  1. Chinese Dragons

Dragons used to live on this planet long time ago, but this race got evolved and moved on from this plane, just like the Blue race and Mayan civilization.
  2. Refuge in the waste land

We stoped being conscious of what we are doing. If we can give all our live being to just one task we are doing, an ordinary world turns into a magical place, and a simple bread and water into a luxury.
  3. The origins of Humans thread

You also forgot to mention other 2 races that lived on Earth: blue and green.
  4. Lol, I was actually thinking of using the 'pebbles' example to respond to you. Yes, as long as you see it as skillful means you are ok. I'm not strong enough to see it this way. Not sure what kind of experiences you had so far with OBE but there are quiet a few things that will blow your mind off (sometimes in a good way). Robert Monroe is an excellent example of sidetracking with OBE on a spiritual path. Most people I knew who could do OBE were addicted to it and thought this was IT. This government is heavy into OBE research. Just try to get to the Pre-zen-dent while out of body (one must be really stupid to do that) and you will see for yourself what kind of protection he has.

If we are on a spiritual path, we may eventually develop compassion toward all sentient beings. Then we will try to find a more peaceful way to resolve confrontation, or if it's unavoidable, disable our opponent with the least harm to himself. This is the next step we may need to take in our MA training- more mature and responsible, so to speak.
  6. Dusum Khyenpa reached enlightenment WHILE doing dream yoga, not because of it. You can read more about all the training he had here: http://www.kagyu-asia.com/l_kar1.html
  7. Randy vs. Chuck 3

Like I told you, he is doing some internal stuff- look at his belly and the way he punches. It looks slow and sloppy but feels like you just hit a wall. Give him a year more and he will be unstopable. Thanks for the link.

No one said one should worry about courts. One should worry about their anal virginity in prison though.
  9. If you practice meditation, OBE and all the other weird things related to sleep will happen on it's own. It's fun at first, but then you don't pay much attention to it. Astral sex could be interesting though. Also traveling back in time or in the 'future'. Or to other worlds. Imagine trying to get back into the body of yourself when you were 9 y.o. and then realizing the body is too small, and upon getting back to the present body, remembering the events from the past related to the present OBE and also realizing the reasons why the whole thing happend. Thank God I didn't become addicted to this. I call this Spiritual Entertainment.

From all the MA I've practiced, Aikido i believe is the most practical for today's world. Why do I say that? Because if you get caught after using TFT, you go to jail because your opponent is either dead or crippled. He will sue the shit out of you and he will win, even though he was the real agressor. Aikido neutralizes the attack in the most peaceful way with least harm, unless you want to go that way. The only problem I see is Aikido takes many years to master to be effective in a real fight.

True. That connection could be our DNA. Because of the influence of the sun- the way the earth turns around it and the timing- plus the DNA deeply rooted in the Sun, we are aging and dying. The stories about vampires living forever in the darkness but are destroyed if they go into the sun could be mutated from that knowledge. The blood drinking has something to do with Sirius and the method related to blood- at least I think it does. Yeah, the way the Earth and the Sun are connected and move, it creates a linear time continuum that makes the possibility of aging and death. All the Earth beings fall under the influence of these forces. There is an idea of changing the DNA from Sun oriented to Sirius oriented. This is just an idea. Supposedly, if this happens, you will never grow old. I don't know how or why or if.
  12. Sceptical Inquiring

I think it's more then a blind belief. But in case some government agent is reading this, I run out of my medications and have to wait for my next paycheck.
  13. LOL@Traditional MA's

Yeah, Fedor and his brother rule. I'm not even sure who is better. Russian fighters kick ass. I would bet on Chuck. If in fact he studies internal stuff, he will be holding the belt for a very long time. Notice his stomach when he fights.
  14. Sceptical Inquiring

Why stop there... aliens working together with our government, USA and Russia posessing technology for time travel and age reversal, developing viruses like Bird Flu for population control, thought control by all the media, 9/11, Oklahoma City and other government ways to promote their agenda, etc. It's not believable? With all the media controlled by the same people why wouldn't this be possible?
  15. LOL@Traditional MA's

It is an old video, probably from the time when he fought with Randy at UFC and lost. Chuck is studying some internal system now- from what I can see from his body structure and the way he moves. Next time you see him fight, look how hard it is for graplers to take him down. I didn't like him at first but now he is one of my favorite fighters, along with Andrei Arlovski and Rich Franklin. Btw, Andrei is from my city and country.
  16. LOL@Traditional MA's

I would go back to my teacher at SHin-budo Kai. I had a few dreams recently training there again. Now I'm working on a form of Internal Power breathing practice to see all the effects. That's the stuff that makes you able to break rocks without any hand conditioning or take any punch without Iron shirt training. The energy it produces is very dense- definately not for cultivation. But it brings a new meaning to things I learned in Aikido.
  17. Very good post Sean. I have nothing to say or to add on this. You covered everything very well. To address Ian's post, the main reason I promote Emptiness meditation is two-fold. First, it's free. Any one pointed concentration- on your breath, on the candle, on the internal sound, on the sounds outside, etc. will eventuall gently guide you to many states of stillness. If you go to free Vipassana retreat, they will also will teach you what Buddha was originally teaching before it was corrupted by other people and sects of then created Buddhist religion. The second reason is I feel responsible for people that i've been with for a long time on this path. And so I try to share everything I can. Well, not everything, but at least things that matter the most.
  18. Is tonglen practice healthy?

