  1.

If your channels were open 18 years ago , are you having these expiriences all along with orbit and third eye ? If yes how comes and what is it that you do not understand than as mentioned in original post , the odd timing or ?
I seem to be misunderstanding something ..
Anyway it is always good to hear about peoples expiriences .

  2. This past months I have been waking up around 4am in the morning and usually finding myself to have completed the micro-cosmic orbit or in some state of samadhi. The chi is illuminating in my third eye and my whole body is having some sorts of micro-vibrations. It is interesting but don't know what it really means. Anyway, just something I observed with my cultivation process...

Deeper daily practise is (goes vice versa as well) reaches deeper layers of what makes you you and naturally extends in the sleep as well and sleep becomes less of a "dead" unconcious phase .

4am could be a newly formed habit or something to do with your body clock ..

Entering the darkness of sleep reveals what sleep is and how interrelated waking and sleeping states are .

  3. It is crazy that our current science has only investigated about 1% of the properties of the medicinal plants of the Amazon, yet they look for all their answers from synthetic medicines made in a lab.

Yes it is crazy , but at the same time maybe very lucky too ....

Imagine if science proved long time ago the potency of healing plants from Amazon and there was no law existing that protects indigenous medicinal knowledge . Predating big pharma would maybe already be cashing up on it big time and " lungs of the world" would maybe be taking their last breath .

This would have a potential to result worst case scenario on the large scale .

Some worth mentioning good stuff is happening about biopiracy -- protection of indigenous medical knowledge now though :

  4. The part which impressed me, was the willingness to give up everything (including comfy clothing) and live in the cremation grounds for 12 years, to become closer to their deities! I have a student who left to, for the second time, spend the rest of his life in a monastery in prayer non-stop. While I couldn't do either of these things, I have much respect for such devotion, in whichever way it is practiced.

Honestly though, I'd be the one with the REI sleeping bag if my teacher told me to go to charnel grounds... ;).

OK I get you now .

However just meditation or qigong at cemetary , why not maybe one day ? I do love challenege and testing level of detachment . I am not saying I wouldnt be scared though ..:) or that I would not run away if worst comes to worst :D.

Have spent about 3 months doing practise at this place at the edge of one village with burning grounds just some meters to the right near garden . None ever wanted to buy that place for long time becouse of taboo and fear of spirits and ghosts , but I never had any expirience with them whatsoever while there .

Anyway some of the stuff you have mentioned sounds interesting , what do(did) you do Voodoo ? Or ? ( sorry , dont even know wherther you are willing to share ..)

    Much respect for them.

With politness I must state that -- I generally do not have too much respect for them .The documentary is interesting to watch however .

Very rarley people can pull this sadhana off IMO .

This sadhana involves even eating human flesh in some cases .. The problem arises that most do not master fundamentals of DETACHMENT accompanied with COMPASSION under all circumstances and often loose their mind to a degree or totally or /and end up involved in black arts harming themselves and others .

It often attaracts people in search for exotic and looking for something cool and different and of course it does arouse a sort of dangerous curiosity and they end up messed up .

It seems old fashioned in some ways and not the fast way as they often say , could be wrong so am open to criticism .

I really like the idea of working with specific organs/chakras.

Here is a link for Robert Waggoner s Lucid dreaming emagazine . On the page 10 is an interesting story about a woman healing herself in the lucid dream and not having to undergo operation as a concenquence . There are many such

    testemonies .

    http://dreaminglucid.com/issues/LDE58.pdf

I did some MCO's in my dreams last night, it was pretty neat :).

I've had Bagua circle walking dreams before where I woke up with sore legs lol, haven't had one in ages though.

I really need to write every dream down, I have found that this brings about far more lucid dreams.

It is interesting how interconnected dream /sleep and waking states are ! So much more depth than to popular common belief of what dreams are .

What we take for unshakable reality is a joke .

  7. (answer to Sky dogs last post that was not directed to me :D)

I do not know who are you refering too , but can tell this is possible from personal expirience . It is possible to have very deep meditation expirience , even lasting for a while , get amazing knowledge , but not embody it constantly .

Morever deep meditation expiriences do not necessary equate personal transparency and interconnectedness and elegant way of being .

And yes, if it's more than 'my neurosis fits in perfectly with your neurosis'.. if it's falling in love.. then its a mixture of this ...along with non psychological resonance.

    ...

I have recently read an intersting saying by Bushman on this

    "Anger attracts ,

    love transformes ."

As well as remeber reading Yogini Machig Labrdon who says (do not quote exactly -- along the lines of ) that it is actualy our demons who are eager to enter in the battle with each other when getting attracted to someone ..Which is not necesssary pessimistic point of view , becouse in order to become more transparent we need to be put against some situation or another . Like polishing a dimond .

How does Tao fit in with intimate relationships? How can you love someone on all levels without getting addicted or possessive? It does not make sense logically, yet evolutionarily, it seems humans are wired to want sex and love, and the addiction to sex and love gets us addicted to people as a side-effect.

    ...

You are clearly being shown what to refine and work with , you seem know it already .

Being human is not a matter being purley logical . No , no -- there are inner hurricanes , earthquakes , frozen lakes , deserts ,wild fires etc. -- the whole universe ..that makes us who we are .

Anyway she sounds nice , good luck to you both !

Where does the rubber meet the road... here, in this thread???

Do we want to try our attempt at 24/7 or just talk about it???

    HERE IS MY CHALLENGE:

Who wants to try to do 24/7 energy arising awareness?

If the OP doesn't like this angle, let me know and I'll stop...

But I am game to participate and lay down the game rules as one needs this to ensure some safety....

How do you invision this ?

I would possible be up for it , I love challenges of this kind  .

  11. It seems now more and more people, especially as part of the "new-age", are advocating focusing on the heart-center, "living in the heart", breathing through the heart, and overall address it the same way as us Taoist cultivators address the lower Tan Tien.

    ...

In many traditions focusing on the heart is not necessary the same as Taoist focusing on LDT and storing energy there .

It is usually a different practise all together . Spiritual work and paths can be very different although sounding similar .

All Sufi literature is full of talk about Heart ,however Sufis do not necessary breathe through the heart or similar but pray God with that loving feeling in the heart . Paying attention to what is happening there . That is what the emphasis is on , to invoke that feeling that is familiar to all of us and let it take over . When we fall in love there is a feeling in the heart , right ?

Teacher I have learned Yogic practises from , told to pay attention to heart and what goes on in there . This is very different than storing energy or focusing on heart . He would say that there is "lower" and "higher " heart energetically speaking . The "lower" one is worldly love , jeleousy ,anger, spitefulness and when that is refined a shining heart comes through and the inside of practicioner lits up .

My Capoeira teacher tells me to play from the heart all the time . He does not mean to store energy there or concentrate on some spot in the heart , but I feel what he means .

I agree with what is said in other posts (and some really good stuff has been shared ) that it can be harmful to mindlesly focus on some part of body and also that focus changes as life goes on .

  12. "The Secret History of the World" by Mark Booth is the one I'm reading right now, and it's got some worthy information, though it is more of an appetizer than a main dish... Concurrently I'm reading a book I chanced upon at a used books store, a 19th century Rosicrucian astrology (more like astro-theology), and the two may have blended together somewhat in my mind... but I'll recommend that other one if I find it worthy (and if you can find it), I've just started this one and don't know yet.

Rock n roll , thanks , just ordered one on Amazon for 0.01 pence ! Sounds interesting ..
