well that was interesting I know a girl that work in that area. She is also quite handsome and flirty! so there is a risk that the fontanelle?, the suture that is open in the crown at babis, will crack . This I will try in the near future! Thanks. With the risk of the end of my celibacy I guess. F D
  2. Beginning Taoist Practices

Hello From todays practise of the nose gasing: Today I felt like a stream of energy going from the tip of the nose towards the bump and perhaps also into the third eye. I did not feel much, but I did feel like there was a potential of much energy to come going up the nose. Difficult to explain, but it felt like something big is going on, the stream upward. F D

  4. Beginning Taoist Practices

Hello I am also doing this meditation on the nose, since a few days. I have noticed a few things. First of all it is easier for me to do it than before. I can do it with or without my glasses. If doing it without my glasses I have to not focus on the tip, not see it clearly, beacase I have wery different streanght in the my glass to the two eyes. Instead I look in the rigth direction and not focus with the eyes on the nose, but focus mentally on the nose, and seeing it blury. This is the way I most often do this. I feel some energy going up to the bridge and also into the third eye. After awhile I do follow my atention to the bridge and those times I have felt energy there I focus my atention to the energy. There is also some nice vibration and the third eye. I have also felt energy going down the front channel to my navel and I think towards the tan-tien. Somtimes I do not feel much at all, but perhaps a stabilisising, on my mind, efect. Sometimes I have felt wery sleepy and after some minutes with this meditation I had to sleep for about 2 hours in the midle of the day, wich isn't unusual in my condition, but peraps the noce gasing did let me feel how sleepy I was. By the way: Thanks Eric for the advices on the other thread. I have added your suggested exercises to my daily routine of practise. Except perhaps not being a slave to routine , but I think I do it enough freely in some sence also. I wrote some comments on that thread. Feel free to answer or not answer them. As I see it you have already helped me. I will try to participate in this noce gasing with the other. Perhaps also suggest the other in my yoga group to try this. F D

Hello. I did get by burn out condition before I was a practioner. So I don't see the practise as a cause. On the contrary it has actually helped me. Especially the deep abdominal breathing. I have also been to an acupuntrurist and soon I will also consult hes wife who is wery good at herbs in the traditional chinese medicine way. FD

Perhaps a bit out of topic, but related to the eyes anyway. I am 42 years old and starting to need some reading glases. Do somebody know any good exercises that relaxes the muscles around the eyes that makes the linse in the eye work better, or as it does when you are younger. (Not finding the right words in English here but still I think everybody know what I mean ) Fire Dragon By the way I have tried the gasing at the tip of the nose a litle bit but I have still some problems with it, but it is to early to make any conclusions jet. Shall try some more times.
  9. Mixing the 5 Elements in the Dantien

Hello Vortex: Yes rather complicated but anyway quite easy to do. My explanation is a rather shortened description, the full version is in Yudeloves book, just to say don't practise from my explanation, there is not all nessecarily details in it. It was just a short description. But perhaps everybody understunds that Fire Dragon

This is not my reply on the advices they come later, it is something I wrote from todays practise with fusion on the five elements, and is from that thread. But it is also a part of Yudeloves teaching so I add it in this thred to. Fire Dragon
  11. Mixing the 5 Elements in the Dantien

Hello I have just started this practise according to the way Yudelove teaches it in the book "taoist yoga and sexual energy". I realy like it. And yes it is the start of the fusion of the five elemets, at least it it the start in the way Yudelove teaches it. I realy like this practise. Feel a tremendous peace after doing it, well at least some peace. I have just been practising it for about two weaks. The practise is about this. Inner smile all three paths Create a pakua around the tan tien Take one organ at a time and do the six healing sound, make the color of the organ flow through and around the organ, move the energy to the organs specifik collection point. After you have done all five organs Rotate the yin/yang in the pakua and have the most of your focus there and take into the yin/yang energies from four of the organs, and mix them toghether so that they are ballancing eachother. Green is warm and moist white is cool and dry black or blue is cold red is warm Take in as much from each of them from theire colection point and rotate and mix the qualities together and are trying to feel which one you need more of to ballance the energy. So if the energy is to warm you mix in a bit black and so on. After awhile the energy seems to be soft and either hot or cold or moist or dry. This is the time in which you rotate in the energy from the front and the back pakua and then from the left and the rigth and at last from the upper and lower pakua, every time you feel the midle of your tan-tien and in the end you create the pearl there. Which you later takes out to the navel and rotate in the makro or micro cosmic orbit. and at last you take it in from the ming men point in the back and put it in the tan tien again. rotate energy around the navel and collect it in the tan tien. Something like that, and so far I realy like it. Good to if it creates some extra medicin energy in the tan tien. Fire Dragon PS another comment on this in the yudeloves teaching thread from todays practise. No I write it amidiately instead. Today on my way home from work, which takes 2 hours by bus and train. I did feel unusually much bad energy in the lungs. It was like the enegies there were hurting the lungs a bit. They were sticky so to say and there were surtain areas that realy was clegged or sticky. The advice from Yudelove is to do the six healing sound at least three times for each sound. This time I had to continue for perhaps 20 sounds and was burping alot, but had to hinder it to beacase I sat on the but, with alot of people around me. I had done the six healing sound many times but it is wery unusual to feel such a bad energys in any organ. Well I feel bad energis in the organs but I think wery seldom this much. I wounder if the new practise might have started some kind of reaction. Perhaps I am on my way to be intuned with some actual problems that had been there for along time but I never before had notices it so much as I did today? Fire Dragon

