  1. Thoughts aren't the problem it is the identification with thoughts that is the glue which fixates attention and energy. No matter how much you tame your mind thoughts will keep on thinking just as your lungs keep on breathing, it's a function of being human.
  2. Even if you have no direct experience the existence of subtle beings the existence of channelled books is pretty mainstream now, things like 'Conversations with God' appear in all the main book stores so obviously something is going on. Many healers and spiritual masters claim to be working with such beings. Most seem to want to do good, but are they all really trustworthy and have pure intentions? In terms of the map I most work with there are higher dimensions above and around our human realm, so there are 7th 8th 9th etc dimensions, full of different orders of subtle beings, but the thing is that just because something is in a subtle higher realm and has wisdom and power it doesn't necessarily mean they are free of ego. A higher level being isn't the same thing as a divine being or a being in complete altruistic service, you could easily confuse them up, they may try to give that impression that is what they are but they aren't necessarily the same thing. One story I heard is that the ancient Egyptians worked with some very powerful high level beings, which taught them many things and initially gave many benefits, but the deal on the subtle level was that in exchange the beings would gradually drain away the liver energy of the Egyptians, eventually leading to catastrophe. This story may be bullshit but who knows. In Tibetan medicine they have over 18 ranks and classifications of spirits who can interact with humanity for good or ill. The highest levels of which they call "Teacher spirits" , "Hermit spirits" "God physician spirits" and "Tantrician spirits", now something like a teacher spirit or physician spirit sounds like a good thing and may try to convince you that they are helping you, but in reality Tibetan medicine says that those spirits are the most harmful ones of all created with black magic to manipulate you off course and do harm. How do you know what level or order of being you are working with? So basically in this realm of subtle beings you have to be careful and the advice of many traditions such as Zen and Christianity which suggest going straight to the absolute and ignore all these other realms makes sense in this context.
  3. If you are still there when meditating on emptiness then there is still a duality between you and your meditation object. Even if the meditation is emptiness if there is a duality it just means your mind has created an object which it calls emptiness. The collapse of that duality results in realisation that you are the emptiness, it is what is reading this text right now. After that it is just a matter of being what you already are. Being what you are will open many of the energy gates as most of them are held shut by psychic tensions which all revolve around the sense of being a seperate "I".
  4. In one sense devotion is easier before awakening, because you have a separate object to be devoted to. Awakening in an annihilation of this duality so in one sense devotion is absurd from that perspective as you are basically worshipping yourself, yet it seems to be what goes on.
  5. I read an article about Nisargadatta the other day about how all the students would go and sit with him for meditation sessions where they sat as awareness, nothing do be done once you have moved beyond the I-AM except reside. But then also Nisargadatta would do devotional singing and Bhajan sessions which the Westerners often wouldn't attend, but those who did attend knew that it was in the active sessions in devotion where you got all the juice, and both types were important. How to bring the peace of our true nature into all the deep pockets of separation within us is the question, sometimes that does involve activity and intention in my experience, Bhajans and devotional singing appears to be a time honoured way to help this.
  6. Where are the Taoist Sages?

The vast majority of them were killed by Mao's purges, mostly what is left are fragments and partial teachings, if you are incredibly lucky you might stumble upon a genuine oral lineage but they are incredibly rare.
  7. The big P (Population / Problem)

Most developed industrial countries population growth slows down and eventually declines unless there is political intervention. Just look at Japan and Germany, which is basically the reason for the migrant crisis, without immigration many European countries would eventually start shrinking. So when China and Africa get more developed it is likely to happen there also and the world will have to develop sustainable methods of economic growth without relying on immigration.
  8. Divine intervention

Also the more light that is shined in the more the darkness is stirred up before being resolved , which is what is going on in the world now
  9. Divine intervention

There is divine intervention all the time, we just don't notice it our consciousness has become too dense
  10. Working with Attachments

In a sense attachments are addictions, and usually we only give up addictions when we clearly see we get absolutely nothing positive out of them. As long as we believe we need them or they serve us on some level we won't let them go.
  11. Burning off karma

