  2. Foreskin restoration

Just out of interest where do they get the skin from? I could go to the website I suppose, but it's much more interesting to ask you. LOL, LOL. Your eyeslids!! You may wind up a bit cock eyed! No, really though--it involves attatching a device to your 'little tao-bum' that stretches the foreskin out by applying tension-usually through elastic or something-over months of time. You have to keep a schedule of wearing the device practically 24/7, except for when your organ is 'in use'. Most places that sell them make devices that are concealable (so long as you are wearing pants ) so you can 'tug' during the day. Of course, if everone would stop MUTILATING babies genitals in the first place, we wouldn't need these contraptions! Foreskin restoration is awesome, just takes a lot of effort. You can always rig up a device out of stuff you can buy cheap-acewrap, suspender straps, SOFT medical tape, and an empty film canister or something similar. Peace-

  6. While I sleep, things awaken.

Hello all, I have experienced some REALLY weird things over the last few months-WHILE I SLEEP!! I'm going to share some of them here, in hopes that someone knows what's going on. Okay, in chronological order. Several months ago, I posted in a few threads where I was defending certain persons who are the stated leaders of certain (popular) 'energy' practices. Just a few weeks before I engaged in these posts, I had been prescribed a new medication to help me sleep-Ambien. When I first started taking Ambien, I had all sorts of trippy experiences as I drifted off to sleep each night. However, during the time that I was posting in these threads, I started having totally bizzare, and new 'experiences'. Very often, but not every nite, I would take the medicine and go to bed. I could tell when it 'kicked in', because I would have tactile and auditory hallucinations. I experienced them like this- *feeling as if a small animal (or presence) was moving up over the blankets on my bed. Very clearly felt. As clear as if a small kitten were moving (not really stepping) up your covers, over your legs. *sensations of these things settling to a particular place on my body and 'sucking' at me-it felt like I have an energy field that these things were sucking it and'or feeding in it. *sensation that a tiger sized/shaped presence moved up the bed and sprawled out on me, and was sort of breathing around the are of my face, like it was looking at me like a big friendly dog. (I kind of miss it!) *sensation that smaller creatures were moving around my pillow-I could even hear the scratching at times, and feel it VERY clearly. *sensation like I had spider webs on me, and a hand like presence was pulling them off. *a very few times, I felt hands coming up through my bed and touching at my back. all this would usually go on at once, and then I would drift off to sleep. Interestingly, I was never the least bit frightened, and used to look forward to it. I think the medication made me not care or be afraid. I actually quit coming to TTB for a while, maybe a couple months. I didn't realize it at the time, but the sensations stopped shortly after I stopped visiting TTB-which made me wonder if maybe I made someone mad, and they were somehow seeking revenge or something by some spiritual means. I have taken large doses of 'psychedelic' mushrooms years ago, and these hallucinations were at least as real if not more so then what the shrooms did. Lately, on nights when I did not take the Ambien, twice now, I have had strange things happen. Once, I was drifting off to sleep, and I was thinking about seated meditating with my hands out. I felt an electric sensation coarse through my arms, roughly through the center of my arms out my lao gong, and somewhat specifically through the Lung meridian. Just last nite, I did not take the Ambein, and I actually felt a presence of sorts move up the backs of my legs, and enter my Governer and Conception vessels-at which time it became an electric like sensation. Although I wasn't really awake, or asleep, I was conscious enough to somehow-I can't explain how-make the electrical sensation cycle up the back and down the front in a continuous loop-faster and faster-and the electric feeling was almost uncomfortable. As I sped it up, (man, I could really feel it) I moved it deeper into the front line of my body, and as it passed a certain depth in my face, I saw a sort of reflection of my face in front of my (closed) eyes. This startled me and caused me to sort of come out of it and I woke up. I know that also, when I am in this state of half asleep/half awake, if I think about kicking or punching, the limb I'm thinking of will jerk at a speed MUCH faster than what I could normally move at on my own. This makes me think that the bodies energies are able to move much more powerfully while in a sleep like state. Anyone care to comment? Or own up to sending disembodied 'things' at me out of anger? Take care-- everseeking

Thank you, thank you. Im aware of the hallucinations being a side effect, but this stuff goes beyond that. Also, I've recently had odd stuff happen even though I didn't take the meds before bed. Peace-
  8. Microcosmic Orbit

