  1. Hello, This is quite a nice thread full of useful information. One question that came to mind--do you not have any issues mixing systems? This is something most teachers are always warning about. Also, since you say Vethathiri Maharishi's system is by far the best spiritual system you have ever practiced, why would you continue to practice anything else?
  2. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

Respectfully, the rabid and spastic political rants hurt the FPCK "brand" imo. I just can't imagine why anyone should invest so much energy in hating a guy who is an expert psychic vampire? It's like, wake up that's his job--to steal your energy. Now I'm supposed to want to learn a system that hasn't helped the "Master" to not act like a garden variety ignoramus when it comes to politics. Trump is a symptom of a much deeper problem and it goes beyond partisan politics. Think about it, everyone hates Trump, it's not exactly hard but perhaps avoiding getting sucked into the negativity proves difficult for the man on the street. But a Master? Come on. I just find there's a lot of bad vibes in this thread at times and I quit FPQG because of it. I'm sorry but Terry Dunn comes across as really ungrounded in some of his postings here. Hopefully that helps someone. Take it as constructive criticism from a customer.
  3. Who is Loneman Pai?

Not sure why but Lmp or Sotg changed his name on this forum years ago. He used to use the name "Disabled Not Broken." Posted on literally all the same topics. Was the author of all the same PDFs that Sotg is also the author of. When I welcomed him back to the forum he told me he wasn't the same guy and rambled about the NSA. I thought it was strange to lie about something so obvious. Never looked any further into his system.
  4. BEWARE! This book is incomplete and the author himself has not completed the Work described . The book was put together from notes from Frater Albertus' classes. I have this on VERY good authority from many sources. Please do not do yourself any harm by following this book. All the best.
  5. Adrenal fatigue

It's also possible that you are just generally exhausted from the erratic (man-made?) weather we've been having--I know I am. Most people I know have been complaining of "adrenal fatigue" type symptoms of late.
  6. A year of Agrippa :)

    Sounds like fun
  7. What's the deal with Tin Foil?

That's good foil, Dude. At that price, Reynolds is giving it away!
  8. What's the deal with Tin Foil?

Hahaha. Yes. Your reasoning was sound though! I learned to always wrap any bottles containing alchemical tinctures in tinfoil to keep them uncontaminated from psychic debris. I use virgin linen for my other tools.
  9. Confusion around "Kunlun."

Joe Blast, my comments were meant for the OP to consider as a student of an esoteric path. It is our responsibility to remind others to reflect on these important points from time to time as members of the community. I would say this to anyone who feels "strangely drawn" to any system of practice whether it be Wicca or Tenaga Dalam. My best to you.
  10. Confusion around "Kunlun."

Respectfully, a teacher must embody the results that a student wishes to achieve. The teacher must be able to demonstrate that the teaching is effective. Effective how? It delivers the sought for results. That is what I meant. This is what all ancient traditions teach. Max didn't teach you this??? Newer Age schools teach a placebo effect in which the student "does whatever feels groovy" with no standard to aim for until they must use the 4 words of true power: WHERE ARE THE RESULTS? I trust you see the difference.
  11. Confusion around "Kunlun."

Humbly, I hasten to point out that when taking up a practice, look at the teacher and consider that by practicing their teaching, you will become them. By their fruit you will know them.
  12. Greetings Folks--I was instructed by my Teacher to "really spend as much time as you can on your practices during the last 3 days of November." ISON was not mentioned but it is an interesting "coincidence."
  13. Afrocentric podcasts on occult topics tend to be somewhat tragic--the people seem hungry for knowledge but the us/them mentality limits the depth that they tend to interact with the material. Not to mention the outright lies, deception and misinformation that abounds within this subculture. His attitude is so common among occultists. I've met many Magicians who treat the occult sciences as if practicing magic is like being in a street gang and they are card-carrying members. That's a natural ego reaction but it must be overcome for real progress to be made on the path. Still it's better than nothing.
  14. Magical Challenge

OP: I know Andrieh Vitimus personally and while I have great compassion for him, I cannot endorse him as a competent guide in these matters. His New Age approach will lead you nowhere. There is even someone posting in this very thread who could teach you so much more (note: I do not mean myself). Hint: he also goes by the name Donald

I don't want to muddy the waters with too much metaphysics. But according to the ancients, we are surrounded by a vast array of spiritual entities--both good, bad and indifferent. Some of these beings of lower vibrations are purely chaotic forces and others are parasitic in nature. They feed off of human energy. This is something one can experience directly as one's awareness becomes subtler. As an experiment, go into a trendy bar when it is totally empty and note the response in your energy. There's a good chance you may feel quite drained. Some would posit that this is due to the disproportionate number of hungry low-level spirits to patrons. When the club is hopping, this effect is seldom noticed. To answer your question, the bulk of our suffering is caused by ignorance of our defective patterns that no longer serve us and some of our pain is indeed caused by malevolent entities who sabotage us on our path--these entities are spoken about in most traditions and even propitiated in certain schools so that they help rather than hinder the practitioner. There are countless stories of Christian or Buddhist Saints subduing the spirits around certain places; Padmasambhava being a good example.

