    As much as I don't want to spend allot of time educating anyone (especially you because I've spent too much time on you already), what you have noticed is the foundation of kundalini practice. You've noticed that sambhavi, kechari, and head back occur naturally during orgasm. And, if you had xray vision, you would also notice that the bandhas have been applied too (root lock, abdomen tension, perineal squeeze, sucking the lower abdominals inwards and up).

     

    Well, that is part of the practice of kundalini yoga. Kundalini yoga is replicating the body's pose when it orgasms and then trying to send chi/prana from the lower dantien, downwards and then upwards through the central channel while maintaining that pose in order to activate the orgasmic mechanism. Dissolve into the central channel.

     

    Some kundalini teachers are somewhat cautious, or fear that too much pressure from below could cause strokes or blood vessels popping in the head, so instead of putting the head back, they use jalandhara (chin lock) which helps to keep the extra pressure produced by tightening the lower body out of the head. The chin lock blocks the flow.

     

    However, you don't need to wilfully perform the locks and bandhas in order to accomplish this. You can just focus on the area just above the sinuses, one inch behind the center of the brows on the ajna chakra, and the body will perform all the bandhas and locks naturally along with the corresponding energy flows. One small point does it all. Press the button, hold and voila! But you have to be able to sustain your attention at that one single point until you reach samadhi and then it all happens naturally without forcing anything.

     

    So, your observation has its merits..

    In the Secret of the Golden Flower, a detailed instruction about this particular movement was given. I forget exactly the phrase. It's about little baby bird strech out its neck to swallow food (saliva) directly into the "real" stomach.

What is the psychic development in detail, of the two situations, one self directed and promoting autonomy and perseverance and deep connection to the body, and the other surrender and catharsis and activation of infantile shame and any number of power conflicts within the psyche. What in the mind is expanded, in these two situations?

    The mind is the originator. But the form limits the mind. Breaking out of the old form, you expand your mind.

     

    It takes years of hard practice to get into weird position like that lady in the picture. The physical and mental effort factor is 10 from scale of 1 to 10. The mind expansion is around 5. The time line is 2 to 5 years.

  5. My inner guidance usually says 1-2 hours per day of meditation - recommending the best meditation and the best moment and direction to practice. But it is still new to me, communicating with it, and I'm always uncertain whether this guidance is from the spirit of the universe or just my own subconscious or perhaps other sources. It's hard for me to trust it completely sometimes let's just say. Which is why I'm here.

    I was in a strange blissed state for a few weeks. I know it's possible to have a mediated mind in regular life. My goal is to do it 24/7 eventually.

     

    Sitting in full lotus is to practice swimming in a swimming pool. One eventually wants to swin in the pond, lake and occean.

     

    I'm sorry I can't give any solid advice about your particular situation. You should trust yourself. Your worst decision for yourself is still the best choice at that moment.

    The typical Chinese food served at home come with plenty of green leaf vegitables like kale and mustard green. They all taste bitter to me in different degree. And there is bitter melon.

    In addition to the reasons mentioned above:

    If a lower dan tien (LDT) method is not established first as foundational, often people use the mco to avoid the energetics of the lower abdomen. Energy just gets shuttled out of the lower abdomen as a primary solution to build-up there and so true resolution within the LDT doesn't get sufficiently developed. That mistaken approach leads to stubborn troubles down the line.

     

    How do you know the LDT is established? Is there anyway to check it? Thanks.


  8. A typical western diet usually lacks the taste of bitterness. Coffee, beer and bad tea (in a bag) provide that.

     

    According to TCM, one needs to have different taste regularly. Probably some bitterness substitutes is needed.


  9. A few suggestions -

    1. Most people exaggerate the posture in the beginning. All instructions and adjustments should be subtle. The basic instructions I often give are -

    a. Gently lift the crown of the head (as if by a fine thread pulling upward)

    b. This allows the neck to lengthen and the chin to tuck (very slightly)

    c. relax the shoulders, and chest, and allow the back to open and expand slightly - often called sink the chest and pluck up the back

    d. Allow the lower spine to elongate and relax, causing the pelvis to rotate under (tail bone curls under) very slightly. This will cause a potential feeling of contraction in the pelvic floor muscles (you referred to the anus), but make sure it is light and comfortable.

    e. Allow the knee to be very slightly and comfortably bent

    f. Feel the feet fully engaged with the ground

    g. Feel yourself extend both upward, through the crown of the head, and downward, through the feet

    h. Allow yourself to rest between heaven and earth, balanced, supported, floating, effortless

    i. Attend to the thoughts, watch as they come and go without identifying with them, fighting against them, or getting carried away

    j. Attend to the feel within the body and periodically adjust the posture

    k. ALlow the breath to breath itself naturally - for most folks this will be an abdominal breathing pattern

     

    Very good description.

     

    I'm not very flexible and have some blockages. I can't get into the "perfect" position in a static posture. I don't have a teacher to correct my posture either. I figured out a few methods to do self checking.

     

    Shaking. From coarse to fine depending on situation. The vigorous pump to move all the major muscle at the same time. The light finger shake to check the meridian channels.

     

    Skin tention. I don't know exactly how to put into words. I just regard my skin like the membrane on a drum. The tension has to be just right. I start with my feet to tighten my skin in a spiral fasion up to my head. If both my feet go in the same clockwise direction, then my torso would be one rotating piece like rotating belt channel spiral upward. If my two feet go different direction, I split my toro in half, i.e. I move my left ribcase and right ribcase individually.

