  1. 1.How is your relationship with John currently?

2.How much time every day did you regularly and/ now currently train in the mo pai level you're in?

There is a reason I ask these questions in particular. # 1 is just one I wanted to ask. # 2 another, Although.

I Don't believe many of the questions asked about the details in Mo Pai methods could be released even if Kosta wanted to.

Hm am I too late? Lol

    Either way, Thanks Becker

  2. +1

I know someone who had received some numerous testimonies from monks. He says the very same things as you. Unless one is a very balanced person and do it out of a true inner calling, rushing into monasteries is just as delusional as everything else. One is just bringing into the monastery his own mental problems. There is no external escape from what plagues our self.

    This.

I believe people who seriously practice in some monstaries probably have some of the most challenging.

But, im sure it gets much easier after awhile. When your will is steel lol.

  3. Well what you lack is focus. The greatest benefit of a disciplined mind is that these old conversations and memories do not rise up and bug you. A trained mind has the ability to silence the thoughts because a disciplined mind rests in emptiness.

This article has been invaluable in my training to tame my mind. please take it quite seriously because it's the real deal.

    http://www.successconsciousness.com/index_000004.htm

if you notice in part two of the article, the very last exercise is the complete silencing of the mind. when you attain this part a great burden will be lifted from your shoulders. you will be able to turn of the mind at will - an insanely valuable tool for well-being.

Hm, I don't know if I'd say every case of thoughts coming up is lack of focus. I don't have the thoughts come up till I get very deep, they feel somewhat loud, then I don't hear them. Only to find out when im done they've been going on in the back ground. I Think "these" thoughts may have been stressful and have to be dealt with.

Of course there are times you just drop them and do your session. But to brush aside what your subconscious wants dealt with, I don't think it's the best idea.

  4. Googled john chang and found this on a website called above top secret and there were discussing him in 2009

"I live in Indonesia and personally know Dr. Lawrence Blair and his producer. I have spoken to them at some length about this case. They did not personally fake this documentary. They went to great lengths to try and find the hoax if John Chang is such. They did not find a battery on his person or anywhere near. What they did find however, when they examined the footage frame by frame, was a thin hairlike wire making the dagger spin. They told me they are not sure whether John is fake or real. "The jury is still out" were their exact words.

Lawrences brother died after a motorbike accident in Bali. Nothing related to John.

My point to them is why fake a simple dagger trick if everything else is real?

My personal take on this is that John Chang is simply a good magician and that is all"

Dont know what this meens ef anything at all.

Please Please if your going to discuss this please dont resort to bickering and name calling and such.

    Thanks

I doubt this guy knows Blair at all personally.. His brother dying is another matter, if that's of importance, could have easily been brought up in the follow up visit to john. I pretty much doubt the keris being tampered with a hairline string aswell.

The input could easily just be someone trying to establish their decision on the matter with some sort of false credibility.

  5. Usually means you're taking in more energy then your body is accustomed to.

If you train consistently, it won't be long till it stops. But it will come again. Your body will get use to the amount of energy, then when you get better at the practice or put more effort/time into it, more energy than right now will come. And because of that, the same pulsating feeling will come back.

It just means you're progressing, so keep moving. You may feel this alot in meditation, but don't feel alarmed. If gets to be too much just stop and take a breather. If you sit through most of the pulsating, you'll realize it will barely come back. Until you gain more energy than your body is use to at this point.

Back when I did breath retention. I'd have people on the same couch as me feel the pulsating you're talking about and say "Is that you!?" from the other side of the couch. It's more often to happen in practice, but happens in normal day to day life aswell.

  6. Imagine the stress at having attained all the wonderful bliss states, and then realizing that none of it can prolong life for even an extra minute as death looms closer and closer

I Don't think it'd be viewed in the same sense.

It might even be a bit beautiful to the person in bliss, being they understand they're that much more like the seasons.

And everyones season must come to an end.

  7. Oh yeah that happens all the time, maybe not so much on this site but on many other forums I go to it's common.

Ah yeah. the worst is when you're vsing a girl or guy posing as a girl on a game. then because she's losing 2 other guys join her team to beat me while im alone.

Best is when I beat them all though haha.

Yes, there are many white knights...and not nearly enough black knights:

Ah yeah I've been called a dark horse (had to google that one). Black knight, a couple times. :glare:

  8.

You tell me, my male brothers, is thetaobums a reverse sexist forum where males are suppose to tolerate derogatory remarks from females yet males can't post insults back to them?

Well Yeah. And so is every place with white knights.

If you make a point that makes a woman have to stick up for actions and words verbally, there will almost always be a male thinking she can't fend for herself. It should be an insult in itself for a guy to think he "has" to help. But no it's often accepted because it's better than facing the fact of being wrong.

Back to my point though. Anyplace there's a white knight, yes guys will be on any females side over yours.

Im not generalizing as all woman for supporting this behavior btw either, there are really alot that hate it.

  9. When you ask this, I feel like your asking if everyone would want to be a talk show host, or musician.

Even if it was open to the world, and proven, I feel very few would try to excel in it. In the end only the people who're meant for it will.

In the same way an athlete excels at what they do. I Don't exactly think it's for everyone. I don't mean people shouldn't be allowed to practice to be more healthy. Im saying the impression shouldn't always be to surrender all attachments in order to train a lifetime.

Unless enlightenment is really ones goal.

  10. I'm not sure where i read this but from what i understand breath retention is on it's own a method in achieving immortality. You start slow and built it up through the years until at some point it is said that the breath ceases completely. I don't know where it goes from there on wards, but apparently there are routes through this practice in which to ascend similar to regular Meditation practices.

I believe you're speaking of triangle breath.

  11. It may not of been a simple disagreement, but a blanket statement made against all meditation methods (see below in bold); this kind of comment is not really helpful towards an understanding that there are MANY methods and there is no need to setup superior of one vs another. In the end, the person finds which one they really connect to and get something out of. Hopefully there is acceptance that there is enough variation in the world of meditation to provide everyone a chance to see what works for them. It is great to hear what works for certain people but it does not mean it must work for another; that is their own journey.

Hm, I guess if it offends people.

But in all honesty, what he said doesn't concern me. So I don't very much care what he had to say right there. I was just mentioning if it was so carelessly thrown into his post, and there lies the problem. Perhaps peoples emotions shouldn't be thrown so carelessly in response.

  12. Sorry but in my experience Chia is nice for a beginner to internal arts but as a practice its worthless crap.

I Think Chia's a terrible start. Or horrible to ever begin.

Dangerous, and I believe gives a wrong impression of how practice should be approached.

If done, should be practiced with caution.

  13. ChiDragon,

Shut up, dude!!!! I think you should be banned for once again spreading disinformation and trolling. It's your entire purpose here. I am reporting your utterly pointless post and praying to any gods that are listening to have you permanently removed from this forum!

Think that response is a bit hardcore for what he said. Just disagrees.

Anyway I'd recommend anapansati meditation, in simple terms counting breaths. Look it up, there are different ways for different steps. It Really helps. But don't start to fast.

Totally disagree with people who say it doesn't help, they obviously went into the practice treating it as though it were garbage. You do that with any practice and all you'll receive is garbage.. Actual Effort is needed.
