  1. Ahoy hoy.

I am looking for a spiritual book but i only slightly know the title.

I think it is eastern philosophy... It has a single author.

The title is long and something like:

"The traveling on the path along the road through the mountain"

Or something like that. I beleive it is quite a popular book and I also beleive it is old.

The premise might be about a holy man who attains enlight by while he's traveling over this mountain.

Any help appreciated. Or even any other books recomended.

    I recently got:

    the tao te ching

    the bhagavad gita

They seem excellent and i'm looking for more like this?

  2. Adultery is good. It promotes the way.

Do not fear adultery. Adultery should fear you.

When in doubting abstain. When abstaining abandon petty self.

    Ommmmmm sha laa.

Do not war. Do not 'not war'.

If one can redirect sexual energy to escape the portal.

Is life about enjoyment if all joy leads to torment?

Are you weak. Yes. Do you agree. Yes.

The talisman is spinning now, do not look away but pay it no mind.

    Do not look away...

    Ommmm.

  3. The path has dips and mountains. Ommmmmm.

You've returned to your old ways because you missed them but now you see you cannot life by them anymore.

This might happen again. I do not know if you will eventually welcome your old ways and abandon spirituality.

I doubt it though. Either way this path is yours. Blessings of god-cat.

    Ommmmmmmmmmmmm.

  5. Excellent post.

And I have experiencing much the same thing currently.

I'm just curious as to whether this is a 'step' in spiritual development or a necessity.

Is it possible that the 'negative energies' we get through food are also a belief system of the ego?

It's like a way to get us to develop and once it serves its purpose and we outgrow it is it gone?

It was also seem that if this was to occur our mindstate would be so advanced that it wouldn't matter what we ate.

The support of this would be that this is apparently true for you and I but i'm sure there are others here as spiritually advanced who have no problem injesting pork energies. These negative assaults may turn out to be the bodies way of communicating with you. It's 'tricking' you into the correct your correct diet with the desire to escape these negative assaults. They body can communicate symbolically it seems... Even in dreams.

    Forgive my english.

    Ommmmmmm.

  6. Ahoy hoy.

This thread is for the discussion of our personal theories as well as established doctrines/philosophies pertaining to the imagination. This idea just welled up on me so I have only questions and no theories at the moment.

Nevertheless I offer them up for discussion:

    -what is imagination?

-is it a part of the ego?

-is it a separate thing from the ego entirely?

-is it truer then the ego?

-is it part of the true self?

    -how powerful is imagination?

-how do dreams relate to it?

-if you can imagine something does that mean it is possible?

-Or is imagination just an extension of the monkey mind? The ego's higher-brain? An illusion which builds and walls the self?

  7. Theres this other parable where a new ager wannabee yogi sits in Starbucks dressed in loose ethnic kind of clothing, and when asked how much she meditates, takes a sip of her latte and says that she doesnt need to, she only needs to be in the moment, and that anyway everything she does is a meditation.

    So....MASTERFUL.

  8. Definitively. The more you hold on to ideas and beliefs the harder will be to let go of them and your ego-mind; therefore, if we use the koan in its entire context:

    The monkey is reaching

For the moon in the water.

    Until death overtakes him

    He'll never give up.

If he'd let go the branch and

    Disappear in the deep pool,

    The whole world would shine

    With dazzling pureness.

    Hakuin

    ;)

    Ommmmmmm.

  9. How can 11.11.11. at 11:11 effect things? It seems arbitrary.

What does the fact our concocted 12 month calender have to do with anything?

I can understand maybe some celestial event but not our out of sync bogus calender.
