  1. This is almost impossible to cover... If you have read past threads, you know a lot. I'd suggest to go with what/who fits you best. Easiest to learn yet complete - Yigong. You sit and wait for/allow movements to happen. Second and third level - you don't have to worry about that. My understanding was she doesn't teach it. But if you would be serious about that I'd suggest to enquiry her directly about such possibility. Also, these two levels were likely described in the old Kunlun book (the new one doesn't have it). Sifu Matsuo - great if you are looking for something movement or martial art based. But bagua is likely the hardest of martial arts to learn from DVD. Then if you are not into bagua or martial arts, you don't have to worry about 100s of DVDs as most of them are baguazhang. He also has meditation (vajrasattva mantra), healing (some medical qigong, or kunlun flying needles - likely advanced, tibetan medicine), kuji kiri, jinshin,.....vibrating palms both for healing and martial arts...kuan yin magnetic qigong,... Most complete, Dragon Gate teachings....from meditation to martial arts to healing, bagua which if you practice couple hours per day you can become somewhat proficient in it in 20 years LOL. Safest - the vajrasattva meditation by far . It's all what you need and want. So I'm a bit scared of bagua after overloading with info from here and elsewhere, but found the Teacups DVD from Sifu Matsuo very good investment, but I knew it would be good for my specific condition even if I'm not a baguazhang player. I liked the simple medical qigong 10 essential movements that is on Sifu Lamb's DVD. One of the better medical qigongs out there IMHO (though it's movements only, there is no theory intent visualizations explanations.....), she wrote something like it being carefully assembled exercises fitting like mala beads, and that's how it feels to me when doing it.
  2. just copying and pasting the link will do, here it is:
  3. Learning Tai Chi - Where to get started

Get Insider's guide to Tai Chi by Bruce Frantzis from https://s3.amazonaws.com/taichiprogram/Insiders-Guide-to-Tai-Chi-By-Bruce-Frantzis.pdf (or his book Tai Chi: Health for Life, it even has a chapter on Tai Chi and Spirituality) It covers a lot on how to choose which style to practice.
  4. Learning Tai Chi - Where to get started

No one can verify it. It's all legends. Only martial origins are somewhat verifiable. So IMHO back to the source would be Chen style. That form can be learned from other sources too.
  5. .

Yes, but even if you visit directly, this website uses Google ads so "they know", anyway. LOL In our country we had a local search engine, direct Google competition. Their most searched phrase was name of the search engine. Thus I wouldn't wonder in case Google was the most used search on Google.
  6. What can you do without a teacher?

Advance greatly or destroy your health. It depends. Apart from other factors, also depends on what you are into. Daoist philosophy, diet, some basic medical qigong.... not that big risks.
  7. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

If I remember correctly, in the past it has been confirmed that it is OK. (eg. first sentences on http://thetaobums.com/topic/28535-sunn-yee-gong-comments-attainments/page-17 but there were more posts on that)
  8. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

That's correct yet it always felt to me more like a safety warning for beginners than absolute rule. Similar to breath holding, it's said that 'There is no retention in beginning levels of the FP system.' yet once one progresses (my own wording) retention (to count up to 100% each time) adds to the effect of each breath control sequence. The percentages are 'translated' I believe was the word used, it's a generalization already and not an absolutely exact representation of original, and in that light the difference eg. between 80 50 40 30 10 and 90 50 40 30 10 would be next to none. Only the difference in Long Form seems more significant, though the breathing pattern still kind of matches. It's not publicly known what the breathing system is based on, so one can only guess, but in case the breathing patterns possibly might be even partially based on anatomy (eg. organ location), that could lend it further flexibility since each human being has slightly different anatomy (even energetic anatomy) in terms of measurement (eg. head vs body %, or upper vs. lower body %) and placement. Safety belts vs 'IT'? (Just thinking out loud, I have merely scratched the surface of the system myself ...)
  9. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

Btw. the summary post on all the breathing percentages: http://thetaobums.com/topic/12639-flying-phoenix-chi-kung/?p=180930 mentions 90 60 5 40 30
  10. DGS's Dizzying DVD Collection

IMHO many masters understand it, but they have to teach you in person - to see you and correct you accordingly, video might be a bit difficult to transfer nuances of art like bagua. Btw. does anyone have the Empath training dvd? The waterfall meditation it contains, is it the same one that's found in the original Kunlun book by Max Christensen?
  11. Pangu / Kwan yin comparison

same goes for kwan yin qigong, so another similarity

  13. Nei Jing Yi Zhi Chan Qi Gong cd_dvd

Try http://developyourenergy.net/about-us/sifu-dan-ferrera/ Sifu Dan Ferrera studied with this master and offers course on this qigong, maybe he even might know better contact details to acquire the cd you are after.
  14. legit web designers?

