  1. Curious to hear what you people here think .

Article about girl marrying dog invoked a train of thoughts on this today ..

Everything is subject to change .

What about traditions ( spiritual ) ? Is it better if they move with times and are altered ? At what point is this best recgonised ? Would you be able to recgonise it ?

Does a tradition that has been unchanged stagnate ? Is there a totally unchanged tradition ?

Should taboos be broken ? Or is there deep wisdom embodying taboos that shoud not be tempered with ? All taboos or just some ?

What is a relationship between traditions and taboos ?

  2. What about western supremacy syndrom , obssesion with technology and consumerism ,destroying the earth and having a mental/emotional age as general population of not even a teenager ?

Is this not an illness and disease of sort that is destroying lifes on so many levels ?

Just look at what people eat these days , privatisation of water GMO crops , new born mothers are being advised not to breast feed ...etc -- from which "spots" does this come from ? This is very dark indeed .

How balanced and healthy is that ?

So we are not in any superior position , dont see any higher vibes in here .

  3. I saw what he is doing and thought to myself -- only in Inida ( well , at least in this way ).

If you watch this video he explains a bit about his work and background , it is interesting .

Yoga and /or tantra in many shapes and forms is still very present in India , and many family lines preserve it , also mostly everyone learns to meditate at some point . (This does not of course implies that everyone is spiritual or something , just stuff is more accesible and not considered so unusual )

  4. thanks for the link,

maybe its just me, but imo as long as one is alive one will need an "ego" to function

im yet to meet a person with no ego and i dont think it will ever happen

    just my opinion though

i dont believe in 100% egoless human either :) and hardly ever use the word myself .

However I find Machig Labrdon really inspiring , and wonder if the word ego is often a too rigid translation for many teachings .

  5. I don't look at it as demons or thought forms being "merely in our own heads."

Manifestations, be they thought forms, demons, external forms, whatever…. arise from and return to the same base as displays of the Natural State, as do we.

Or as Machig Labrdon herself said :

As long as there is an ego, there are demons.

When there is no more ego,

There are no more demons either!

This is an interesting short video to watch

  6. I was of that school, many many years ago- who believed in what you say.

Are the chakras spinnning- vertically or horizontially?

    Clockwise or counterclockwise?

Do they reverse if one lives in Australia?

Does the back chakras reverse from the front?

    Colours? Sounds? How many?

Do the poles spin vertically or horizontially?

What happened here was, I was LIMITING myself.

Trying to fit it all in a nice comprehenible package.

Inside a box, clearly marked with what I thought was Scripture.

Then I realized I AM JUST ONE GLOWING CHAKRA!

Then it all came together for me. :)

Yes I have had same expirience and think you may be looking at me through glasses that are coloured by your own past .

I have never actually thought of questions that you proposed or alluded I was thinking and I am glad you have stopped limiting yourself in that respect .

As the matter of fact I do not really care about chakras , or think about them . Maybe I used to 10 years ago .

I was just discussing technicalities which may or may not be important depending where the person is at , that is all .

  7. I will have to say here for all general disbilievers out there( no one specific ) , that I am very sceptical if someone who consider themselves to be serious cultivator and has no idea what their dreams are about and how they connect to waking life .

Further more sceptical if someone is not at least sometimes awake/aware to some degree within dream as this is just natural continuation of being aware during waking state .

  8. If you examine the spine, with all the nerves, etc weaving in and out- it's a Fabric of chakras- maybe millions.

    Thus- ONE Unified Chakra

samething with "the third eye"= all in Unison..

    - with clairaudience- do we get a "third ear" or telepathy a "2nd mouth"..?

    ONE Unified Field.

Energy Swirls- SPIRALS- thus Chakra= Wheel- spinning etc

All many tools inside One ToolBox :)

    ----------

The numbering of chakras came from the ancients as they discovered the 7 planets.

also taking into account -the sound/music scale, light colour/spectrum- etc

    Beware the NewAgey mumbojumbo$

    Hey :) ,

the feeling of union in Ajna chakra is becouse councioussnes does not indetify with elements , it is in "vacuum".

Yeh many tools in one tool box .

The numbering of chakras is very large -- as there is so many nadis in the body and not just major ones ida and pingala where major chakras are situated . This is def not new age mumbo jumbo , quite the opposite actually . Will provide link for scripture if found .

