  1. What do you want out of your practice?

The Sufis have a nice way of putting that sums it up for me. `To be in the world but not of the world.'
  2. Loneliness is Killing MEE!

Here's another perspective. Loneliness and friends is not really the disconnect. If it was a simple case of being lonely then your statement and the awareness of being lonely would make you feel better. If I'm not mistaken, this is what RV was trying to point out. You want to get to what's underneath whatever it is you think or feel you are experiencing. In other words, If you are confused then you might not know what you are really experiencing. For example, I can see that driving around all day by yourself has triggered your wandering and isolation experiences. And every time you mentioned the word 'hermit' or 'monk' I felt the energy drop out. Feel free to PM me if you would like an energetic perspective on what's going on.
  3. the real "First Noble Truth" per-se

And what if there is no suffering to avoid and no enlightenment? Then we can just abandon all conceptual thought.
  4. New Age Bunnies

And if I believe that my shit will turn into gold, does that make it true? It's funny how people will take something they don't understand and fall back on faulty logic. Well, if we don't understand how it works, it must be belief!
  5. If you connect to your insight, you can resolve the disconnect around not fitting in and seeking approval. Much of that disconnect is coming from your ancestors and their experiences of not fitting in. Anytime I find something that bothers me, I go look for the answer with my insight and resolve it with an energetic correction. Do this enough and you find very little will bother you. What is 'normal' anyway?
  6. Taijiquan Styles

Slightly OT but I have also found that you can take the principles of T'ai Chi and apply them to your daily life. It's important to know when to follow, yield, sink, retreat, advance, and attack. Also, meeting overwhelming force with softness is of great value in daily life. I once applied these principles to a conflict situation in the office and it worked like a charm! I practice Yang style T'ai Chi. My teacher studied with Chen Man Ching, who developed a short 37-form version of the original 108 postures (or whatever the number was). My teacher often points out differences between the styles but emphasizes the principles are the same. We focus on the form, pushing hands, and free form fighting.
  7. suffering and being natural

Who is happy, who is sad? The flotsam and jetsam of pleasure and pain. Now it's here and now it's gone!
  8. One last hug

How does a human being resolve the pain of loss, separation, and grief?
  9. The freezing cold

I'd be happy to correct the energetic weaknesses I see around the cold. I can do it here if you agree or we can do via PM. Just a couple of things I found that felt disconnected. Here's another thing that I found (because I always had cold hands). If you are holding tension in your shoulders it can block the flow of Qi to your arms and hands. The more I release my shoulders and chest, the more even the Qi flow to my hands.
  10. Channelling your destructive side...

A hobby can be a good source for channeling both creative and destructive energy.
  11. The freezing cold

Sure, resolve the disconnect or weakness behind your cold experiences. There are any number of ways to do this. Make no assumptions about the real cause behind why you despise the cold.
  12. Haiku Chain

My side. That's your side. Inside out and upside down. Life turns round and round.
  13. Spiritual and emotional healing

Yes, the circle and spiral are important. The circle creates the energetic space for healing, unity, or whatever you want to call it. Just go to your center and draw circles around your centerline. It will strengthen you energetically.
  14. Spiritual and emotional healing

Yes, the circle and spiral are important. The circle creates the energetic space for healing, unity, or whatever you want to call it. Just go to your center and draw circles around your centerline. It will strengthen you energetically.
  15. Spiritual and emotional healing

This is a very simple principle based on the centerline. When a line meets a circle stop. Once you have access to the centerline you have access to the energetic body. Waving your hands in the air doesn't make people get better (it might help focus one's attention), it's the understanding behind it applied to the center. To be more clear, the hand movements create a symbolic centerline or spine. The circle creates the energetic space for connection, unity, healing. The movement of the hands coming together applies the energetic correction to the centerline.
  16. Stalk the Buddha