If one were conducting an experiment, one would endeavor to keep the materials, vessels, environment, etc. as clean and free from contamination as possible. To introduce drugs into ones practice is to contaminate one's "laboratory" with a variable that affects the results. Since the imagination is so strongly affected by drugs, one can never be sure what the results will be. Even if one believes one has achieved a favorable result how can one know what the results would be without drugs unless one attempts the experiment without the drugs? So many make a fale equivalency between things they have read about and drug experiences they have had. "I smoked pot and felt chi for the first time." How can one be sure? Further, the notion of drugs as a "short-cut" was mentioned--a short-cut to what exactly? They seem to be a shortcut to realizing how much baggage one carries around in one's subconscious--to that I agree--but so many believe that this is a destination on the path rather than a "rest-stop." Also, I have not met (or read) any champion of psychedelics who seemed to have any practical knowledge of anything spiritual but the lower astral realm and I believe that's as far as theses substances can take one. Sure, at the time the insights seem staggering but those will invariably plateau and ultimately cease. Lastly, it's worth noting that these drugs open one up to being vampirized by the denizens of the lower astral planes (hungry ghosts of buddhism). Without the proper knowledge of how to identify what's happening or what to do about it, the user can be duped into thinking they are meeting "higher intelligences" or making incredible discoveries about the nature of reality as their mundane reality continues to stagnate further and further. These entities have a vested interest in ensuring the person continues with these substances. Someone earlier mentioned that they get free weed every time they think about quitting. Well of course! The hungry ghosts need to eat. Do drugs open up the lower spiritual worlds? Absolutely. I am merely pointing out that it's not all sunshine and lollipops--but quite the contrary. Be guided accordingly.
  17. Negative Effects of New Age teachings

Then DO it! Stop thinking and start FEELING. Break those muscles down and then sense and feel your body. I assume you also know the You Meditation? If not, pm me.

I suppose this was directed at myself or the others who have offered well-reasoned feedback on this topic which disagrees with your basic premiss. If intelligent discussion is not what you want and those who disagree with using drugs to achieve "spiritual" ends are merely hi-jacking "your" thread, then why not go over to erowid and bask in the glorious pro-drug discussions surely taking place there? But you didn't do that. You opened a thread on Taobums and so a discussion has ensued. If you can't deal with that, then why not ingest the drug of your choice and surely you will regain the necessary composure to deal with this harsh reality. "Drugs are always good m'kay"

Ah yes, but the Wisdom that comes from freeing the mind of duality is not to be secured through engaging in the us/them mentality that one learns from the supposedly liberated "counter culture," which seems to know a great deal more about getting high and enjoying a "far out bassline" and significantly less about how to effectively deal with a crisis or for that matter, how to escape Samsara. As a side-note, in my experience, Psychedelics do more to inflate the ego than to liberate it. So many users develop a very impulsive-reactive psychology that becomes very reflexively hostile towards any ideology which doesn't promote the drugs that they are so very fond of. Psychedelic culture has it's own dogmatic belief system entrenched within it while proposing that it is beyond such things. Poppycock! Look at how similar these "non-conformists" are to one another and how much they are in agreement with one another just like any other cult or set.. Most of it's adherents are anything but enlightened and self-serving to the extreme. For evidence of this, simply observe the behaviour of every hippie/burner/raver you've ever encountered. Not much enlightenment going on. Glorified drug addiction is more like it. Of course there are exceptions to what I just wrote. But it needs to be said that the promotion of Psychedelic drugs as some sort of "quick-fix" towards enlightenment has done more harm than good in our culture. Few people are responsible enough to administer them properly. In short: the Psychedelic paradigm has failed to produce the number of enlightened beings that it so enthusiastically predicted it would. Instead psychedelics have produced far more delusional flakes, serious burnouts, ego-maniacs, etc. Those relatively unharmed usually move on to more productive things or take refuge in a Tradition that has a better track record.
  20. Interesting thread. As as adjunct to ancestor worship, one could make an altar for one's "spiritual ancestors" that have passed down the Teachings from the Tradition one practices. Pictures, statues, sacred objects, etc. can be placed on the altar with candles, flowers, water, incense etc. Praying and making offerings at such an altar can be a great way to invoke the energy of the Invisible Masters who have gone before us. The fact that they were once human makes them more sympathetic to our plight then, say, the Angels and Gods who, for lack of a better word, really don't care too much about us as individuals. In my humble opinion, this would be a more fruitful endeavour than propitiating one's dead relatives who are not necessarily enlightened beings or even any more wise than they were while alive simply because they have died.
  21. Role Of Deities

Good post. In another sense, by taking on the qualities of the Deity through constant meditation, one creates a container for one's energies when one is no longer in the body. Deity Yoga leads to the creation of the Body of Light in some schools. This is the more esoteric interpretation.
  22. Mormonism and Satanism

This and this will get you started and will put you on course far better than anything Joseph Smith ever had any hand in.
  23. PUA and Spirituality

This is something I have pondered. Sometimes one needs a radical approach. On this forum we often say "Love yourself more, meditate, etc" (I just did). But perhaps the single best thing to do would be to hire the hottest escort you can find and explain that she's going to get to "deflower" a virgin. If you get the right girl she will rock that young man's world and create an imprint that will last a lifetime. Think about it: if you lose your virginity to the hottest girl you can imagine your confidence will skyrocket and girls will no longer be a mystery as you've already had the holy grail. Not the most "spiritual" approach but it makes me smile to think of making this happen for a brother in need
  24. PUA and Spirituality

This will sound trite but really you must develop Self-Love. Stop wounding yourself with all the criticism. Our beliefs create our reality as you already know by now. I recommend sitting upright in a chair in front of a mirror and using a method from Huna with a twist. Gaze at your reflection and open your heart and say to yourself "I'm sorry. Please Forgive Me. Thank You. I love you." You are apologizing to your Self for all the memories of embarrassing situations and negative self-talk/beliefs you are holding onto. It's important to be honest about just how much we abuse ourselves. Repeat the mantra for every new thought/memory that arises. This technique dissolves blockages. Finally after lots of information comes into your awareness, ask your Subconscious mind to release all of the painful data back to the Tao/Absolute/God. I myself have used this technique to great effect after previously writing it off as New-Agey. Try it.