Hello all. I just read something about running the MCO. It describes going up the down the back (from nose, coming over/through the head) on inhale, and up the front on exhale. I thought you were supposed to always go the other direction. I dont want to like, fry my cortex in trying the meditation. Thoughts? N-

  10. A quote to ponder on

'We spend our lives running from or denying pain' -A great friend, and mentor 'When asking a leaver of home, I simply think you should not let your mind be detained by a temporary dwelling' Cant remember source, but it is in 'The Unfettered Mind', Cleary translation. And then there are the simple, yet profound (American) classics, such as- 'Birds of a feather flock together' 'Sometimes its best to let a sleeping dog lie' etc... -Peace-
  11. Absolutely awesome. Could you recommend some books for me to read this type of thing in? Thankful- ~N~
  12. Chinese Martial Arts and MMA/UFC

I attended a seminar once and the very first thing we did before learning any techniques was watch video of real fights, street and prison. They were the most violent things I'd ever seen. This one guy had his eyeball hanging out the socket... I should have been more clear, I meant removing/severing the eye from the body. That would be much more traumatic and shocking to the nervous system. An eye outside of the socket is not uncommon with broken bones in the 'eye socket'. It sounds like these people may have been more familiar with violence than the average person, had a previous history of fighting, etc. At least if they were in prison. Most people (outside of jail/prison) are non violent for the most part. A persons previous experience, as well as whether the fight began as a disagreement vs. attack, or fight for survival is part of what I meant by 'personal factors', among other things. and another guy had to have over a thousand stitches from knife wounds. If there was a knife involved, and it was caught on tape, it is pretty likely that at least one of the persons involved had experience in violent situations. Regardless, lots of stitches and survival means the wounds were non lethal-as in, large arteries weren't severed. The fabled 'death of a thousand cuts' was torturous because it took so long to kill you-because the cuts didn't sever major vessels. I don't mean to detract from how impressive it would be to get lots of cuts and still go on fighting. I just mean that if they got cut REALLY bad, they would drop like a fish, whether they wanted to or not. Both fights had to be broken up and everyone lived to tell about it. The human body is amazing and can do far more than you might think when in a life or death situation. Yes, I agree, having seen it first hand on numerous occasions. All I said was that they are no guarantee and I stand by my statement...BLESSINGS! I agree here too, with the caveat that some things are guaranteed to stop any human-like a sufficiently broken neck. But when in a fight, mistakes happen. Its not easy to 'one strike' someone, and being highly conditioned and comfortable with fighting a resistant opponent is a great way to up you chances of success, should you have to fight. Peace-

That Guy said- go ahead a break their finger with some little hold that works on average people, but these guys will take the finger break, and then break your whole arm in return. Not likely. Once you get a broken finger, the affected hand will lose most of its gripping ability. If the fracture is an avulsion fracture, or compound, the hand pretty much wont do much. Unless we are talking about an insect. They can lose limbs and keep fighting. enjoy your martial arts, but you have to realize its limitations. True. MMA training is specific to 1 on 1 scenarios, and how well any fighter does against multiple opponents will be largely determined by personal factors, previous training for it, physical fitness-especially endurance, and the skill, ability, number and intention of the adversaries. Experience is a big part too. If fitness, personal ability, and personal factors were equal, I tend to think that an 'MMA guys' outcome would be significantly effected by what arts they had studied, and the focus of their training. MBZ said- Now I'm certainly not saying it would b a cake walk trying to submit someone who just gouged out my eye but if I had or got you to the ground it would absolutely be possible...... No, no, NO. If you or anyone else on the planet got their eye gouged out, you would be incapacitated, very likely unconscious, and not likely capable of anything but the most simple defense. What people do when their eye(s) are severely traumatized, is they instinctively clutch their face with their hands. It doesn't matter what art a person studies, an eye is an eye, and as I said earlier-the eyes cant be conditioned. If a person were unaware of the loss of their eye (very unlikely, due to the loss of part of their vision and depth perception), they might be capable of more than just covering up, briefly. This sort of thing is seen-rarely- in war. But keep in mind, the eyes contain/connect to cranial nerves-large nerves that connect directly to the brain. I know of 2 interesting instances worth mention- 1- an experienced and well ranked 'MMA guy' got in a fight with multiple opponents, and was winning. He had grounded and submitted one guy, and the guy 'tapped'. WITHOUT THINKING, the 'MMA guy' let go, as was typical of his training-and the opponents proceeded to beat the crap out of him. Another 'MMA guy I know of got in a fight with 5 people, and beat the shit out of all of them. Im not sure about the first guy's training background, but the second guy did CMA in addition to his MMA training. However, thats not to say that the CMA training was the determining factor-the second guy apparently has a very intense personality. As I said, 'personal factors'. I hope TTB doesn't become 'TaoBum-SHIDO'. These are my thoughts, based on my knowledge and experience. Peace.

