  1. Perhaps I was unfairly making fun. Just the way I am. I do not believe in such things and the only "proof" of such things is what people have said they saw. No concrete proof whatever.

But it is truely sad to suggest that the Canadian government is cooperating and interacting with aliens.

But then, people will believe what they wish to believe. I will likely opt out of this thread now.

A very wise man once said "tell me something to make yourself feel better. I'd believe you."

  2. same with the mco, there is leading and intent, not a focus on where you think the qi will exactly manifest. like the first quote in my sig - focus on the process and then the outcome manifests - its a quantum mechanical world, so in trying to manifest something we are really just arranging coherent waveform potentials such that the probability of certain events rises - this is called simply setting the conditions for something. we cant guarantee much of anything to manifest, all we can really do is arrange the waveform potentials that we have some measure of control over so that what we want has a good chance of manifestation.

it is no different with feeling out the dantian, feeling out the MCO path, feeling the dantien vibrate, etc, etc.

    It echoes my experiences.

Keep doing the fake, the real will follow.

Though we don't know for sure when the real will show up, we must have faith it'll show up soon or later. The conviction actually builds the MCO as well.

  3. The points I believe you are talking about are not fixed, ie they have been debated and the points have changed over time. Some put much more stock in them and their alleged relationship with the bamai. But if you wanna play here is one version;

We can train our body either respond to something or not respond to something. Every response is conditioned anyway.

I'd believe in anything that make my life easier and happier. Then I train my body/mind/spirit to behave that way.

  4. I think each of us should pay a fee for using this forum. This will keep out the monks and other freeloaders.

Good idea. I just tried to donate money to this forum. It only take bitcoins. I don't konw about bitcoins. I was ripped off by Paypal. I don't use web money anymore.

  5. Does anyone know how the extra acupoints tie in with the meridians?

    (EX) Extra Acupuncture Points

    Extra Points

74 extra foot acupoints were discovered and put into therapeutic use

I read somewhere that 8 extra acupoints was trigger points for 4 meridians link (ren, du, yin bridge and young bridge). The book also said massaging these points would help Qi runing within the meridians link.

At that time, I didn't have the ability to test the claims. Now I can't locate the book. :(

  6. Drew, you can stop with your current line. Let's start again in a more constructive fashion. Why not compile a list of techniques that correspond to the right set of method-requirement for each stage of the practice?

we can even start with settling the heart-mind :D

Good idea. Too bad, I can't contribute much because I'm in the free style group.

I do appreciate you guys build the steps and landmarks, so I know where I am in the process.

  7. I'm at a loss to see how your response was connected what I wrote hydrogen.. you'll have to excuse my non-participation in the argument.

If I misunderstood what you wrote, I'm sorry. It's not the first time I made blunder.

To be honest, I question the validity of weed usage. That's one of the reason that I quit for half year if you read the entire thread.

I'm posting mainly for my benefit. I want to erase my own doubt.

  8. I'm scared to death of having this "K" thing progress any further, because I've heard from a few good sources that a full awakeing is incompatible with modern society.

Not being able to fit into the environment of your present isn't "awakening". It's called "crazy".

You don't need motivation or goal to do something nor you need a reason to smile. Just do something, man.

    1. smoke slowly
    2. Breathe in fully
    3. Breath out fully and hold until gasp reflex
    4. Inhale fully and hold for 10-15 seconds
    5. Take 5 minutes to relax and scan your body

I just noticed that I actually used a method similar to Wim Hof Method. This method anble me use less weed.

I don't do well with pains. The weed ease the unformatable feeling from gasp reflex.

  9. I think "under the influence" is a pretty apt term, since "plant friends" like cannabis are very influential. When they are present, you can not not be influenced by them. Being aware of how they influence you, though, might have it's benefits. But like you said, the highs are paid for by the lows, so one needs to know what they can afford to gamble and lose, or they'll be broke and stuck in the desert with no idea how to get back home!

I have plenty of faith in God. If that's God will, so be it.

Life is a gamble. We all know that casino always win. Do they have 100% odds on their favor? Of course not. If they win every single hand, nobody would be inside any casinos. The odds are from 52% to 60% depending on the games.

I'm a winner since I'm still breathing so far. :) My odds is surely over 50%. It also means that I made tons of mistakes as well. How can I be in the moment if I let these mistakes bother me? Besides, I have no ideas which was a mistake or wich was a winning move.

I resent the statement of sort like "you can't get enlighted/find truth/be able do this and that if you smoke weed". Maybe I don't care about being enlighted/find the truth/be able do this and that. That's what you want and desire, it's fine.

You walk your path, I walk mine. If our path come across, I'd say hello and nice to see you.

I hope you don't shout back "I hope you die in a desert".

