  1. THE ABOMINABLE CHARLES CHRISTOPHER

    http://www.abominable.cc/

    By Karl Kerschl, kay?

THE EPIC TALE FOLLOWS THE ABOMINABLE CHARLES CHRISTOPHER AS HE ADVENTURES IN A FOREST and stuff

It's a very good looking comic with lots of humor and nice imagery

Charles himself doesn't talk but the animals are there to crack all the jokes

    ALL THE JOKES

It also get's serious with a subplot about bears

    Very readable

    Fun fact: Baw

  2. I heard it was invented by a Baguazhang master, he stopped teaching it when his student started using that skill for theft

I heard that circle walking is a part of learning it but I'm not sure how that works

It's also found as one of the 72 skills of Shaolin, maybe it's the same thing but changed a little by the time it got there

It's done in parts, one is digging a hole and jumping out of it in one jump then later you make the hole deeper and try to jump out again

Another one is walking around a vat filled with water as if you're circle walking on it, you remove water a little by little as you progress, if you're too heavy you just make the whole thing fall over

It's kinda detailed so you should look for the book about the 72 skills

By the way, I heard that it takes at least 20 years to master or something

  3. Non existance exists? Not really...

What is non existant? Non existant...

No need to make things complicated. Unless you want to

You just made it more complicated yourself :P

How else can I talk about nothing without putting it into something

We exist so we must put existence close to us to understand it

Nonexistence doesn't exist is a double negative so it creates existence is what I want to show

You're still making a while bunch of threads about the same topic

  4. Because nonexistence exists and there was so much nothing that one day POOF, there was everything

It either came to be because there needs to be a balance between existence and nonexistence or nonexistent energy got so powerful and condensed that some of it became existence energy

OR MAYBE SOMEONE DECIDED THAT EXISTENCE EXISTS

Because there is nonexistence so there must be existence

Good thing we have existence and nonexistence instead of nonexistence and FISH!!!

But fish does exist... DOES IT?!?!?!?!

  5. Well, one good way to get into doing something is being around people who also do the same thing you want to do

You could talk to these Taoist people on these Taoist forums

You could also make your environment reflect what you like to do

People who like movies put movie posters on their walls, for example

So if you want to do horse stance everyday, put kung fu movie posters on the walls, talk about it a lot, bother tao bums with it, and in your journal write: OK, I said I will do this and so I've done it this many times today

    That helps me

  6. Nah man, I hear you gotta do something right after that

Otherwise you will continue doing the same thing over and over again

Like, you surrender once, you can surrender again

Or maybe you havta do something before that or something, I dunno, who started this rumor anyway?

  7. Lightness skill is one of the 72 Shaolin skills, flying is a sort of extension of it

My friend's friend practices it, and while I never met him, my friend says he can do it

I also got a taste of lightness skill from practicing my horse stance, heat made me feel so light that I supported myself only on my toes for half a second

Energy needed to actually fly must be insane

I also could touch stuff at distance when I was practicing projecting, stopped because I needed to study so I could actually use it

All that healing stuff is not so bad

  8. It's not the best, John showed some stuff to his friends then decided to let that be because the world stopped practicing hard enough because people started to think that sort of stuff was impossible

8 silk might give you even better results then mopai, it's even complete and more simple

There's even a story about a skill you can get from practicing it right, but there are many variations of 8 sections of the brocade now that it will be a pain looking for the one that gives you the silken body skill

Pyrokinesis has never been the goal in energy practices but sometimes it becomes a nice side effect

It's a lot easier to do when you have energy to spare for it, and not everyone goes for the crazy amounts of energy

Other systems are great but to reach desirable outcomes, they require a lot of energy

And know what, getting all that energy is kinda easy but a pain

I also can vouch that there are still priests from Shaolin who can still fly

  9. In chapter 35 of the Dao De Jing we find this passage:

"She who follows the way of the Tao will draw the world to her steps. She can go without fear of being injured, because she has found peace and tranquility in her heart. Where there is music and good food, people will stop to enjoy it. But words spoken of the Tao seem to them boring and stale. When looked at, there is nothing for them to see. When listened for, there is nothing for them to hear. Yet if they put it to use, it would never be exhausted."

    OOH I like this one

She who follows the way of the Tao will draw the world to her steps. She can go without fear of being injured, because she has found peace and tranquility in her heart.

That's just like music, which by itself is very wu wei

Good music is good and that why people listen to it and therefore it attracts people

A Taoist is wu wei and things come to the Taoist

Unlike music that produces sound which can become annoying or tiresome,

Tao cannot be perceived with sound or anything else

The one who cultivates Tao cannot run out of it

Which goes back to chapter one

Music is music and Taoist becomes one with Tao

Bad music won't attract any people and good music will

We have power to choose what kind of person we become

This is not anti-music or anything