Two other things I wanted to give some input on- Being able to take punches will NOT make you able to withstand even a moderately strong strike to the eye. Nothing will, really-you cant condition the eyeballs or the actual testicles to any significant degree. Unlike the hands, feet, etc. There DOES exist within some CMA's a method of training the muscles and tissues around the eye and eyelids that will help. Also, MMA guys can also choose to bite, gouge eyes, poke eyes, break fingers etc. if they are in fight (not in the ring). And unlike almost ALL CMA people you see on video, they have superb endurance, and can take a lot of abuse. Apples and oranges. Is this thread getting warm?
  15. Chinese Martial Arts and MMA/UFC

MBZ said- This is absolutely correct. Intentionally going to the ground in order to submit the opponent is the genius of bjj and no traditional CMA can rightly claim this strategy as there own...BLESSINGS! Indeed, due to the unique framework of sport fighting in a controlled environment, going to the ground can have its own benefits. And people proficient in BJJ certainly are more than capable in that framework. The most capable, really. But- 99% of the time, this is just about the worst thing to do in an actual self defense/'fight' situation. Recently, I helped break up a bar fight. Two of the three people who wound up on the ground had to get stitches for the large lacerations they got from broken glass. Now then, I don't know about CMA, but IIRC Silat does contain the idea of intentionally going to the ground-with a different focus though, I think. And, the underlying theme here, IMO is again, you get good at what you train for, and if you train for something/in some way/etc that you opponent does not, your chances of success go way up. BJJ people live on groundwork, most other arts (would) die there. You get good at what you do. And what you do/train should be based on your goals. Winning in the ring is a different goal than surviving an unexpected violent attack on your life. Likewise, you will be able to handle situations that are around the same intensity that you are used to operating at. (how hard you train). If you train for intensely violent attacks, but your training lacks violence and intensity, then you will only get good at training ;-) Peace.
  16. Chinese Martial Arts and MMA/UFC

Here are my thoughts- CMA techniques-at least many of the ones I know-often utilize many of the strikes& methods which are apparently not allowed in MMA matches. For example; UFC Illegal Strikes & Attacks: Fouls: 1. Butting with the head. 2. Eye gouging of any kind. 3. Biting. 4. Hair pulling. 5. Fish hooking. 6. Groin attacks of any kind. 7. Putting a finger into any orifice or into any cut or laceration on an opponent. 8. Small joint manipulation. 9. Striking to the spine or the back of the head. 10. Striking downward using the point of the elbow. 11. Throat strikes of any kind, including, without limitation, grabbing the trachea. 12. Clawing, pinching or twisting the flesh. 13. Grabbing the clavicle. 14. Kicking the head of a grounded opponent. 15. Kneeing the head of a grounded opponent. 16. Stomping a grounded opponent. 17. Kicking to the kidney with the heel. 18. Spiking an opponent to the canvas on his head or neck. 19. Throwing an opponent out of the ring or fenced area. 20. Holding the shorts or gloves of an opponent. 21. Spitting a t an opponent. 22. Engaging in an unsportsmanlike conduct that causes an injury to an opponent. 23. Holding the ropes or the fence. 24. Using abusive language in the ring or fenced area. 25. Timidity, including, without limitation, avoiding contact with an opponent, intentionally or consistently dropping the mouthpiece or faking an injury. Now then, if you eliminate almost all of the things that a person trains for, you are left with a set of basics-which is mostly what MMA techniques are, regardless of the style or method they originate from. (BJJ, Muay Thai, etc.) So, you wind up with the MMA people spending almost all of their time training TO APPLY these basics-kicks, punches, grappling, etc. So they get very VERY good at these basics. Since most of the CMA training I am aware of involves techniques or applications of what is mostly not allowed in MMA, much less time gets devoted to APPLYING these basics, and what time is spent on it (eg., sparring, often with lots of pads) is done under much less PRESSURE than the same techniques/applications are trained by MMA people. You get good at what you do. Also, MMA training gets you in GREAT shape. Endurance is crucial in fighting. You are only as good as your weakest link. A few other thoughts-- CMA and many other method/styles are concerned more with surviving an unexpected attack. MMA is not. MMA trains people to engage in fisticuffs AFTER both parties are aware of the altercation that is about to happen-CMA tends to do this less so. CMA, RBSD, etc.. all contain the idea of a smaller/weaker person having to defend (neutralize, equalize, etc) a larger/stronger opponent-OR MULTIPLE opponents--where as within MMA, as far as I know, they ONLY train to fight one person at a time (thus, they consider purposefully going to the ground a viable strategy at times), and as far as matches go, they are pitted against someone of comparable physical mass. So, comparing the two is really like comparing apples and oranges. I'll leave with this-people who train MMA do their training in real time, on another human being, who is resisting them. This is largely why they are successful in the ring and on the streets--not because of WHAT they train, so much as HOW they train it. CMA people would do good to follow suit. -Peace-
  17. Inception Movie Review