     

    Mirror. If I can be real still for long enough. My image in the mirror will disappear or very faint. Some minor adjustment and "good" movement won't change that. A "bad" movement or thought will make the image back to solid instantly.

  10. I think theres a deeper reason why ppl do poses instinctively, but that doesn't explain some of the more difficult postures. I can't imagine an orgasm (or any biological process) that can cause somebody to do this

  11. I never understand the English usage of asshole to describe a stupid, incompetent, unpleasant, or detestable person. If asshole was a person, it would be a saint. Think about it, asshole doing a dirty work without any complaints. It doesn't require rest or any maintenance.

    To honor the asshole, I created asshole Qi Gong. It's not ground breaking new technique. They are a collection of Qi Gong exercises to put asshole back to the crown where it belongs to.

    Now I'll give the first exercise: Asshole mantra, the normal one and reverse one.

    Sit in a comfortable position. You need to feel your asshole somehow. If you have no tactile sensation down there, put something small under your ass, so your asshole pressing against it, a baseball/tennis ball/golf ball, a small bean bag or a walnut.

    Cast your eyes down to "look" at your asshole. Of course you can't see it. But you should look at it anyway.

    Breath in with your nose slowly, "feel" your asshole. If you can't, use little muscle movement to press your asshole against the object under your ass.

    Breath out with your mouth to chant "a-ss-hole". In advanced practice, you should use your stomach to say "a", chest to say "s" and your throat to say "hole".

    Reverse Asshole. This is very useful if you're stuck in a boring meeting or commute in a subway.

    Breath in with your nose.

    Breath out with your asshole saying "a", "s" and "hole". Basically you train your asshole to speak its own name.

    Happy practicing, when you can feel your asshole with your crown point, you've reached asshole level 13.

  12. Also it is interesting that there exists a neck lock ("jalandhara bandha") which consists of flexion of the neck downward so that the chin approaches the chest. But usually in porn when girls are doing the eye and tongue thing their necks are engaged in extension upward, which is the opposite of the neck lock. Is there any significance to this?

     

    When one put chin close to chest, it's easier to flow the Qi the one back of neck and upper back area. In general Qi goes up ward.

     

    The extension helps the Qi flower in the front of neck/chest area. The Qi flow downward.

     

    Of course you can train your body do different direction of Qi. I just find this way easier.

Luckily for me, a full happy life doesn't involve buying endless shit, eating anything my cravings ask of me...Basically, avoiding a materialistic vain lifestyle of stuff and putting junk into my body doesn't strike me as "not living life to the fullest". I am so much more happy when I detach from all that and find the real joys and suffering in life.

  15. I guess in our own mind I have this perfect image of a perfect healer. Who doesn't fit into our confined "script" is considered rude, greedy and "unenlightened".

     

    The OP has been posting for months about his problem without following any of the suggestions given by the good folks here. Maybe Sifu Jenny Lamb saw through all of this illusion and gave him a correction already?

     

    I'm not a Jenny Lamb's level, I'd give her some slack before casting any stones.


  16. I started reading B.K. Frantzis' "Opening the Energy Gates of Your Body" a few years ago. I didn't get much benefit from his book then because my energy body was totally blocked. His passive water method couldn't get me started at all. I was too insensitive to notice Qi.

     

    Two years ago, I started doing Kundalini yoga, It was the first time my concept of Qi came into reality after two weeks.

     

    After that I went back to practice some stuff from "Opening the Energy Gates of Your Body", I got some real result.

     

    Everyone has different physical, energy body and mind. There isn't a "best" path.

    In my practice I want to begin to travel out of the body. To astral travel. Have you any experience with this?

     

    Before I taking up meditation, I did some lucid dreaming stuff. I had a OBE via lucid dream onnce.

     

    It was fun until a monster showed up. :-(

     

    Right now, I fucus on opening my meridian channels and erase any pain spot on my body. I think we're living in a "simulated" reality already. My goal is to "astral travel" in this "real" world.

     

    The astral travel is fun too from what I've heard. But I haven't found any reliable way yet. If you figure it out, let me know.

    Yep.

     

    I think it's a feed back system. The out put of one individual feeds into the surroundings as input. The output of the surroundings feeds into that individual. The unfilled desire is the fuel.

     

    If a guy feels sexually aroused, he then finds a mate to filled that desire, it's not a fule anymore to push the karma machine forward. If the same guy feels guilty about sex and try to control his desire by will power. It creates more chaotic karma patterns to deal with.


  20. Just a side note....the intense focus you talk about I think I have used...it was in a bar once. I was so still, that all my thoughts and emotions began to become expressed through everyone else in the bar. My thoughts became their words, my pains became their sighs...my joy became their laughter. I was on a real internal emotion roller coaster that night! haha

     

    I've had a few experience like that.

     

    It's strange. Pondering my experiences for a while now. I now question if the laughter from my surroundings generate my joy, or my joy produced the laughter.

     

    My theory is that my emotional body was so in tune with the surroundings, it automatically produce "correct" emotion automatically without my mind register. In my deluded mind that I think I play the game of "God", I believe that my emotion controls the surroundings. In actuality, I just observed the "cause" and "effect" at the same time as the budhists say.

     

    Since "time" is also a construct of "mind". My mind might have missplaced "cause" and "effect" intentionally according to my true "intent".

     

    The only way I know how to train "intent" is virtue.
