  1. There is a rainbow ring around the moon tonight

The same way afterimage can exlain explain the effect of candle gazing. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afterimage Anyway, it's safe to ask what others see around you. Having scentific explaination about everything is good tool too. RV Was what you saw like this in the picture (opposite part of the sky from the moon) or the rainbow was actually "around" the moon? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moonbow
  2. The law of three is easy to see and understand. The pattern of three is everywhere. The law of seven is tricky to spot and explain. Can someone elaborate more about the law of seven? Thanks.
  3. The Sage goes to a motel....

I fear any man who has no fear. No fear of lossing your loved ones? No fear of hurting innocent babies? No fear of killing your mom because God telling you so? A man without fear is either a robot or a pure evil.
  4. There is a rainbow ring around the moon tonight

You think your camera can capture the rainbow? Are you sure? Congratulations! You have more channels opened up. I sometimes see stuff that others around me can't see, I learn how to be quiet about it. A trip to hospital in a cop's car isn't my idea of fun. Next time if you see the rainbown around the moon, ask someone around you with subtlety like "What a beautiful night! The moon looks weird to me."
  5. Does anyone on here read Eckhart Tolle?

Interesting. I'm turned off by his voice too. Though he gives me hope too. I still can be a popular speaker dispite of my crappy accent.
  6. The Sage goes to a motel....

Is the sage a human? Is Human allowed to have irrational thinking like love or faith? If so, why not fear?
  7. The Greatest Description of Enlightnment

He didn't seem to mention the depression and madness period. I just have a problem with the title of the thread. If I see a video with title "the greatet soccer performence by Joe", I'd expect to see some soccer footages. If the entire video is about Joe's interview with a reporter, I'd expect different title like "Q & A by the great soccer star Joe". I did learn a lot from his video. Thanks for posting.
  8. The Greatest Description of Enlightnment

The titile of the thread is "The Greatest Description of Enlightnment". After watching the video, I didn't find the "description of enlightment". The title of the tread should be "Q and A video by Gopi Krishna".
  9. The Greatest Description of Enlightnment

I'm disappointed. An hour of talk, I still had no idea what he saw or experienced. Instead he kept telling us how I should live my life based on his understanding.
  10. Have you heard of asexual? It's totally OK to not have sexual feelings. Who knows what a teenager male is supposed to think of opposite sex. Maybe you like boys. You never know. Also, you should have x-ray or ultrasonic on your internal sexual organ. I heard some guys have female sexual parts inside them that make them confused about their sexual feeling. Good luck. Hope you feel better soon.
  11. Magnetism or Electricity

Have you heard of pacemaker? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrical_conduction_system_of_the_heart
  12. the observer and the observed

Did you expereince these "stage" yourself? Thanks.
  13. Magnetism or Electricity

Magnetic resonance imagingHave you heard of MRI (Magnetic resonance imaging)?
  14. Weird feeling when cross feet

An interesting method to try. It's a twist on a classic taoist morning ritual, I think. The toaist morning routine I know is as following. (do these very lazy and relax just like a morning person who's not fully awaken). --Strech your back and have a big breath (yawn like). --Wash your face (with both hands without water, circle around face, fingers lightly brushing face) --Brush your teeth (with tonge wihout water, swirl your tonge around inside your mouth) --Comb your hair and mustache (with hands only) --Smell the flower (nose sniff air a few times) --Wake up the neighbourhood (shout out a big and long Om or any sounds you fancy). It's a good method to boost energy anytime when one feels tired. It takes about five minutes. I'll experiment do it cross hands to "de-switching".
  15. My ultimate goal is to bring Qi Gong into my daily life so I don't need a dedicated time slot for it. Also I want the Qi Gong practice enhance that particular daily activity, not a burden to add on. So far, I have good success in running and movie watching. To incorporate Qi Gong into my movie theatre trip make my experience much better. I love going out to the theatre again. First, I changed my mind set. I used to think I was "smart". I was proud of myself being able to figure out the ending five minutes into the movie. I tend to point out the holes in the plot and the poor performance of the actors. After a while, most movies become cliche and boring to me. Then I realized I was a fool. Why did I sabotage my own enjoyment? Now, I just watch the movie, enjoy the visual and by in sync with what going on the screen. A plot twist would have me say "wow, I didn't see that coming!". While in the old days, I'd come up at least ten books and movies with similar scheme. Of course, the physical part play a big roles as well. To relax into the environment is easy in the movie theatres. If I sit far back. I'd gaze into the screen and play with the focus of my two eyes during commercials and trailers. I separate the left eye and right eye vision, such I see two screens side by side. Then I play around to move the two screens together to over lap then move them apart. By the time, the movie starts, I'm in the "zone". If I sit very up front, I'd let the screem overwhelm me and totally immerse into the scene. I posted my running method in another thread. I hope you can share your experiences and tricks in daily life. For example, chewing slowly with closed eyes to savor the food, or imanging the water cleasing your body in the shower.
  16. Weird feeling when cross feet

