Well what do expect? When things have gone to one extreme the other extreme has to come out to negate it. The worlds history is full of such happenings. Wait a while and things will come to a balance.

Trump admin. has decided to use cyanide bombs to kill wildlife again!
  3. No more right-wing bullshit.

I am sorry this is nonsense. To be a Dao follower one actually doesn't even need to know that Dao exists one would simply be following a natural path of wisdom and equally there doesn't need to be Temples or people needing to wear robes. That's the whole point of Dao. I've been a Holyman for 35 years, but I never wear robes, only on three very special occasions have I.
  4. Are there any other leftists here? 👀

Oh yes, its very long winded and is almost as bad as 'war and peace'. I was using this as an example of how politicians use labels wrongly and to wrongly influence and scare the voting public. Rewilding is great, trouble is with my country, the government wants to and is building millions of houses to prop up the economy making more money for the super rich, trouble is no ordinary people can afford them and soon there will be nowhere to put them anyway.

Most politicians have never read Marx and so right wing parties band it about calling their opposition "Marxist", just to try and slur them in front of the public. The public have very little experience of any proper socialist regime that has not been corrupted. So they are scared. Socialist parties like the Labour party lose many votes because of this, but in 1945 when the Labour party came into power such enormous strides were taken to level out social injustice and bring healthcare, education and welfare to all and to make sure all essential services were under the control of the government. Now with a succession of Tory governments these have been broken down sold to private enterprise where those that now run essential services like water etc. make huge profits and pay out share holders. Of course the service is now far more expensive for the ordinary person. Many parts of the NHS have been sold off to private enterprise who charge far more for supplying their service, which exhausts the budget. The main Tory policy is to get rid of the NHS and make people pay for their healthcare directly and many of the extreme right wing want to open the work houses for the poor, I am in little doubt about this. What I think is let people make lots of money, but lets tax them properly and that money go back into society to help others who were not so fortunate. This seems to me spiritually and morally fair and it produces an economic growth that is not limited to the super rich.

Capitalism is like this example: Jeff Fairburn the former CEO of Persimmon Homes gave himself a £75 million bonus, but it was discovered that many of his staff were so poorly paid that they had to rely on Universal Credit to survive. Example 2; 600 of the richest aristocrats in the UK doubled their wealth in ten years while 4 million people needed to use food banks. An example of right wing policies: The Uk government cut welfare benefits by £42 billion, gave the Monarch more millions of tax payers money, while homelessness increased at a staggering rate.
  7. No more right-wing bullshit.

    Nothing to do with authority...understanding.
  8. No more right-wing bullshit.

If you don't have the proper understanding of the text you are simply spreading your own take which becomes lies. Rant all you like, a true understanding can only come from someone who has been exclusively trained. The DDJ is not philosophy, it is mostly a book of deep self cultivation on many levels that will see those who are wise enough to realize immortality. I find myself hitting my head against a wall!!
  9. No more right-wing bullshit.

And where were those principles found?...............The Bible, so are you telling me that when the preacher preached to folk he didn't quote from the Bible? People were also forced to believe. There is a whole terrible history about missionaries and what they did to people to get them to believe in the Bible, lets not go down that route.
  10. No more right-wing bullshit.

The trouble is that in most temples they don't teach the DDJ or study Chuang Tzu etc, they simply follow alot of rituals or become shamans as myself and learn Daoist practices from Immortals. The problem remains with western people who take on the teachings and practices of a belief system like Daoism is there are really not many proper Daoists to learn from. So this is where a book full of incredible teachings, becomes a dry old book of philosophy, because its totally misunderstood. This is what needs to change. To identify as a Daoist, people need to be brought up in a Daoist family, where the teachings of Dao are the binding principles or as you say follow a Daoist master for many years. The western world has been swamped by Christianity and the Bible and it is very aggressive in its conversion of others, either peacefully or violently. Daoist are not like this and do not force others to believe in what they believe. I have helped many people who are of other faiths, but I think that if people want to learn something right and pure of corruption, then a site must solely deal with the belief system that it is intended for. Otherwise we get a whole chasm of people who think they are experts in Buddhism, (Buddha of course never wrote a single word) Daoism, Christianity etc. etc. and so we see inane comments by many on this site purely from mish-mash and ego. My last few pennies
  11. No more right-wing bullshit.

