Yes, you are free to your opinion, but, if your opinion is about an actual system/school/teaching and your intent is to judge/bad mouth/criticize it, you better have good and authentic knowledge of it. Your argument, with the intent to discredit and criticize our school/system/teaching is very flawed and ignorant. It goes to show the kind of person you are. There is no Mopai website that is created to be the official Mopai website, permitted by the master of the lineage. There was a website pretending to be the "official" Mopai website, but, the school has dispute it and it was then shut down. If there are more websites popping out pretending to be the official site, please be very careful and do not trust its information. The 72 levels of Mopai are actually not as people understand it to be. This is actually a misunderstanding people have of Mopai and its teachings. Mopai is not from Wudang nor is it associated with Wudang. John Chang mentioned Zhang San Feng not as its ancestor. If it was perceived so, it was a misunderstanding. As to the Mopai technique, it does not and never promote semen retention. It was referring to the practitioner having to take a break from the meditation after having sex. You do not have any knowledge of Mopai's teachings and techniques, so I suggest be humble and do not try to act all knowing. So once again, please refrain from passing judgement on a system or school that you have NO idea of. Instead of doing that, be humble and mind your own practice. If you have any questions on Mopai or its system, you can ask us. If it is allowed, we will try to clear up any misinformation. I suggest courtesy towards other schools and systems. A true honorable person does not get his reputation by spouting out nonsense on a practice/system that he/she is ignorant of. Thank you for understanding.

Sorry tongkosong, you are not mopai expert even though you are an actual student of John Chang. Everyone knows more_pie_guy is the authority on everything mopai since he can quote magus of java better than everyone, and we all know that book is the utimate truth on neigong. So unless you battle and beat more_pie_guy on quoting magus of java, you have no power here.

If Jim and Kosta are such great experts on neigong, why can't they shoot lightning out of their asses like you can. Clearly you are more advanced than them. You know more about neigong than any mopai students existing or even John chang since none of them can shoot lightning out of their asses better than you do.

Ya Mu, there is no point arguing with more_pie_guy, don't you know he is the internet authority on neigong? He has read magus of java and he can quote from it better than anyone existing . He knows all the theory of neigong even more than any actual mopai students or john chang himeslef becasue he has read magus of java many times. Don't you know that that book contains all the truth of neigong practice and contains no errors even though the author did not speak chinese nor indonesian? A book relying on a translation by a bare beginner in neigong is the most authentic source of information, everyone knows that.

Because he is the foremost internet expert and representative of mopai and all neigong practice. He knows more than any students of John Chang or even John Chang himself because his knowledge is the truth. He can backs up his claims with the holy scripture of niegong which has absolutely no errors, contains all truth and all knowledge beyond anyone who is actually in the mopai lineage, the holy scripture is the Magus of Java.

that was in 1995 and he was declared a qigong master ten years later - but it took him a few years just to initially get into full lotus - maybe a couple I think.

Hey Drew, I don't mean getting into lotus. My question is once you got into lotus, how does he train to increase the duration of the meditation.

Interesting article Drew, could you ask Jim next time how does he train to sit in full lotus for so long? How long does it take him to be able to sit for 6 hrs straight?

Hi Therion, May I know these people that have passed the 4th level are training in what lineage ? What system do they use, Taoist, Budhist, Indian, etc ?

lol if you search "thunderpath" you will come across some dude named david verdesi who founded his own lineage quite recently.

*sigh* some poeple will never listen. the fact that this practice is BS is as obvious as the blazing sun. the old master had already said so in "Understanding Reality".

when one's body is completely fucked up then maybe one will start to regret but when that happen, it will already be too late.

If anyone practice the BS presented in this book, they deserve any retribution that might happen to them. This is quite plainly the kind of evil practice that damage the name of taoism.

In response to the typical attacks on science/physics - im a physicist, we don't like fascism any more than anyone else does so if you don't mind cooling it a bit with the attacks. No, we don't know everything about the universe, but we do know a hell of a lot, and atleast we are trying, its an ongoing process.

 

Science really does work, every single piece of technology we use everyday is based on it, including your computers you are posting with. There are some complex things science doesn't have answers for yet, that's because we don't yet have the right tools for the job. Its no reason to fill in the blanks with pure opinion and call it fact. Beliefs are different, some are consistent with observable reality, some aren't, but we get to choose what we believe and what we don't, so why does it matter?

 

With respect to John Chang. Ive spoken to the guy in the video posted here, he's a nice guy and as previously suggested he was happy to take on serious students when we talked. But as a good teacher once asked me, "What is it you really want to learn?". Chang doesn't teach anymore. His students sometimes do. If you are looking for enlightenment bear in mind his students are level 3 at highest, pretty far from the level 72 of enlightenment which apparently only 2 people in documented history have attained using this system. If you are looking for power or any other system to get an advantage in life - there are easier ways.

 

If you are looking for enlightenment, check out, for example, Buddha's stuff; he apparently had a very high success rate in getting others enlightened.

 

Im a buddhist, my wife is a muslim, the friends we eat lunch with every day are strict chirstians and heavy athiests. We debate the finer points of reality and learn something from it to further our understanding, but at the end we all believe what we choose to believe and take no offense from the discussion.

 

I think its pretty easy to find the proof you are looking for if it exists and you try hard enough. I believe there are real teachers out there with something real to offer. But I don't blame these real teachers from not wanting to take on western students or prove anything to them, we are hardly the pinnacles of civilised society like we believe we are, if you need proof of that then just check some of the content of these previous posts.

To attempt any of these practise without proper transmission is the surest way to ruin your body. People who think they can learn from a book (and worse, from a translation) without a teacher is deluded. You can experience all kind of sensation and think that you are moving along but in fact all of those sensations/images are pure fantasy. You are just getting your body used up by a foreign spirit.

Totally unnecessary response ... please learn some manners.

I have really enjoyed your posts in the forum. I am a total beginner when it comes to all of this, but I saw the two videos on John chang and now I am completely fascinated, feeling that this is my calling. I am just about to hop on a flight to borneo and hunt him down to try and become his student.

I'm wondering how to get started, I don't know anything about meditation or bio energy, but I want to master it all. There is no real magic left in the earth and this wisdom is way too important to die out, I want to preserve it and learn everything.

 

I really want to travel to visit the masters, you had mentioned something about this several years ago in a post. I would love to get in contact with anyone who learned from Chang or knows where he is located.

 

I'm very serious in my passion for knowledge and wisdom

This kind of posts about John Chang always make me laugh. Who the f**k do you think you are? This kind of knowledge will not be lost. They will be transmitted but just NOT to YOU. If it's meant for you to know, you will be seeked out, not the other way round. Stop wasting your time.

we all think that we are special and talk with deep meaning in every sentence. but the simple truth is that we are simpler than we think we are. basic protocol and courtesy should be understood without the necessary for other to remind ourselves.

Hey guys, please argue your philosophical position on David's teaching in other thread. As unworthy a topic as this thread is, i do think one has to respect the poster and the topic.

On another note, it's quite clear to anyone that, after thousands of posts that are available in the public domain on Mopai. If one still try to seek it out after reading through the all these posts, that person really have an unhealthy obsession over power. The path is just not meant for you. Get over it and find another path.
