  1. mco / kundalini rising

Indeed so. Kundalini rising is a extreme energetic experience! Mco is at least in the first years of practise a circulation of qi, not to be compared with kundalini. The difference is like betwean travelling by foot or by a space rocket! Perhaps in higher practises there are similarities, but I do not feel your question is raised at that level. F D
  2. Daoist Chinese Dictionary of Terms

I was talking about a similar idea a year or so ago, but did not get much response by then. I think this kind of tao wiki idea might be a wery beneficial project for all of us interested in taoism! F D
  3. This seems to be weired! That you want to stay with the sadness feeling. You have to look at the alternative, what do you mean by letting it go away, is that to just think you could just let it dissapear. If you just let it dissapear where is it then? If a bad emotion not is dealt with it will be stored in your body and it will make you out of ballance in another way. So maybe you have to be in the bad feeling for awhile to be able to let it go in a better way. It is actually through feeling it that it eventually will dissapear and that process is cyclical I think. What you have to do is to learn how to deal with it and not to let it take ower the whole you, to be able to feel sadness and anyway be able to function in some way and doing the good stuff in your life is perhaps the tricky part. And to know when you do best in letting go to the bad feelings completely to then later let it have less influence on you. This is not completed, just some associations in this moment... F D
  4. Who is trained in Micro Cosmic Orbit?

Mantak Chia's "Awaken healing light of the tao" and "Awaken healing energy through the tao" The first one "healing light" above is a masterpiece. F D
  5. David Deida

Hi I have read some of Deidas books, but it was a while ago. For me personally I'm not shore if I am a yang kind of man, so according to Deida I am not totally included in what he writes about. The thing is that I am not shore, I might be a yang kind of man also. Anyway to see the pressure woman puts you on as a test that is equivalent to how you deal with society might be a good way to challenge yourself. We should notice that Deida also writes that if your woman puts you out of ballance she realy helps you, beacase you will have to search for your center vision again. She does it when she feel that you are not following your path. For me that seems to be reasnable beacase woman have a mission to create the best possible environement for theire kids. And if they are able to help theire men to develope the best part of themselves and not just play around in an childlike way, theire husband will autumatically do theire best and create an environement that is good for theire children. But I feel also that the model Deida uses in most of hes books is all to simplified descripion of humans. I think that the description of woman testing the man is right in many situations, but it is not always that way. I also think that men would learn things if they try to follow the advises in Deidas books, to increase your awareness is a good thing. I feel that many things are missing in hes theories though and can't realy see that hes descriptions is more than a special situation. Anyway it is refreshing to read hem beacase the most voices about the genders comes from the feminists views that tend to be even more trapped in theire models of how the society in its structure is patriarchaly built. Then you always have the right to pity woman and not men apriory, which I feel is ridiculous. So Deida adds a model that is grounded in spirituality and that honour the good things that is inherent in masculine men and that so strongly needs to be upliftet after the ill treatment by so many feminists in our time. For me personally I should like hem to also write about relationships between more mixed hetero relationships where the male is not masculine or yang dominant and the woman not is feminine or yin dominant. Then perhaps hes somewhat rigid models should develope further. Conclusion I feel that David Deidas work is important in our time and that it is an important step of investigation of the good masculine male function and role in society. It is a somewhat simplified model that we have to develope further. It probably contains more truth than the most other popular believes system out therire for now and will evolve our relationships ans understunding for eachother to a new level. We will reach a new platform to climb much further from. The model he work with is somewhat mechanical. When he says that when your woman are critisising you she does it for a specifik reason to see how you are able to react to society. I do think it often is so, but women are much more complex beings than that and might have several reasons for theire reaction, sometimes built upon personal complexes and reasons. F D
  6. A Taoist Routine... HELP!