Yes the great melting pot of misunderstanding. Shame you haven't quoted a good or accurate translation. Then it will go back to the same old mish-mash, which degenerates due to human nature, to the the same level it has become (it really can't get much lower). For Daoist practitioners as myself the forum, as stated, has come to an end. It is not Daoist but simply the blind leading the blind, with the usual suspects, unqualified and untrained putting their invented taint on teachings, misleading themselves and others. So like in Animal Farm when the animals looked at the pigs and the humans they could see no difference. So when we look from one belief to another it has been smudge so badly we can't distinguish between one or the other, for they had been so corrupted. I might add that other religious forums will not allow others who believe in something else to post on their forums; I know I have tried. You might as well change the name of the forum to represent what it stands for; simply a spiritual forum that includes Daoism in one section. The Dao Bums is a misleading title. Its your site, you must do with it as you will, but you won't see me smudging my traditional teachings with books written by men for men based on a load of lies! Women have been treated so badly by our two major religions I am surprised that you can allow them to be discussed on here, seeing that you uphold all other states of the human condition?!
  12. No more right-wing bullshit.

Personally, if I were Sean I would ban all Christians, Muslims and any other religion and keep the forum to Daoism. In that way people who come here who are genuinely interested in Daoism, will find proper information and help along their path. In that way we would have a proper forum and one might attract more genuine cultivators. It astounded me that a former mod here, after going through their posts on this site and another (which is open to the public) did not post one comment on any Daoist writings. There is something wrong when a member/mod doesn't even join in with the fundamental teachings of Daoism.
  13. No more right-wing bullshit.

My point, which is quite simple, if you have a proper section on a particular subject like martial art, then no one can miss it!!! I never saw any posts about other martial arts, they must have been well hidden. I kept well out of the Christian threads and the political threads, but they made impacts on other threads that I may have been on. For example the thread on Climate change was taken over by the right wing Trumpsters and virtually no one answered my original post!
  14. No more right-wing bullshit.

This post is not to say that I'm coming back to post again, but I have been following this thread. The main reason why I left posting is because the forum is littered with Christians, trying to be interested in Dao and influences others. They are an insidious lot and will do anything to get people to follow their path. They really have never read the writings of any Dao Sages and if they do they put it in Christian terms. There is also the right wingers who criticize others and deny many social, environmental and political crimes that are going on around the world in the name of pursuing great wealth. Some whom were mods and used their position to squash others who they didn't like. I said along time ago that I was unhappy being here and wanted to leave but was encouraged by others to stick it out, until I really had enough. Lets put the record straight; if you are not a Socialist you cannot be a Daoist. Daoists are primarily concerned with the other life and not themselves. If you read the DDJ. Li Erh puts it quite plainly; you cannot improve yourself if you are only thinking of yourself. I also think that the forum should have categories for Dao practices (magic, ritual, self cultivation etc.Immortals) and styles of martial arts, qi gong and TCM. There are probably 2000 different styles of Chinese martial art. I never see anything posted other than Tai Ji Quan. I said the forum needs to change and I am really glad Sean has made a bold move to do so. Good luck with it all.
  15. Tin Yat Dao Sect

Hi Folks I looked up our old friend Mak Jo Si who basically makes hundreds of videos about some aspect of Daoism, who tries as hard as he can to get his students and friends to validate his teachings. He has reinvented himself three times and is now calling his system Tin Yat Dragon. For any new people who has not come across him before, looking for Dao practices, he is a fraudster and really is only interested in your money and pumping up his own very inflated ego. It seems to me he reads alot of books and looks at videos and makes up his own versions of things that are part of a genuine Dao practice. He is not doing genuine Dao sects any favours with his obsession with guns and knives. Buyer be very aware is all I have to say.
  16. new verses of the DDJ

I am going to beg Li Erh Xian Shi (Lao Tzu) to teach me the rest of the verses which he originally wrote while staying at the border keepers house. These texts or verses are basically called the 'sacred or spiritual verses of the Way and its heart'. The term DDJ was given to these verses at some time after Li Erh wrote them. I will start off with verse 82 and I hope he will honour me with his teachings. This will be a first and a great gift to humankind. If he doesn't want to teach me, well there's nothing I can do, but look to see on this post whether I have been successful.
  17. Tin Yat Dao Sect

