  1. So today I was coming home after a quick visit to the bank, and on the way I see and hear this old lady call out to me from across the road. She standing there, at the pedestrian crossing, the light is green and yet she kept calling to me. I make my way there to see what exactly she is asking, we speak different languages but I understand most of what she says when I get closer. She is afraid to cross the road, she was asking me for reassurance to cross the road, she is almost blind. So I take her hand and help cross the road, at the same time signaling to the cars not to come. We make it to the other side where she thanks me and tells me almost in tears how her poor sight makes her afraid to cross since she doesn't know if there is a car coming. She might have been there a few minutes for all I know, and she must have crossed a few other roads moments before (she had been grocery shopping). We were kind of lost since she didn't speak english, and I kind of speak a broken version of her language at the moment, so I'm not sure how blind she is. But I asked her if she needed help getting home, to which she didn't need since she lived just around the corner. So anyway, when this little old lady was telling me almost in tears, of her sorrow and how afraid she was, me a complete strange probably less than half her age, my heart just felt so heavy and I wished I could really do something to really aid her in the long term. All I can do is wish her the best and feel sad whenever I remember the moment, and so life goes on... I'm not sure why, but I wanted to share the story, maybe because of how emotionally packed it was for me.
  2. Kundalini Juices

A peeping tom from another dimension, nice But seriously, I am curious about the ET part. I was wondering how you guys communicated. Were you and your girlfriend seeing him in broad daylight? and right in front of you, like an everyday person (not in astrral plane or something)? And what was his most important teaching to you? and whathe look like, smell like, sound like etc??
  3. confidence + arrogance + ego

Know you can do something, feel confident about it! But don't think you're better than anyone else (as a person) because you do what you do.
  4. Dealing with fear and sorrow

Thank you for reading guys, love, energy and blessings to you all
  5. tldr but to anyone who did read I ask, what is the conclusion of it all?
  6. What's the best way to start learning Japanese?

Go to a Japanese language course, and ask people who get high grades on them how they study, try it and see if it works for you.
  7. A quote to ponder on

Think for yourself is the way to go. Some things "the way" really is the way though.
  8. OBE

Thanks RV. And Mokona, are you saying you manage to get undeniable evidence for yourself that OBEs are real? How did your friend actually find his way to you at work? I have read that you just think of the place you wanna go and you are taken there. Anyway, experiences on my side are tougher to accept. If I am to accept OBEs as 100% real, and not simply a construct of the mind, I have to accept a lot of other things. Like heaven (of some sort), angels, negative entity attacks, astrology and maybe even the power of Jesus. Things weren't always so strange though, at first OBEs were more normal and down to earth, then I started flying straight upwards into the sky and things got a little more crazy :lol:Beautiful, but crazy. I love OBEs, but am yet to get verification on them.
  9. OBE

I once had an OBE, I was approached by a being of light, he came to me and bestowed upon me a divine mission, a mission to unblock humanities grammar chakra so no person has to suffer reading an overwhelming wall of text. I am not a grammar or spelling nazi, but have some compassion for those who may want to read your post. OBEs are interesting to me, but I cannot verify that they are real. Every morning I woke up, no matter how awesome I felt or how awesome the experiences were, other than myself, nothing in the world had changed.

what are your thoughts on this? Why would anyone do that? How can they do that? Is it ok to do that? Isn't she a little old to be doing that? How does this make you feel? why? As one who has had a cat poisoned by someone in my neighborhood a few years back, I am not sure I could feel sorry for her at all if some nasty stuff were to happen to her or any person who can treat an animal like that. I would like to believe she is just insane and has issues, but I think shes just a terrible person the world would probably be better without. And I also know theres much worse animal cruelty out there, this just hits home you know, she could be your next door neighbor, and no motive, just plain cruelty. Yeh I know maybe she has some good in her when cats aren't involved, but shes still a primitive creature to me if she finds it necessary to do that, as a human being I don't think I can think of her as part of my species. (Assuming I am a human being, maybe I have become HOMOSAPIEN SUPERIOR!! )

I don't even know what to say about people like her, they are sick and evil. thats right EVIL, read the word over and over and then reject its existence because you came up with some theory and mind play on why EVIL doesn't exist. Anyway Tao oneness and practitioner guys, I have a question...... So you accept all is one with the Tao and therefore all is beautiful and perfect etc. At the same time you say you follow the Tao, meaning the "others" do not follow the Tao. So if others do not follow the Tao, how can you consider them part of the Tao and "perfect"? Ok maybe they physically are part of the tao, but their mental plane sure isn't. Are you not contradicting yourself by accepting as perfect and part of the Tao those who do not follow the Tao? Also the idea that the Tao is not perfect is in contradiction with your claim that everything in the Tao is perfect. If the Tao is truly perfect, the idea of its imperfection should not exist in the first place. All is Tao, but that doesn't mean all is as it "should" be, like the Tao was and is meant to be the way it is, and cannot be changed. So if you can possibly get your mind around what I have tried to express above, you will see my point, the Tao is there to be reshaped by us however we see fit. And those who simply accept things can't change because Tao is what it is. are either afraid or feel powerless to reshape the Tao into something better.