How do you feel if you do similar things with your hands? Do you have the similar feeling? In general, one should feel good when two of the same body parts connect: two hands, two feet, two kneels, two elbows, two eyes, two nostrils, two cheeks, two breasts, two balls... I think you get the idea.
  17. Xiao Yao Pai

Sounds like premature kundalini activites. It seems that some Taoist sect know how to force activate K.
  18. New Member and Question

Have a drink. Relax. You'll be fine. Just don't drink and drive and don't go overboard.
  19. Time for my regular dental cleaning, I was petrified. While my dentist systemicaly torturing my mouth, I gazed at the overhead lamp trying to relax my body. It woked. The pain wasn't as intense as before. I thanked my dentist in my heart for helping keep my teeth healthy. Relaxed more, I scaned my body. I noticed that my shoulder was tense, I changed my arm position to let the tension go. I continued going downward. Just when I noticing a blockage on my feet, my mouth and my right foot got "connected". All the stimulates done to mouth somehow transfered to my foot. My right foot moved violently by itself. When everything calmed down, the blockage on my right foot that I'd been tring to get rid for two years gone !!!!!!
  20. Long-term kunlun practitioners?

Thanks for the comments. It's nice to have someone else confirm my hacking approach to Kunlun In my understanding, it's not the speed but the acceleration, the change rate in speed, that generate more Qi. The time from 0 to 60 mph is more relevant than the top speed. Of corse, a higher top speed can help you in the acceleration phase longer. I never take the drinking rule seriously. I drink when I thirsty. I don't eat before the meditation. During and after I eat whenever I feel hungry, not heavy thing, just fruit, nuts, ice cream bar, donuts, pizza.
  21. Fear

What do you mean by "retention"? "semen retention" Fear in emotional body is similar to pain in physical body. It's a warning sign says that you might come across a new territory. Sometimes one moves forward with caution. Sometimes, one backs off if one's not ready. I believe in "no pain, no gain". But I'm not a fan of these extreme "boot camp".
  22. Love is all you need. In the beginning, there was only love. Not actually, there was hate as well. Without hate, love didn't know how to stand on its own. Being a lover, hate was a dirty word. No lovers wanted to admit hate was part of love. Other words was invented to do what hate did, like justice. So a lover could kill others without being hateful. So there were love and justice. But the lover wanted to tell others there were only love. But the justice clear stated there were love and justice(hate). Others got confused, they started looking for truth. So you got love, justice and truth instead of love, hate and lie. A new religion was born. God, heaven and faith is just another variation.
  23. Long-term kunlun practitioners?

I've been incorportating modified Kunlun into my practice. Due to my shoulder blockage, I haven't been using the hand mudra taught in Kunlun. I just use Tai Ji hand. I don't know if I can say I practice Kunlun. In sitting meditaion, I start with Kunlun for about 15 minutes. I don't know how to go deep with it.
  24. Cliteracy

The Confucius says "eat it with your eyes, caress it with your words."
  25. Fear

Is this the sign of "mystic fire"? 30 times balloon blowing Breathe in fully Breath out fully and hold until gasp reflex Inhale fully and hold for 10-15 seconds. Repeat until finished Take 5 minutes to relax and scan your body The above procedure is Wim Hof similified tummo method. You might be able to do some experiment to determine if they're similar. Interestingly gasping respiration in the dying patient is the last respiratory pattern prior to terminal apnoea. I'm convinced that it's similar too. IMHO, Qi Gong is just a "safe" method to experience "death" while "alive".
