down ayahuasca. I'm just saying it's not exactly the most user-friendly medicine out there..

I wouldn't believe everything you read about this, some people have made a lot of money through Ayahuasca tourism so there are people trying to do the same with Iboga and take some of their crowd. Essentially Ayahuasca will eventually show you your inner essence so it is about inner exploration as well, it's not all about going on a crazy trip.

  5. I located the guy after a lot of searching on the web. He is the owner of ibogahouse.net, and is a 10th generation bwiti shaman.

After talking to him on the phone, it was decided that in my particular case, the ideal length would be 14 days. I will be taking the iboga at least on two occasions. Once to detox my body, and again for the spiritual journey.

The plan includes a cleansing shower, hot springs, time outdoors, extensive 1-on-1 counseling with the shaman, and much, much more (in no particular order).

I'm going on my own. :)

If you're interested in hearing a detailed description of the whole thing, the video I linked in my first post explains it pretty well, since it is the same place.

    Great stuff.

I think I read about it in "Breaking Open the Head" if I remember correctly.

    Some rather practical questions first?

How did you locate the Shaman?

How many days will it take? What is the agenda, plan?

Are you going with a friend or on your own?

  6. That video is satyrical... it's supposed to be a joke. lol

"According to this newsflash from the Future News Network, the coming June 6th Venus Transit will bring an outbreak of world peace and a spontaneous Global telepathic orgasm that will transform human society. Are we about to feel the energies of Venus transforming our world? Watch this for a preview."

  7. I was surprised this hasn't been brought up on the forums yet!

The May 21st galactic allignement (which has to do with this transit of Venus) thread only got a couple of replies. :(

Depending on where you live on this planet, tomorrow the planet Venus will pass

in front of the sun (i.e., in line between the Sun and the earth). In North Amrerica,

this will start around 5 PM Central time tomorrow (Tues June 5, 2012). The sun is much too

bright at that time of day to look at the sun with the naked eye, and you wouldn't be

able to see Venus against the sun anyway without a specially equipped telescope, but none

the less the event will happen tomorrow. Does it have any significance for culitvators? I have

no idea, but just thought I'd mention it anyway. :-)

  8. I'm always curious about these things whenever the Schumann resonance is mentioned.

The thing is, the actual frequency of the Shumann resonance started changing in the past decade or two, and as a result, you would probably be out of tune with the earth's resonant frequency if you did not update it each time..

This looks really awesome. It says it uses the Schumann resonance. I might end up buying their mini resonators.

  9. Hey everyone!

    sazyinitiate2.jpg

For those who are unfamiliar with iboga, I will explain very briefly.

It is an African rootbark that is used by the Bwiti for spiritual purposes in much the same way Ayahuasca is used in South America although Iboga is much more powerful and effective medicine than Ayahuasca in all respects.

Here is a podcast Joe Rogan did with a guy who went to do this ceremony with a bwiti shaman, as will I:

I feel that I am as prepared as I will ever be. I am in the process of writing down what I want to find out about myself. But I was curious about what you guys would ask.

So, if you could have the universe, or your higher self, tell you absolutely anything in the world about anything, including yourself, what would it be? What do you want to know and why?

Also, if anyone would like more information about why I am going, or anything else about Iboga, please feel free to ask! We have had several threads on Ayahuasca, and I think it's time the bums get familiar with this amazing and little-known plant. :)

  10. Hey everyone!

I found out what it is...

    ..Eudialyte!

Which is absolutely AMAZING, because I live in one of the very few areas of the world where this type of crystal is found in nature. Only, this particular one comes from Russia..

..guess it wanted to visit some friends from overseas!

  11. Really, you think so? I dunno... the google images I get for carnelian doesn't look much like it at all..

Carnelian - Mohs Hardness: 6.5 - Treatment: usually heat treated - Color: Light to dark reddish brown/orange (See also Chalcedony)

Carnelian is also called cornelian. This translucent, reddish orange variety of chalcedony was once thought to still the blood and calm the temper. Its various shades of red are due to the presence of iron oxide. Stones may be uniformly colored or faintly banded.

The best carnelian is from India, where it is placed in the sun to change brown tints to red. Although most carnelian on the market is stained chalcedony from Brazil or Uruguay.

Carnelian relieves sexual tension by redirecting the energy stored in the reproductive center of the body; it may also be used to excite sluggish sexual energy.

Unresolved feelings of anger, hostility, and hatred may be harmonized when carnelian is worn at the heart center, as this stone instills powerful sensations of well-being.

Healing PROPERTIES: Brings good luck, happiness, success, prosperity. Positive influence on mental plane. Increases awareness, improves memory. Cleanses aura. Attracts the Great Masters. Helps settle disputes. Enhances accomplishments. Provides faith. Energizes the blood. Protects against illness. Beneficial for tissue regeneration, infections, and inflammations

If you can't scratch it with an opal, but you can with quartz, it;s probably what you've got If you can't scratch it with quartz, get it appraised!

  12. :)

It just came back from a day of bathing in salt water and another day sitting in the sun, so I figure it's fully charged! Hehe.