Hi Just get started with a practise that you like! To make it a daily routine migth take some time. The distractions and not focused mentallity you feel you have will dissapear. The reason for this is that some of the practises themself help you to be more focused and centered. Be patient to yourself. Let the process take its course. Don't have to much preconsived ideas about how your practise must be, it will form ower time. Keep in contact and good luck with your interest. F D

  10. Matters of the heart...

Hello Nice story. Yes the breathing exercises makes you more centered and you might get psychological effects and more ballanced emotions only after a short while with them. I think I'm also more ballnced since I started my practise sereal years ago. You will meet many people that not understund this kind of practises. Lao-tzu said that you should treate you practises as the most secret secret. Pehaps not to get bad feedback from people that not understund. Of course in your case the long time span of three years might it become easier and easier to not become emotional depending on hes behaviour, you will be more and more free from hem as time pas by. Being in jail, hmmm. Many people start theire practise as prisoners, it is one way of making the time you have with yourself full of meaning, perhaps you might be able to learn him some exercises? He sertainly have the time to practise. From my system the healing dao or the universal dao theire have been projects with prisoners to help them relieve some emotional problems and so. I didn't understund either you in your last words "curious so very curious"? Thanks for your story F D
  11. Yes absolutely. Perhaps the tea drinker didn't realy awakening kundalini either.
  12. When Best to Practice Chikung?

FInd the time that suit your schedule. There is alot of infromation of ideal time to practise. See it as such ideal time. To practise other times also work. If it is possible to you to practise on ideal time then do it ohterwise find the best time for yourself and do it that time. I should say that it probably is more important for you to work on a non shiftet time than it is to regulate you practise after ideal times. But I'm not an expert on this. F D
  13. Dan Tiens -- real or imaginary?

I personaly just feel energy in the tan-tien and have not developed anything as far as I know. But I think of this as a question of how you define things. I see it as working on layers. First you are not aware of anything special with the tan-tien then you can feel some energy there and later much energy there. You feel it as the center of your energy field. Perhaps when working further the tan-tien gets another more important role in the alchemical process and have special abilities to do sertain work, you have then opened up to another layer. As with the microcosmic orbit. You might be able to circulate energy there. You might be able to take up you Jing wich is a part of your kundalini power. You migth be able to take up more of you kundalinin power and you might be able to take up all or a big part of your kundalini power. You might be able to circulate the light in the mco and so on. It is still the microcosmic orbit but you can open it up to higher and highter experiences. So if we say we have a tan-tien it is true for all if we just mean the imporance of that energy center in the body. If we on the other hand define the tan-tien as the exlixir field with special capabilities then it has to be opened up or developed to a certain degree before we can name it the tan-tien. I think we can call it the tan-tien without meaning that it should be opened up or developed to a sertein level. Becase if we put a extreme demand on it we have to call it for something else when it not is developed. According to me it is better to always call it the tan-tien and then specify how developed it is. Or to emphasis the development with another name like the functioning dan-tien, when it is opened up and realy function as the elixir field. F D

  22. I'm going to give a college lecture tomorrow on Taoism

I also think the first chapter of tao the ching is greate. It opens for much discusison. To talk about basics in TKM is also greate. For this people. What realy would be interesting for them to hear something about might also be the bedroom arts. connected to jing, qi and shen as you said. And of course why not have them to try some basic qigong, Pehaps a standing moving exercise with relaxation, a part of the inner smile with theory on the organs, and an exercise with rubbing the hands and trying to feel the qiball. Nothing can explain qi better then feeling it! F D
  23. Need Advice On Starting A Taoist/Buddhist Center/Group.

Hello I think your energy have taken another turn. In the other thread, excuse me, you did not realy want to see any opurtunities, I stoped reading it after a while though. In this you have found something that for the moment looks like a solution. To work on this plane will give you much. You will be connecting to people with similar goals and intterests as yourself. You will be doing things in the world that you like. This will be a project as good as anything else, as good as a job. It is a vision to work for. Something that might give your outer life a meaning. Since you are willing to live on low standard there is much you migth be able to accomplish if you are patient. This plane will not allow you to be free from the outer world and just meditate, you will have to work hard to accomplish this, but the hard work might be fun to! I would recomend you a book. I think its name is money love by Gillies Good luck with your ideas, look and see if they are possible to accomplish