I just had to mention this-- I LOVE 'Bladerunner', and think it is one of the best movies of all time. So much depth, and detail. They hardly make em like that anymore. Also, 'Waking life' is superb. '2001: A Space Odyssey' was good. Basically, all the films mentioned in the thread are great. You all have great taste in film, IMO.
  18. Kundalini

    So, no worries then?
  19. Kundalini

Darn internet connection.... Okay, round two. I want to take KAP, but need to save $. I bought 'The Backward Flowing Method: The Secret of Life and Death" by J.J. Semple. It is on its way, in the mail. I just listened to a podcast by Semple where he says that once you go past the 'point of no return', you can no longer procreate at will. And that you can still have kids, but that you have to be very prudent with your emissions. So, what might I expect if I follow through with this and succeed with opening/arousing Kundalini? will i no longer be able to have sex as usual? Please, clarify...please.... Thanks- Nate
  20. Findley- I gotta admit-I read the title of this thread, and saw your name, and was like, 'well, shiiiiiiit. what's HE got to say.' But after reading your post, I had to laugh a bit, and I must say I agree with you a lot. The Dao that can be named is not the true Dao. We've all read that, and everyone seems to apply it in different ways. Perhaps its not the same thing to everyone? Different things to different people? You say tomato, I say whatever? IDK man. If I recall, you've been to China to some summit on the Dao. I think YOU are actually one of the voices of reason and balance in this place. So please stick around and share your perspective. I think, in Darin's defense, that he is a good guy, and would agree with you about the importance of something like college. As would many others. Looking back at stuff in the last few years, I've made some of the most profound advances in areas os my life after realizing that the path I was on was bullshit, or flawed, or misguided, or just not right for me. Had I not tried and done some of those things which were a waste of time, I would not be as far along as I am in some areas. Sometimes in order to appreciate some successes, we have to fail. From knowledge comes wisdom. Use the force, etc. Anyway, if you don't like it (TTB), change it.
  21. whoooah.

  22. Interesting read. Have fun Make your own decisions...

Bullshido-- two things come to mind. 1.) At the top of the page, it says 'YMAS your martial art sucks'. This sets the tone pretty well, and lets you know the ideology of the people who go there and post, run the site, etc. 2.) The 'prove it or it didn't happen' argument rules out any killing technique-and a lot of other martial arts techniques. I can't actually prove that I can break someone's neck, because to do so would be murder. But that does NOT mean that I cannot perform whatever action.
  23. Kalimasada Telekinesis Demo

"If you really have a skill then you should be able to demonstrate 20 times in a row involving outsiders." Then I guess by this standard, olympic power lifters are fakes, because I bet not one of hem could do their max lift 20 times in a row. Also, what is so great about getting the public's approval?

Those are 2 different types of light bulbs. Try again.
  25. Jim Carrey gives energy transmission

I just want to say, good for him. So good for him. I have always felt a good presence from Jim Carey, positive and good. I'm glad for him. peace& love ;-)