One way to look at Karma is that it is consciousness stuck in separation, stuck in time and story. As our fundamental awareness exists outside of time and separation then liberation is about bringing that fundamental nature into those pockets of confusion, or rather bringing that forth from inside of it, so the pockets of karma wake up to their real nature. Therefore karma is ultimately unreal in this regard and any pocket of karma can be woken up and dissolved this way. Just being with a being who is established in their ultimate nature to some extent can create the resonance in you to bring forth that nature within you without either of you doing anything. Going to Satsangs, going on retreats etc all can have a benefit of waking up karma in this way just by providing the pause and space for it to happen.
  12. There are some very powerful people who seemingly bring in divine love who I wouldn't work with. It is a matter of discernment. There was one spiritual teacher from Eastern Europe who used to do world tours and bring in big crowds. People who attended her meetings would say that they felt so much love in her presence , to the extent that they would start falling in love with her neglecting their partners. Some people I know who work with energy attended her meeting and got suspicious when they started to fall in love with her too, so they did some energetic interventions to stop the hook and to stop her from hooking others in. The next week she cancelled all her tours and has never toured again. She was hooking people in in a way which felt like a divine blessing but actually was malicious.
  13. Yes it holds you back, but I'm yet to meet anyone who is a completely pure conduit without issues holding them back (except maybe Ammachi who can give blessings non stop for over 16 hours without a break or rest). I'm talking about personal experience, but as far as I can it applies universally.
  14. Yeah that is true, yet it's only true to say that when speaking directly from that place.
  15. Yes, it goes in degrees, you don't have to be completely surrendered to gain access. Do you think you folks who work with light are somehow beyond ego already?
  16. Depends what they believe they are doing. Not wrong but if you mistake the power of the divine for your own it will inflate your ego rather than humble you and allow you to surrender. It's a very subtle area but the ego will try co-op whatever you do to try to bring it into its own domain, I know from personal experience. For example Jesus never took any credit for whatever miracles or healing that happened through him, he would say to the individual that their faith redeemed them.
  17. Yeah I agree, but it's when individuals claim responsibility and doership for this that it can cause problems.
  18. You won't ever be able to, nor will anybody else, but it can happen through divine grace.
  19. You get out of body. Just about everybody is out of body to some degree.
  20. I can give you a long list of people who do online satsangs, where you share presence. Ultimately in such settings there is no danger other than what is released from your own psyche as there is no manipulation of the energetics, it is more like group meditation but empowered by the group field. Such Satsangs are different than remote healing sessions though where there is a specific intent to work on particular themes and issues. While sharing presence may have a healing quality it isn't the same thing as a real healing session, and the issue with a real healing session is what is being done or used to move the energy can vary in terms of purity, clarity and benevolence. But can also be more powerful in terms of direct healing if there is something important to target. I do both types, and would do a group meditation or Satsang sharing presence with anyone or any group without worry, but would only do a healing session with particular people as I wouldn't trust that all people really know what they are doing and trust the beings or energy that they work with.
  21. Merging and guru yoga

Like Silent Thunder said earlier the Chakras are already a unified field, in the sense they are already in a relationship with each other, you affect one and it influences another. But really all of life is a unified field, all interconnected all interrelated, all one. I don't see the realisation that the Chakras are a unified field is anywhere as important as realising that life is.
  22. Merging and guru yoga

There is duality in everything.. as well as non-duality. Being everything or being Buddha is only half the deal, you are also localised, you can't say one cell is the same as another cell they have membranes and boundaries, when you stub your toe I don't feel it in this nervous system. On the level of energy chakras are as real as anything else, they have functions in the human body, distinctions from one another. If you break it down you can say nothing is real, but if you take that as the only truth on all levels then you will fall into trouble.
  23. Merging and guru yoga

No chakras are energetic realities, on an energy level just as real as your internal organs. Nothing to do with mind beliefs.
  24. Merging and guru yoga

On an energetic level a chakra is a functioning part of your system, without them you would probably die or at least turn into a confused mess. I pretty much guarantee I could sense all your individual chakras one by one even those of you of think they have gone beyond them or unified them. When the energy goes out the top of the head it creates temporary samadhi like unified bliss consciousness, which isn't the same as awakening as awakening is about going in and through the heart. As per the way Ramana describes it anyway. Out the top of the head is temporary experience, through the heart permanent shift.
