  1. I don't know how I feel about this one. I mean, on the one hand it is clearly logical from a reflective perspective that one would stand to save money, time, and energy if avoiding the whole marriage ritual and that one would still have a solid and purposeful relationship with the one they love because at the end of the day, marriage is a man-made concept. However... Where do you we draw the line when "conforming" to norms? The time, money, and effort involved in the marriage process also brings with it a marriage license, which provides rights and provisions under the law, but also provides the couple with the mental sanity of knowing their families and the civilization around them "approve" of their union. I don't think it's that much of an effort when those benefits are included within the package. Don't you think so too?
  2. Tao and Sexuality

Hi! So i'm new to the tao and am trying to learn how the tao relates to all things in life. All I know of personal issues and self-discovery is what is constantly thrown around by religion and religious practice. When it comes to sexuality it is generally a "sin" unless two individuals have paid for a marriage certificate or something to that affect I'm just wondering what the "Taoistic" stance is on sexuality. I assume there is no "right" or "wrong" in the tao, but what does it teach about this subject? Anything would be helpful. Thank you!
  3. Hello

Hi, I have always been very interested in Taoism. My favorite literary sources are books by Deng-Ming Dao. After reading 365 Tao and other similar texts, I tend to base a lot of my life around the taoist principles. Recently I have come up with a dilemma which I am hoping someone may be able to help me with (I hope this is the appropriate forum to post in). My question to anyone who wishes to respond is: According to Tao, what is to be done about feelings of revenge?