Hello E S Yudelove and thanks for your excellent explanations. Two further questions arises to my mind one personal and one of general interest. Question one: I have done some practises in the White Tigress system from Hsi Lais books. One of the practises is to concentrate on a point behind and a bit up in the middle between the eyes. In this practise you put your eyes in the direction to the nose, but put your concentration inward to the point behind your eyes I mentioned. What happened to me when I did this for 20 minutes about 2 times a day, was that a light started to flash as pulses in the point, I think. What also happened was that I had some important dreams about my ancestors, where I got information about how they lived there lives and which problems they had and how therire society looked like. It was in a time before my grandfathers and grandmothers and probably from my grandfathers side I thougth. Later I get curious about what had happened and I try to see something in the litterature about the point. The point was cauld the original cavity in Hsi Lais book, but it is called the ancestors hall in the book by Charles Luk the mentioned "Taoist Yoga" My question is: What is the difference to stare at the nose and put your concentration between your eyes, as I belive was written in your post, and to put your concentration on the original cavity? Are the effect similar or are there any big differences. By the way I have started a internet course with Hsi Lai, even though it not is running for the moment. My second question: This question is related to this part in your answer: " and will lead to an increased ability to concentrate "on the lower abdomen area, cultivating the positive fire." " and to a personal health issue. My text got realy long so I put the short wersion question directly instead of at the bottom: I have an extreme cold intollerance and fatigue since 10 years ago. I connect it to the adrenals and to low yang qi in the kidneys. For me it looks like cultivating the positive fire in the tan-tien could be a solution to my problem. I'm not realy shore how to put my question, but I guess what I am after is the in your oppinion rigth way to continue my practise or which methods seemse to be the right way to increase my heat in the body. Or at least if those methods cultivating the positive fire does also increase the heat in the body, which I believe I have heard they do. One of the problem with the practise seems to be that it generate heat and Mantak Chia write alot of this, but my problem is the opposite and there is realy not much written about that. This question is of wery big interest for me and I would be pleased with any answer helping me one step even though just a small step further in my continuosly struggle with my health. I understand if you or somebody else can't give me a complete answer without examining me, but general ansers might also be a greate help. My own list of possible solutions is: Fusion of the five elemets seems promising Iron shirt Healing love with a woman, I have lived in celibacy almost the whole time practising in the system Ballancing heart and kidneys Breathing into the waist ... I would be wery pleased if you as a Master could point out any particular direction that might be helpful for my condition. From the litle I know or think I haved grasped about the taoist yoga theory I think I have understood that: The cultivation of the positive fire in the tan-tien seems to me to be a starting point in the practise that let other things happening. This positive fire creates the enough energy to let prosseses begin. More I don't dare to write about this. Sincerely Fire Dragon ________________________________________________________________________________- The longer story: In my life I am trying to find a solution or solutions to one major health issues I have been working with for about 1o years. I've got a burned out condition. Two of my major symtomes was extreme cold intollerance, and I mean realy extreme, it was so extreme that I could have choosen to kill myself instead of going true its torture. Related to this there was also a huge fatigue. Anyway I'm not writing this for pitying myself. I write this beacase I'm curious about if the taoist yoga or qigong is able to heal my condition. So everytime I hear about something that can make you warmer, I listening carefully. I have for instance tried iron shirt, but have always have had difficulties with this practise. It is better now since I started in Yudeloves "Taist yoga and sexual energy". My problem with this practise was that I also get dissy and couldn't stand for long. Also everytime I have tried to start the iron shirt practise I have find wery many excuses for not practising it. ,bu still working on it form time to time and will start again now when my new group starts practising from the mentioned book. I have also been working lately on ballancing the fire in the heart and the water in the kidneys wich seems to have a wery positive effect on me. I have also started to add some daily practises working on the kidneys, like the following: Which adds up to my other more free practise during the day Testicle breathing or testicle massage Retention Yudeloves 8 brocade: Grasping the toes with both hands to reinforce the kidneys Chi self massage: On the kidneys and the ears (Yudeloves and Chias method) Four squares breathing into the waist and hips The lotus flower meditation (From Chias Tao Yin program), I love this one Toghether with moderation with cofe and internet porn. This is a new program I started just a few dais ago to trying to steanghtening my kidneys in the long run and perhaps have a change to deal with my fatigue. Somewhere in my mind I'm shore that the yoga practises has the key to my health problem. Ironically one thing that helped me the most was the first thing I ever tried in the Universal Tao system. I did start my practise the year 1999 from Chias first book: "Awaken Healing energy through the tao". This was in the period when my health was a complete mess. The program starts with 100 breaths into the stomach. I had tremendous problems from the start to even do 20. After about 4 months of daily practise I could with wery much effort reach about 80. I was wery frustrated and wanted to continue in the book with the microcosmic orbit. Some days I realy tried hard to reach 100 breaths and forced myself day after day, but never accomplished. One day I was wery close and did sweat alot and went extremely dissy but managed to go to 97 and every further breath was tremendously difficult, at about 99 or 100 there was an explossion a realy hard and burning explosion in my navel. I nearly fainted and was lying on the couch for hours afterwards. This thing opened somewhat up my tan-tien that was probably completely blooked and I started to get energy in my life and a few months after this episode was able to work part time and about a year after this on half time. Today I am still on half time but on my way to 75% working capacity. My diagnosis done by a TCM acupunturist in my town is. Lack of general yang qi. Lack of yang qi in the kideys and some disturbance in the nervous system and the intestines. Yang qi in the kidneys is closely connected to the adrenals, which Is my new western diagnosis I am working with for the moment. ______________________________________________________________________________-- END