7 main ones -- becouse they have largest role in governing the human body .

  9. Frozen- I once strained all the muscles, ligaments etc, in my throat and jaw from trying to talk/yell/scream lol as a child.

Best thing to do is either go with it- explore etc

or remain calm and move your finger toe etc

Welcome to the Immortals -you have viewed what life after death entails with your vehicle :) - though even here- some people may tell you that you're hyper delusional ;)

Yes best go with it and it can be actually very pleasent expirience as well , so good feeling .

But generally I want to sleep and be uncounciouss and rested especially if have to work the day after .

Anyone can tell me that I am hyper delusional and new age and not scientific -- could not care less . There so much more to life than what is scientifically accepted .

However addmitingly , there are some things regarding different personal expiriences I need little deeper insight and more clarity to understand properly ...

  10. SOG i had same expirience like you -- so often , since childhood . Infact I have learned at early age to wake myself up by caughing so that it does not continue , as it used to scare me when little . Noone could explain it to me and my mum was worried and helpless .

Sometimes as soon as I would lay down my body would freeze , still today I wake myself in middle of night and have to stay up for like 5 min , just sit up or get a glass ofwater or piece of fruit to make myself heaveier so that I dont just "float off" .

After becoming an adult and doing meditation I understood all what was happening .

  11. chakras = are metaphoric aids: to express ganglions/nexus energy convergence

    ----------

focus with intent anywhere on your body and you will find one

    knee hand earlobe etc anywhere

Yes I agree becouse chakras are created where nadis/pranic channels meet , and there is many of them , sorry forgot all these numbers , but will look it up and post back if find an interesting material . So basically chakras are MANY , but its the main ones in the spinal cord that are most glamorous and know by many .

  12. I'm with manipur for LDT.

There are just too many techniques that focus and build energy in manipur, {and treat it as a battery) that in some cases are identical to many taoist LDT filling exercises. Sure the channels and centers have differing conceptions, in Taoist or Hindu thought, and what they do with the energy differs as well, and even their theories on the purpose of the center, but the base mechanic is build energy in the belly region, and from there use it this way or that...

Also just to confuse things further, there are Daoist practices that work with the LDT by focusing on the navel.

As for the kunda, different texts place it in all kinds of crazy areas throughout the body, and one places it a bit below navel level, in the core of the body... LDT position...

lol. As much as specifics change across traditions, the general or base ideas are often quite similar...

The way I percieve it from personal expirience ( it wont sound very scholary ) that when my navel area started to relax , there was a definite shift in my practise which in turn resulted in energetic shift and shift of insight and mental well being . As if a gate of freshness opened up .... but feel LDT spinning slightly below .

As we all differ slightly physically and mentally , so there are slight or bigger differences on astral and causal level or ... some insights need to crystilze further ( mine ones sure do ) . However it is interesting to find out peoples opinions about this .

  13. Hi suninmyeyes, I don't mind at all and always appreciate the conversation. I would agree that from the perspective of the body, it can feel like their are chakras. Also, many "translate" the percieved flows in their mind as such chakras. But, the concept is more something learned from various traditions. That is why different tradtions have endless number of differing numbers of chakras (7, 5, 3, 12...) or some traditions like Buddhism never experience them at all. As clarity is "increased", the chakras seem to integrate and merge and ultimately collapse into sort of a unified field. At the body level, it feels like every cell (or atom) is a chakra or vibrating. The unified field is a more accurate representation of "you". We are kind of like "clogged" unified fields. Broader opening can happen from any location in the percieved body, which is why different traditions talk about kundalini starting form different locations. Finally, I would agree that the body is connected to the planets. Ultimately the "body" is a mapping to all that exists. What people call a "light body" is actually such a mapping. The greater the clarity, the broader the mapping to all of existence. Best wishes.

Hey :) , just to be pain in the a** and a Fake Chakra Justice Boss

-- Buddhism does actually have practises that work with chakras . To make clear information .

There are some differences in teachings and approach varying from schools to schools .

So just saying all this becouse there is so many people ( even on TTB ) who misunderstand these concepts and have imaginary problems with chakras and dont even get what they are saying .