I just started "working" with crystals... bought a couple dozen different kinds of crystals, and I figured I'd make some use of this one as well. I still have so much to learn (I know virtually nothing).

It weighs a TON... I am eager to find out what kind of properties it has.

  13. Hello fellow bums!

Here's a crystal (or rather, gemstone) ball my dad bought some time ago for 500$ or so.

Does anyone know what type of mineral this is?

The pictures were taken with flash, so it very much enhanced the colors, but normally, it is much much darker than what is pictured.

    Thanks!

  14. I normally do 2x as much of the active movements than the meditation.

I average 3-5 hours a day of practice. I only recently (last month or so) started doing less active exercises and more meditation.

Thanks for all the replies, guys. I think the best thing I should do is schedule a phone session with master Lin. If nothing, he could give me his advice.

  15. I made an illustration to get a better picture of what's going on inside my body. This is how I feel the energy flowing at rest, pretty much all the time.

I drew in red the flow of energy. The larger spots or the "intersections" where the energy tends to accumulate, which are also the focal points in the small universe meditation. The larger the spot, the more intensely I feel the energy there.

  16. I was wondering maybe if I should completely switch to just meditating without focusing on anything. But I do at least need to focus on my breathing.. so I start being aware of the air going into my nostrils and whoop, that focus, or energy, gets caught in the current of the front channel and gets dragged downward. It's really messed up.

I think I'm probably an exception to the rule and did something wrong from the very beginning, but it really sucks when you don't have a teacher. I mean, there is absolutely no frame of reference as to what to be aware of when you're doing something right or wrong.

What I got from master Lin's material is that the goal is to "feel more energy". And by feeling and creating more energy that would automatically lead to unblocking the energy blockages...

What it all boils down to, is it feels like I have created more energy, can feel more energy, but have also created even more blockages!

I DO feel much better mentally and emotionally, but that's probably because of all the regular meditation I started doing along with the qigong.

I need some advise, and fast, because I am getting increasingly frustrated when doing qigong now, since it pisses me off more than anything when things go wrong, and it leaves no room for the emptyness aspect.

  17. So it dawned on me a while ago that I have been doing the microcosmic orbit (small universe, more specifically) incorrectly since I started the practice half a year ago.

Basically, for some reason I thought the front channel was actually in the center of the torso, and not actually at the very front surface of the body. This is for a number of reasons:

-In the Spring Forest Qigong system, the main active exercise has you moving energy in a central column in the body.

-Again in SFQ, the emphasis is always placed on the lower dan tien, and that it is located deep behind the naval. This is repeated during the small universe meditation.. which sort of leads you to think that that is where the axis for the channel is located; in the center of the body.

-It is said that the front and back channels are connected when you touch the roof of your mouth with your tongue. This is also located inside the body.

I started to gradually train myself to move the front channel to the front of my body, and it felt very very awkward and unnatural. Eventually, after about half an hour I can get the energy flowing just like the MCO diagram would depict it, but as soon as I stop it reverts to going back to the center.

Even worse, eventually it started to go back further than the center, and allign itself with my vagus nerve. So what would essentially happen is the energy would flow from my throat directly INTO my heart, and from my heart back down to the lower dan tien area. This caused some immense problems from the strain this put on my heart.

Even with all the work I was doing, the energy sometimes decides to skip onto the vagus nerve and it is extremely, extremely difficult to move it out of there once it gets there. Most of the time I simply have to stop completely and start all over a few hours later.

Also, I can't do the active exercises correctly anymore since I'm completely unable to hold the energy in a central column in the middle of my body. It keeps skipping around everywhere.

I'm at a point right now where I am really frustrated. I have never been so frustrated about anything in my life because of all the work I put into qigong and now I'm even worse off than when I started.

I literally wish I could barely feel any energy at all like when I started instead of having these very intense, out of control lines of energy zig zagging their way between blockages.

Physically, it feels like I am a huge magnet. I feel strong currents of energy moving around my body, mostly in line with the MCO, but occasionally they move around, and it feels exactly like how it feels when you hold two magnets facing the same pole in each hand. They tend to very harshly repel each other, and when I move the energy, it feels more like I'm pushing a magnet around using another magnet with the same pole.

Is this even normal???? I mean, it basically feels like an immense current or river moving around. One going up my back and the other skipping around from point to point going down the middle and front of my body.

The moment any exercise requires me to visualize energy in a part of my body, it immediately gets caught in one of the two currents (mostly the front) and goes along the current very fast.

I don't know what the best thing for me to do would be at this point.

I have tried completely stopping all qigong for an entire week but it didn't change anything. I almost constantly had an irresistible urge to try and consciously reposition the energy during the day because it gives off a nagging physical sensation, especially when it got stuck in the vagus nerve. But even when I ignored it and eventually resumed, I didn't feel like I was in a better position than when I stopped.

FWIW, I have done 3 phone healing sessions with master Lin about 3 months ago, and I am very hesitant to try again because I got no benefit from those sessions. That's not to say they don't work, I'm sure they do, but I did not get any benefit from them.

I don't know any qualified energy workers in my area and I have looked. Acupuncture comes to mind but again, from the two sessions I had in the past, it doesn't seem to do anything.