Hello Steven Yudelove Thanks for your comments. Didn't know that it was so important. But it fits wery good for me to try this practise out againg, beacase I am starting a new group practising from your book "100 days...". So this time I will do it more sincerely. One of my problems is that I wear glasses and that the streangth (don't know if you say so in English, but I mean the power of the glass) in my glasses for the left eye is much stronger than for the right. Another problem perhaps the more important one is that I see wery badly with my left eye even with glasses. The reason for this is that I got glasses to late when I was a kid and the left eye never did develope as it should. So the right eye is totaly dominant and what is seen whith the left eye is almost totaly uncounsious. So when doing this nose gasing practise this problem makes things a bit funny. The brain goes between seing with the left and the right eye, mostly with the right but for short times with the left, and the things I see with the left eye is as they where smaller beacase I see less good with that eye. So the nose is shifting betwean being a big nose and a small nose and it is realy quite anoing. I've remember that I read in that chapter about the same things that you write to me here, but beacase of my personal problem with the eyes I come to the conclusion that this particular practise not suits me wery well. Perhaps I was wrong, still not completely shore. It would be interesting to know if you still see it as good for me to practise this after my explanation of my eye weakness on the left eye. It would also be of big interest to know why you see this practise as a wery important part of a persons development in the Universal tao practises or Tao Magick as I believe you call your or have had called your practise. Is it for instance possible to exchange the eye gasing practise with other practises that also stills the mind? I guess not, beacase you emphasis the importance of this. Look forward to hear your comments of this particular practise and I will also start to experiment with it a bit further. Your garden seems to be a wery relaxing and harmonious place, I liked the frog! A bit scarry with the strange physical laws though With regards Fire Dragon

Try not to use porn enymore. I know it is difficult, I have an issue with it myself. Try to find your rythm of ejacualtions. Try not to ejaculate untill you have a spontanous hard erection and notice how long time it take to get there after an ejaculation. This will give you a hint on how often it is good for you to ejaculate. Try to hold this phase. There is alot of other methods to streanghten your Jing in the book "The sexual teaching of the JADE DRAGON". But the book is about a quite controversial sexual practise, but there are alot of easy methods you can do to streangthen your Jing or sexual energy. You can also check which type of sperm you have and change your eating habits to get more JING and more healhy sperm, which also streangthening JING. If you not are to weak, try to exercise regularly. Eat well and nourisching food. Try some easy things from the book to begin with to streangthening your JING. Check your energy level and health with a TCM acupunturist. Eat some of the herbs mentioned in the book. Try but not together with the herbs to do the virgin boy practise, which is to not masturbate and not ejaculate for 100 days, and not looking at porn during that time either. This is some suggestions. And good luck! Fire Dragon