  10.

What's the lineage? They are the originators.

Obviously another person that doesn't understand lineage. A lineage is a LIVING transmission, a living flame or spark of true mastery, knowledge and skill. It's not a book of movements, postures, or techniques, it's a living embodiment of enlightenment or mastery. If you yourself become enlightened, or develop insane skill then you too could be the next Lao Tzu, Cheng sen Fang, or Buddha and the originator of an authentic lineage, until then.......

I don't want to be the next Lao Tzu, Chen Sen Fang or Buddha. I just want to be me.

    Isn't me good enough?

Yes, me is good. I say so. And I'm happy. :)

  11. Can you be aware of the present moment? the arising, experiencing, passing, and non-existence, of the inner origin of thoughts when under the influence?

Why don't you try it and report back since you're so interested?

  12. What's the lineage of Lao Tsu?

    What's the lineage of Buddha?

What's the lineage of Zhang San Feng (supposely the inventor of Tai Chi Chun)?

I'd rather to be the first authentic "I" than the second best of anybody.

    Back to topic.

I applaud Tai Cheng for his effort and guts to promote what he believes in with his own resources. I hope he'll do well.

  13. Thanks, Cat, for the information on Dieter Broers and the Solar Revolution. The clip didn't play when I tried (copywrite problems?) but I did get on his website. If All Is One and reversion is the action of the Tao, then perhaps the sun is the very thing we 'revert' to, as part of the One.

We're much bigger than sun. We're the universe and more.

  14. We know what we are talking about here, drugs like weed and other hallucinogens that are designed to alter our minds and making our minds to see things.

So what things did you see when you're on drugs? thanks.

  15. That's the English translation. I haven't read anything relating to the practice dealing with drug use.

Well, the Chinese words are more revealing "make the golden pill" or "immortal drug".

  16. And with spiritual cultivation, you aren't talking about efforts here but just letting your mind and body be, "naturally." If your bodily system is all pumped with drugs and other "chemicals," it is almost impossible to allow your body just be, in a state of emptiness.

Speaking of chemicals, do you know why Taoist yoga is also called internal Alchemy?

    2. In wuji posture, if I pull my head back a little while looking slightly down, so that my sinuses move into the field of the taiji pole (I’ve been a student of Jerry Alan Johnson’s system, and he talks of the taiji pole… not sure if it’s in other systems), and if I focus on stretching Du-16, it will create a circle of energy that runs from Du-20 (the vertex of the head) through the sinuses, back to Du-16 (where neck meets occiput) and back up to Du-20, circling around and around, filling the upper dantien with energy.

I was attempting to mimic this movement, When you do this, does this also open the occiuput?

There is a "pump" at Jade pillow (Du-16). I think she activated it.

Master Mantak Chia recommended Crane Neck to open the cranial pump.

I just tried it. It's more like --->Jade pillow (du-16) -- ->crown (Du-20) ---> third eye circle. I think it's a good circulation of qi. I don't know if the sinuses have anything to do with it except for alignment purpose.

Again, I have no teacher. Don't trust my word.

  18. I'm not a Qi Gong expert. I don't have any teacher. So take my word with caution.

From my personal experience, one can run qi from any two active points. The qi goes back and forth between the points. If done correctly, the qi will become stronger and faster. The path connecting the two points is alos effected by the Qi movement.

If one has three active Qi points, one can move the qi in a circle along the three points. If one run the Qi fast enough, when the Qi head catches on the tail, it'd run automatically by itself. Of course, one can have more active Qi point along the circle.

There are so many Qi points in the body, the combination is limitless. Some path are easier than others.

So long you feel right, then it's OK to experiment.

Good progress. You seem to have good control of your Qi.

  19. This story happened before I started meditation.

When I started smoking weed, I was in denial. In order to make myself feel better, I didn't get a proper smoking equipment for years. I made my own bong with soft drink bottles, tubes and hardwares from home depot. It was kind of silly since I hid them anyway. Nobody else could see them.

Being an engineer, I constantly improved the design. The lastest version was a double chamber double filter design.

Finally I broke down and said "who am I kidding?". I ordered a big killer glass bong with six percolator and ice catcher online for well over $100. The hit was soomth and strong with any sucking effort.

However, I needed twice amount of weed to get the same high than my home made bong.

Why? It took me a while to figure out that the way I inhaled the smoke with my home made bong increase the "high". Effectively I was doing a type of Qi Gong breathing. I was also very tentative with inhaling flow since the burn wasn't even. I had to adjust my inhaling according to the buring rate. My crappy home made bong forced me into the "zone".

That's how I started my meditation training.

The drug and self deceiving started my journey to Tao. It's my story and I stick to it.