Anything moving towards unity or one is aligned with evolution Anything moving toward multiplicity or separateness is aligned with involution ...or... Any influence that keeps people asleep is aligned with the forces of involution. Any influence that helps us wake up is aligned with the forces of evolution. That book (The Sirian Experiments) explores this topic in some depth.
  17. Thinking of the opinions as 'yours' immediately makes it harder to let go. Also, if you happen to have a weakness to people not taking you seriously or not listening to you, then you might be inclined to argue a point you didn't even believe was true! This could be true for your parents, their parents, and their parents, and so on. Ask yourself, "What has this opinion done for me lately?"
  18. Stalk the Buddha

Gurdjieff would call this the forces of involution. Reminds me of Doris Lessing's Canopus in Argos series, especially this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sirian_Experiments
  19. removing sexual blockages

Nice posts and plenty of strong advice. From a Yuen Method perspective, the KSMO is more of a trigger. To the OP, when you mentioned the nausea, I got a very clear energetic hit on the disconnect or weakness. You can PM if you like, would be better not to discuss it here.
  20. Wu Wei: Real or Myth?

Nice post and comments. Another way to look at Wu Wei: Spontaneity of action Or as my teacher used to say, doing things for the sake of doing them. No effort, no thought of reward or punishment; doing just what needs to be done.
  21. got my pills now

What kind of inflammation do you mean, Bob? What we eliminate is just as important as what we eat. Waste products building up in the structure of our bodies, such as the spinal cord, organs, joints, tissues, and cells need to find their way down and out of the body. I'm also a big proponent of addressing the real cause of one's pain and not just relying on physical tools (like food, herbs, supplements, and pharmaceuticals).
  22. Opinions on nessesity of Masters

Great post and comments. I would also add, many masters do not exist in the physical plane but that does not mean we cannot connect to them and learn from them. External masters (in this universe, dimension, existence, time, and space) are here by necessity (thank you Sinfest!). If humanity was not blind or asleep to our own mastery, there would be no need for masters at all. The form taken by masters will change according to the time, place, and people. Sincerely, -Adam

  24. Yuen Method?

If you want to PM me that would be fine. You do have specific issues coming from your spiritual programming that need to be resolved. Here are a few things I notice: --You mentioned confidence, but taking away other people's confidence is much weaker (coming from the ancestors and spiritual experiences). --Trying to maintain a positive outlook triggers all of your negative life experiences. This is why neutrality is so important. You want issues, triggers, and choices (it's a triad) to be strong (it's weak especially around choices). --There are also weaknesses around struggle and not getting it right coming from the mind and the spirit. --When I think about relationships and then stop thinking and feel, there is a big weakness around relationships with women. You would want to resolve the weak energy around enslavement and rape. --There is weak energy around remorse, guilt, and shame (which is contributing to the weak energy around depression) As I mentioned before, just by identifying these weaknesses, they got strengthened. Sincerely, -Adam
  25. Yuen Method?

There is a lot of faulty logic, judgement, and speculation in your statement. So you went to Dr. Yuen's website and just by looking around (without ever experiencing the method) you decided it's more or less a scam? Corrections are instantaneous, but it doesn't mean they will solve your 'problem' that very instant. Do you ask for proof of life? Do you ask for proof that you will wake up in the morning when you go to bed? Do you ask for proof from your physician that the pill he just gave you is completely safe and effective? I'm not sure what you mean by 'credentials' as Dr. Yuen does have credentials. And my physician has credentials but he wasn't able to help me get better when I got really sick, everything he did just made things worse. From my point of view, credentials are pretty meaningless; I learned that early in my life when I asked a person with a bucket load of credentials to perform a very basic task and he couldn't do it. Many things get better on their own without a person 'doing' something at the conscious level, it happens all the time. The only people who talk about 'curing' anything would be the people who received the corrections. Dr. Yuen never speaks in those terms, neither do I. If you have tried the method and it didn't work for you, that's fine. But you cannot extrapolate your own experience and say it doesn't work for anyone. And for anyone that hasn't experienced it, how you can speak on the subject with any authority at all? Sincerely, -Adam