Hello I have heard that it is a missunderstunding also and that it is just to direct the eyes in a particular direction. Actually in my white tigress practise, that I not practise for the moment, there it was such a description but the focus was on the original cavity behind the eyes. I do not like that part of Yudeloves practise, to stare at points and the nose. Probably beacase I have glases with different streanght on both eyes and that this kind of staring at the nose, makes me feel diccy. If I want to still my mind I rather like to focus on the tan-tien. Actually in Yudeloves practise you also stare at the bump of the nose which is half way down the nose, at the point where the bone in the nose stops. And you focus on the third eye with closed eyes also. Perhaps the practise works differently and is a ok practise for stilling the mind. If it have worked for Yudelove it might work for others as well, a missinterpration or not. I think it is desctibed in the book "taoist yoga" (not by Yudelove) and perhaps it is in that book that it is explained as a missinterpration. I do not remember from where I have heard it but that migth be a sorce. Unfortunately it seems like we have lost Mr Yudelove from this board otherwise this might have been an interesting topic to discuss with him! I do not like it anyway and doesn't use it more than together with my yoga group from time to time, when we follow Yudelove, but I tell the others that I not like that part of the practise; so I find no personal reason to contact him on this particular question on the given email adrass. I save that for more personal important stuff to later. Fire Dragon

Hello, today I am starting the practise of fusion the five elements into the front pakua and draw in and mix and ballance four of them. Starting to feel how to draw in more of one or the other element to ballance the energy that is spiraling around. Not grasping it but rather starting to feel something different happens when I take from the different elements. Quit all rigth after just two days trials. Fire Dragon

Some additional notes: The second book is more like nei-gong where you need to fokus more directly on the energy. There is also alot iron shirt stances in the second book. In the first book many of the exercises are to move your body and let the qi follows. For some that is easier. For others it is actually easier to just concentrate on the energy directly and work with that. This distinction is not absolute but there is a clear tendency towards much more nei gong in the second book. Fire Dragon

Hello Sorry to hear that it sounds that you two are leaving, I hope I am wrong though. I want to thank you for your sharing of your life from today. I enyojed to see the photos of you your wife and your animals and to hear something about your life. It was also good to hear you say something about the story in the newspaper, beacase that have been about the only information about your life accesible on the internet. Anyway I have been interested in what realy happened and did write about it before, actually that question was what brougth me to tao-bums in the first place. Here I might get some answers about my question on that article someone told me. Anyway what realy happened or not happened is not of any interest for me anymore. It is much more interesting to see that you seem to live a happy life and that you are back and willing to share with others things about your life. I'm sorry if people on the tao bums have behaved in a rude and somewhat unmatured way. I myself should enjoy wery much if you prefered to stay with us on this bord. It should be interesting to share with my and my groups development in your system and to also speak with sparkle about her practise in the system. Especially interesting with a woman practising this and also to follow her and compare here development with our own also to see the importance of having a good teacher nearby to learn from. I also think that there is alot rubish going on in the way as you did desctibe in your own post. There is to much of critisism of other system going on, I agree with that. Perhaps there always will be contradictions betweean different ways of teaching taoist practises and other energy works. There seems to be fundamental difference in how different system build up and develope theire, what to say, progress. But perhaps I know to litle to speak about that. Often I guess it seems to be different roads to the same end goal. As I have said before I am happy to have heard from you and from Sparkle and to see that you are alive and are living your life. Perhaps it is possible for you to enjoy the good posts and parts from the tao-bums and from time to time continue to visit us and share with us from your life, practise and knowledge. Perhaps it is possible to let the storm pass by and not to not contribute with posts that are not developing anything, to just ignore that part. But if you not want to I have full respect for your decissions. I which you to a continuous happy marriage and good Jing, chi and shen Fire Dragon

Hello Today I started a new group practisisng together from "100 days...". Well it is only two new men practising from that book, but we are also four people practisisn from "taoist yoga and...". I have also changed to do use the color black with the kidneys and it feel better. Well it is easier for me to find the right black than the right blue for me. I also think that one problem with both Mantak Chias and Yudeloves and perhaps also Winns practises is that theire is to much things to do that easily makes things driven by force instead of making things go by them selves. Isn't this a part of the difference between a yin aproach to practise and a yang aproach. I like that Yudelove and Winn, I've heard have added moving chigong to the practises. Like the eight peaces of the brocade. Where you do the movements and let the energy go by itself, not doing it by concentration of the Yi mind. That kind of simplicity is good for the beginner and also for the more advanced practioner I guess. I practise often on my 2 hour bus ride to work. And more and more often I do more and more breathing into the dan-tien or more rightly in and out to the dan-tien visualising a the tan-tien as a face also breathing. I like to do this kind of easy practises for a long time and before I do other practises like the testicle breathing, mco, and the pearl in fusion and others. I have also been doing some practises from the white tigress system according to Hsi Lai and in one of it's sitting eight peaces of the brocades theire were alot emphasize on sitting and breathing and sitting and stilling the mind. This practises I found to be a good complement to the practises I do from Yudeloves books. I should also say that everytime I go back to the practises from "taist yoga and..." I always am wery surprised that they are so greate. I realy love doing them. Fire Dragon
