  1. Eeks, thats rude, rude not only to Max but to his teachers as well!
  2. new kunlun book

I am still waiting for the book to arrive. My question is kind of different. Are these practices independent and useful for those not practicing Kunlun? Kunlun does not work well for me at all but I was hoping to see if other practices can be integrated into my system? Are the other practices discussed in good detail? Mantra, - Does Max plan to be have a workshop in San Francisco sometime? - Also, are you guys planning to have workshops focusing on other techniques apart from Kunlun? - Are you planning to have a section of your forum open to those studying Max's teachings from the book? Appreciate your patience in dealing with the many questions.
  3. new kunlun book

I think you need the transmission for RP. RP does not seem to be listed in the contents. By the way the cover of the new book looks really cool. Did anyone get the color edition? Any recommendation if its better to get this one or the black-n-white book is just fine?
  4. Kunlun Practice

Agree on this one...somewhat Now if you also resort to name calling, like the others you accuse of, what is the difference between them and you? What greater good or inner quality did Kunlun inculcate? It has been fun reading some of your writings, but once you advertise and put something on public domain, praise and criticism of varying levels are a norm. Continued maturity in dealing with such criticism would really be a proof of the actual benefit of the practice.
  5. Q-Link -ahead of its time or scam

They say 75, but once you add to the cart, the price is 87.
  6. Is it a good idea, or safe

His QiGong is somewhat simple. Most of it breathing and holding air for different percentages of time. I do three of his seated meditations and find them calming. I have not tried the other stuff... The greatest issue with his DVDs though is that there is hardly any instruction, tips, explanation etc. One just has to see and copy the movements. You get it right, you're right or you never know.
  7. Wisdom teeth

Not sure if this is very relevant but here I go anyway. I saw my dentist last evening and she said my two lower wisdom teeth are horizontal and banging the adjacent teeth and need to be "surgically' removed. I ain't got any pain currently, but she thinks it will soon start. Any one here knows anything else that can be done? Surgery, the way she describes, totally freaks me out. Moreover, she also says the surgery can have side effects! I would love to hope my daily Chi Kung will take care of it but you know .... Anyone else suggest anything else? Thanks for all the help in advance.
  8. Wisdom teeth

Hey Kate, awesome, thanks for the advice. Its always helpfulto know things from those who have walked the path. Today, I consulted another Dental Surgeon who thinks there is no need to disturb the two bullies till they actually show some signs. I am hoping these signs nevvvvver show... Also, my dentist said, if we need to pull them out, it would be on General Anastasia. Thanks everyone....
  9. Z-health

Thanks!!! I just got one for my aunt.
  10. new kunlun book

There seem to be two editions of the new book, one being a special edition. Any idea what is the difference between the two new versions? Apart from the price, the table of contents looks same. [Edit] Sorry, now its clear..one is the black and white version, the other is color
  11. Z-health

Smile, Coyote, Are you still using Z-Health? I was looking for something for an Aunt who has a lower back pain and this was recommended by many. What was confusing though was what to start with, Neural Warm up or R-phase. Appreciate any inputs in this regard.
  12. Chi Gong for Old/arthritic People

Is Xiang Gong safe to be practiced? Or sage if practiced without direct instruction? The exercises do seem simple but here is what a website says: A friend who studied with Ken Cohen said that Ken expressed a similar view.
  13. Wisdom teeth

    Hey, that sounds interesting :-)
  14. Presence Process

I started reading this yesterday and got to the end of first chapter. So far, what he says makes complete sense! Seems like a great book. Are you planning to go through the 10 week schedule?
  15. Wisdom teeth

Thanks man! This is exactly what she was suggesting. She also said there were cases where vision was affected but that was really rare.
  16. Wisdom teeth

Thank you all! I seem to have now gained new wisdom
  17. Chinese Medical Qigong Therapy

    - Simple, easy to learn exercises - In the pattern of a workout which is what I liked best - Exceptional demonstration of the postures, which clears a lot of doubts that would arise when watching most other videos of such kind.
  18. Is it a good idea, or safe

He has three DVDs for Chi Kung. I got on from Netflix. :-)
  19. Chinese Medical Qigong Therapy

Just borrowed the DVD from a friend and watched it! Truly Amazing. The best Chi Kung video I have seen...

  21. Is it a good idea, or safe

Hundun, Any inputs on Flying Phoenix Chi Kung taught by Terence Dunn? He has three DVDs out for a few years now. Anyone else have any idea about Terence or Flying Phoenix Chi Kung? Thanks in advance
  22. Kunlun and Kundalini

But Kundalini is not always upward flow, is it? Urdhwa Kundalini moves up, Adhah Kundalini moves downwards, and Maha Kundalini is spontaneous, not directional. She is like a lightening and spontaneous combustion, everything going ablaze at once, in all directions, inwards and outwards. The concept of Kundalini seems to be approached mainly from Hatha Yoga point of view, which is really basic. There is really a lot more to that sweet lady! Every Sanskrit Mantra arises out of one of the 51 letters of the Sanskrit alphabet, called Matrika [the Supreme mother]. And Kundalini is called Matrika Sharirini - the one who is of the form of these letters. These 51 letters represent her and all mantras arising out of them essentially are directed towards Kundalini in one way or the other. Isolation of a mantra from Kundalini is not possible.
  23. Full-lotus fallacy

That is Lakshmi, his wife. Seems like you're used to your mom sorting your ankles often!! Weird imagination though considering you don't do full lotus lol! Here's same Vishnu seated in Full Lotus, in the context of Yoga - as Yogeshwar Badrinath, the Lord of the Yogis:
  24. The Fire Yogi

He does teach. - Leave a simple life eating nothing or a little - Practice the mantra for 11 hours a day - Harm none by thoughts, words or deeds. - Study the scriptures... And then these powers, including his power to heal, manifest. One can learn from him for free but he chooses who he teaches...