OK This is my last post on TDB's anyone who does wish to contact me can get me at [email protected] Siddhi have nothing to do with Daoism. It is an Indian word which is used to describe certain psychic phenomenon and trickery used in tantric practices. What is religion used for and why do people use illusionists tricks too fool others? Simple answers one can see all over the world to have power/position/control of others and people are very gullible. Video's of Peter Popoff are very up front rogues, but some are more insidious and subtle manipulation. It maybe as simple as making money. Organised religions use it whether it was done by some sage in the past or adepts do it now to get more people to believe in what they believe. Here on TDB's we have thousands of posts about a so called master who can set fire to things; look at the interest everyone had in him. He was very successful in creating a hum about his persona. Such a trick is easily replicated by ordinary people. I am a wu, a shaman or holyman, we don't do tricks, we are not concerned with the fooling of others, nor are we concerned with power over others or taking money. Our job as described is to communicate with the spirit world. That world is not there for anyone to use and abuse that power. Thats why it is not accessible very easily or to anyone. What we are taught and the power we are given is not easily accessible to anyone either. Spiritual power as described in Chuang Tzu and Lao Tzu's writings is what we use to communicate and heal. Lao Tzu was a great cultivator, but he was an incredibly wise man who sought no fame, or fortune from his deep knowledge. He made no cheap display of his power. He believed that people should not be governed by religion but should live simply according to the Dao. For the obvious reason I have just given. How many people do you know that has been part of a cult and been abused by people in it? I have known many and its usually about power, sex and money. One can go to SE Asia and see so called folk religions peddling spirit trickery for money. It may come under the banner of Daoism but most of it is a mish mash of all religions and practices borrowed from each other. That's why many people who have very little knowledge on here talk about siddhi's instead of Fa practices.

All over the world spirits of various levels have taught shamans for thousands of years. They have never hurt me, but when a very strong energy touches you it can be painful. It teaches you to know their potential and reinforces ones great respect for the power they posses and for who they are.
  19. Tin Yat Dao Sect

This is very silly for someone who claims they are tapping into the deity power. An Immortal can come and move at minus a millions volts. They can come at 12v , they can come at a trillion trillion volts. They can change their form from energy to matter and so be any living thing. When they come to a human to teach they come at an appropriate voltage enough to throw you around and move you at will without burning your insides up. They will sometimes send an emissary, and not the real Immortal. My experience has taught me that when they come in person you know, the energy is very strong and sometimes has burnt me and is very painful, especially when they enter ones entire body. Once they have left and whatever the reason for their coming is over, one feels very exhausted by the sheer strength of how they move you and their energy, even though they have entered inside you at virtually no volts. An Immortal can pass through the sun as if it was not there. They can create universes and life forms from their own energy. but they are completely governed by non action and so they never interfere. The earth may be drawn so close to the sun that everything in the world is burnt to a crisp; they won't interfere. They are beyond making value judgments.

I thought you might say that. The thing that came into my head for no reason was opendao. Perhaps it is just that you have a similar way of writing to him who was on here some years ago. Let me tell you something which not many people really understand. A human's power even at the highest level of cultivation is like one cell compared to an Immortals which is equivalent to all the oceans and beyond in the world. Ok so if one wants to tap into that source, one has to make oneself a very humble, straightforward and honest person, one has to beg for them in name to come physically not mentally. They will never come to you mentally. You see, many on here don't realize this, the door is closed, shut tight, you cannot get in, if you think you've got in its all in your mind fooling you. You may kneel before the heavens for years begging them to come and 'catch' a spirit master. But if they don't want to, then they will not come, nor by any means can you tap into any of them. The oldest Immortals live amongst the stars, (outside the heavenly collective) even as a blessed Holyman who has access to the Immortals, I still cannot get many of them to come to me. They have moved on to another level of existence and certainly have no concern about a small planet light years away, let alone answer the call of a shaman.
  21. Tin Yat Dao Sect

I'm sure you've been on here before under another name?
  22. Tin Yat Dao Sect

Right, so no teacher of any sort, sorry your concept of qi is flawed.
  23. Tin Yat Dao Sect

This is why I'm leaving, the BS on this site is getting worse and worse and worse I think you are very self opinionated behind your monkey mask and yet what have you offered to show us that you actually know anything other than subtle attacking other people, just cleverly keeping yourself from suspension? You appear to me to know very little other than your own over inflated ego tells you how wonderful you are and how not so wonderful others are in your self proclaimed opinion. Most people will say who their teacher is, so tell us we can examine your credentials.
  24. Tin Yat Dao Sect

I'm finished here really, Its not a Dao forum. Many proper Daoist pop their heads in and disappear quite quickly, they don't have the stamina that the few here have to keep going. I go in the DDJ section and stimulate some thought I hope, but really the amount of people that post on this section is very little. There is no sections put specifically for Dao practices for people to post in like martial art, qigong, Daoist rituals and rites, Dao medicine and healing, Daoist magic, meduimship etc. Immortals their history, Daoist novels and characters. All very important aspects of being a Daoist and not just the western view of a dry old philosophy that is used by many here to enhance their own belief systems. Perhaps the person who owns this site could take notice. Really the site needs to rename itself and call itself just another spiritual forum, where Dao is given a small corner to be discussed. Probably a more honest realization. Dao practices are unique amongst belief systems, but they are being infiltrated by other systems and religions. I can't believe the amount of video's about Daoism on Youtube that are made by Christians, explaining how a single God and Jesus come into Daoism. Its all an insidious way to convert people and total lies.