Hate to grim things up again, but I would rather post it here than on a thread new called "woof woof". And in this case it is a much worse scenario, how can someone be so cold towards the living? WARNING, if you aren't an emotional zombie or evil, this will probably ruin your day http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=bb4_1283184704
  14. What causes sexual desire?

   Sorry blasto, no offense intended, but your reply caught me off-guard, that is all.

well if its cool with nature its cool with me!
  16. Chinese Martial Arts and MMA/UFC

Chances are the top UFC/MMA guys would beat up a top traditional martial artist no matter what the settings and rules. A no rules fight would probably benefit both sides just as much. And half the submission moves the MMA fighter can do will become submission breaks, go ahead a break their finger with some little hold that works on average people, but these guys will take the finger break, and then break your whole arm in return. And you can try and poke eyes and tuff, but these guys are pretty use to blocking, so good luck with that. Also, they go to the ground on a 1 vs 1 fight, but that doesnt mean the can't throw punches and defend against multiple opponents as well. enjoy your martial arts, but you have to realize its limitations.

Thanks freeform, you're a pretty cool cat too. Most of TTBs are, thats why I lurk and stick around even though I am not really a taoist or buddhist or hindu etc. And I do stop mental gymnastics, if I didn't I might go insane , but seriously, I guess I am just waiting for something to show me (and I don't mean this in a bad way) that spiritualism itself isn't some form of mental gymnastics. Mind you mental gymnastics can have good results, hence the benefit of spiritual practices. So yeah, if any gods, deities, immortals, buddhas, saints, etc are willing to pay me a visit, you know where I am so please come show me something, in the physical realm though please (no dream visits).

React automatically? Well every action causes a reaction, so no matter what I choose to do or not I have reacted. My post heavenly defilements would make this a better place when it comes to cruelty, whatever their source, so I will keep them. Everyone acts on impulse, if you dont then well you've just acted on your impulse not to act on impulse. Its too messy and unpractical to do these mental gymnastics, so I just get on with my life and do what what I can within my sphere of influence to make the world a better place. @Pero Of course you can, theres no universal law about this. I dont like analogies because they can be twisted to fit your point of view just to make a point. I like to treat problems on a individual basis, no generalizing no analogies. "Everything is perfect, but nothing is perfect for everything" - That Guy August 27th 2010 This includes analogies. If your utopia includes suffering of other beings without need it is not a utopia. Closest you can say about that is that having cats outside of bins makes her suffer, but even then her level of suffering is insignificant compared to the cats.
  20. Meow Meow

If that first point just no. There are many things that one can end without knowing how they started. Heres one for you, LIFE, even if a creature doesnt know where life came from or how it started, it can end it. And another no because the cat did nothing, so it couldn't throw anything out of balance.
  21. Meow Meow

Yeah I get you, but I am more interested in the intent more than anything. Like "the positive or the negative act when they shouldn't or fail to act when they should" because they want to see some suffering or don't like to see others content.
  22. Meow Meow

Thats what i thought too, so what i was getting to is, why must the origin of all impulses be a positive one if neither polarity pre exists the other? I think things just happen (chi), and then we make it a positive or negative happening in our mind. So the origin of an impulse is not positive or negative, it is actually "chi".
  23. Meow Meow

Ok what came first, the positive or the negative? if you know the answer, please explain.
  24. Meow Meow

i havent thought of that, i ve just thought of casting them out somewhere so those who arent like that dont have to deal with them. And thinking and analyzing about how things started is interesting and educational, but you know what? I care about how things end much more, thats more important since we can change that. All actions - no matter how good they seem to you or I - start out with a negative impulse. This is not a 'truth' - just a useful belief - an experiment if you will. Like I am good, I wanna feed the hungry, why? well because when i think of hungry people I get this negative feeling, so I want to do something positive for them. I thought all understood that yin does not arise from yang, and yang does not arise from yin. They both simply exist separately but are always interwinding. So a positive does not need a negative to start out, and a negative does not need a positive to start out. They both simply are, and will always exchange between one another as they seek to find a balance. And to me, this old lady is out of balance, and would make my utopia unbalanced, so i cast her out to be unbalanced elsewhere. that ok?

TheSOngsofDistantEarth you cat lover troll I m more of a dog person myself, but hate animal cruelty in general. Animal testing is difficult because afor all the pain it causes it might be for a "greater good". If it is a greater good or not is up for each person to decide, but at least it is not about being cruel for the sake of being cruel. Had that bin been a cliff she possibly would've done the same, its the intent of the actions that really get to me, and her intent was purely negative.