Template is only important once the project is technically working. Template = design. For non-standard type of website, last step in the process, only after you got the functionality in place. If I understand it correctly, more than wwoof.net homepage you need this: https://wwoofusa.org/our-farms/ ie. the map. Wwoofusa site btw. is based on wordpress. Anyway first you need to solve the functionality - map, and social networking (at minimum signup/profile/messaging, if not something more - friendships, ratings, gamification, whatever....). Once you know what exactly you are looking for in terms of (minimum) functionality, go and find whether Wordpress has plugins for that. Install and test all the plugins, select what fits. Only then find webdesigner, or test some of the freely available templates to see whether they suffice. If the social networking (messaging) plugins will not suffice your needs, you'll need to find php programmer specialized in Wordpress. If the Google maps plugins will not suffice, you'll need javascript+php programmer. If all you need is couple static webpages and then the map and profiles with messaging, maybe you could also consider skipping wordpress altogether and just getting a custom javascript based solution. Or look into Wordpress competitors, maybe Drupal, and you'll find couple others, if you have time, could be one of them has better plugins for what you are looking for. Wordpress has likely largest ecosystem, but Drupal on the other hand is more targetted at websites with more complex needs so it could as well theoretically might have more suitable plugins for certain tasks.

  16. mysql pw help? :(

I could do it for you for free, if you don't have any other takers, just going to sleep right now so next day, if you don't have any takers in the meantime. However you'd have to entrust me with ftp access and mysql password. Or let me know the name of the script and I can check it for you and send instructions. That's, in case you are yourself comfortable with accessing the files somehow - you don't need to have FTP software installed for that I believe it might also be possible from cpanel.
  17. mysql pw help? :(

Password is stored in config file in the cart folder. With PHP scripts it's often config.php, or similarly named file, but best to look into installlation instructions for that particular script. Once you get it, you can either change the Mysql password to what is in the configuration file, or change the configuration file to your current mysql password.
  18. Mooiji - Anthony Paul Moo-Young

Couldn't find Mooji there either. Dalai Lama - 2,5* = = limited, some handicaps, or maybe not yet full stature Jesus Christ - 2 = very limited, narrow approach or ideology, or still developing At least Dalai Lama still has some time to improve to '3* the greats, helping many'.
  19. Flying Phoenix worldwide events

I'm a bit confused, is the event Thursday or Friday, and is it on this http://wwp.greenwichmeantime.com/time-zone/usa/pacific-time/ or this: http://www.timeanddate.com/library/abbreviations/timezones/na/pst.html zone? Thanks

  21. One thing is the marketing, the other thing is the actual method. Spontaneous movement qigong might be dangerous but is definitely not 'complete bullshit'. It's also part of many solid qigongs. 'Been practicing, extreme hardcore' -> that doesn't sound like correct practice. IMHO spontaneous movement qigong is about 'letting your body heal itself'. There is no 'letting' involved in 'practicing extreme hardcore'. Practicing extreme hardcore is good for weightlifting, not qigong.
  22. Yadi Alamin - The Qigong Therapist

Just re-read my posts above, hope it didn't sound negatively... The health qigong covers self-massage, Hashimoto breathing, some Sotai exercises, three orbits, golden elixir, standing Six Character Shen, six healing sounds, pulses qigong. It's likely an older version, latest complete version has likely more material. I'd say it's quite good, but then who am I to judge.
  23. That's the least legit of all the excuses posted, just plain wrong. And why the need to justify making it available, in the first place. OK but this one is not 'your stuff'? I might be wrong it's been some time but weren't the posts here in the past, pointing to the same lessons though located elsewhere, deleted by mods due to breaking site rules? I believe so.
  24. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

I'm in Europe and best time would be 12.30-14.30 PST, but might be able to accommodate most other times throughout the day too.