Buddha taught that after meditation it's a good thing to offer all the merit of this meditation to all the sentient beings, visible and invisible, so they also can find peace and happiness.
  19. LOL@Traditional MA's

I would say any martial art can be deadly. Kung Fu or Tai Kwon Do. Thigs like good timing, experience in real combat and internal part of training can be a factor. Why do you think Aikido or Aiki-jitsu is not allowed in MMA competition. Because most of their techniques are against the rules. And why is that? Because they will end the fight in a matter of seconds with a wrist or arm lock. Check out this guy from Korea. http://www.nytaichi.com/contents.htm My friend used to go there and said the teacher sometimes is challenged by some other martial arts people and they all just fly backward before they can reach him. Check the video of his push hands. He seems like a real deal- based on what my buddy told me. Things like the teacher asked him to grab his shoulder and then my friend saw the ball of energy moving under the teacher's skin to the area where he grabed him. The next thing he knows, he is flying backwards and the students catching him. The teacher didn't move an inch. Sometimes he would ask my friend about his past Aikido training and then he would go ahead and demonstrate all the tricks that O'Sensei did.
  20. I believe I said it's one of the conditions to the successful in emptiness meditation. And in order to set it up, you have to practice this meditation. Seems confusing? Let me explain. Let's take BJJ for example. If you start practicing it without any grappling experience, will you be successful? Probably not very much. In order to be skilled in applying it in a real combat, you have to train hard for at least a couple of years, if not your whole life. You have to train BJJ to be successful in BJJ and set up conditions for the BJJ to 'shine' through you. Do you understand now what I'm saying? The same will apply to anything, including empty mind meditation. When you start, even though you sit down and close your eyes, you most likely will not be able to silence your mind for more then a minute, if you're lucky. After months and years of practice, you set up the conditions, like #1, so you have an easier time for stillness to permeate your body and mind. They are just 2 major conditions for any cultivation to be successful. There are many others and one can write a book to list all of them in details. Do not hold on literally to what I'm saying. I agree with everything you said and you have a very good perception. But the question is: Now what? You know all this but knowing and actually experiencing Stillness in every moment are two separate things. If you don't, what are you going to do about it? If you do, how deep does it penetrate your very existence? There are many layers to this, as you may know. Emptiness meditation takes on all these questions directly as opposed to visualization practices. You have good understanding of this and I agree with most of what you said. You probably misunderstood my statement though. I don't condone sex and its relationship to cultivation. I'm talking about the quality of aroused sexual energy and its ability to transform to chi. From my observations and experience, it takes longer for this transformation to take place in its excited condition, plus you will have in addition to work with (and transform) your partner's energy as well that you give and receive through your sexual exchange. This all will take extra time. Much more time that we have. That was one of the big reasons for most spiritual schools advocating abstinence.
  21. I'm pretty sure that we wouldn't be acting the way we did if we met in real life. Causing you or anybody else pain would be the last thing I would like to do, and I'm very sorry you had to go through these kind of feelings due to my actions (or non-actions). I like my new name better and will keep it. The name doesn't matter much anyway- the messages do.
  22. Sean, again and again you assume something- just like the last outburst you had on HT board where you made fun of me and challenged me with a duel. Do you really think it ok calling me a little girl and taunt me that I would run away from a challenge like some moma's boy hiding behind a computer screen? Do you think it's coming from your heart? Again, thank you for your kindness. You may also ask TwoTrees why I talk to her in a personal tone. You don't have to make fun of Bill Bodri's material- it's not his or Master Nan's invention. If you want, you can read Diamond Sutra for more information. Policing other members of the board wasn't my problem. I had other things to do. If you think I'm resposible because I didn't do anything about it, you could have raised the same question to the other parties as well. Did you? Nope. Is it one of your attempts "to embarass me with your force"? That's what you said last time to me, remember? Like I say, straight from the heart, right?
  23. Sean, I will address your full post later when I have more time. As for PS, here is a good Zen question for you that I hope you can answer - not for me but for yourself: If someone is acusing you of something you haven't done, is there an apology? Life is very deceaving- things you are so sure of may not be so. The IP is also a very deceptive thing- basing all your conclusions on it will bring you nowhere. Use your other sences- the truth is not so hard to see.
  24. I think you are on the right track Sean, even though you are explaining it from a different standpoint. Bill Bodri is right, and yet to be successful in what he and his teacher are teaching, we need to have an ample time to prepare. If someone with no experience try to attemp this, they will certainly fail. And most people who claim they can reach stillness in meditation are supressing their thoughts. There are 3 conditions to being successful in empty mind meditation: 1. Your body must be healthy with all the channels open. 2. Your mind is quiet and under control. 3. No sexual related activities of any kind, in mind or body. Some people may question the third condition. All I can say is #2 and #3 are deeply connected. Why do you think I'm a dude?
  25. BJJ is not gay!?

If the argument is about the usefullness of ground fighting, the challenge should be about you using BJJ and Sheepish using any form of MA. Don't you think?
