  1. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

That breathing sequence is Monk Holding Pearl. Nice to know that ginger works in tandem with the meditation. I will go make some ginger tea
  2. Falun Dafa thread - open discussion...

You come here, expecting us to dissect your philosophy and discuss it. When we point us flaws, you say we slander. This is pure delusion. Read those two pieces I pointed out. They are simple and to the point.
  3. Falun Dafa thread - open discussion...

Clearwisdom Glossary This is concrete, links from your websites. Discuss! Why are you spreading untruths?
  4. The 100 day Meditation Experiment

The way: you might want to read this post at dharmaoverground. Very interesting.
  5. Falun Dafa thread - open discussion...

So Gauss, let's hear your detailed criticism about Buddhism, you can start with the Diamond Sutra. Also, let's see a critique of Tao Te Ching. Yours truely.
  6. Falun Dafa thread - open discussion...

I find this thread and other threads that Gauss has made to be quite ridiculous because of the premises of a forum such as this is *discussion*, which is not really happening. Gauss keeps on holding on to his views without budging while some people have acknowledged that the exercises were good but the philosophy behind it phony. What more do you want, since you are not even trying to understand where other people are coming from? I also find it laughable that you continue to say that we are slandering FD when you spread misquotes that Buddhism cannot save people anymore. This is not the truth: it is a misquote of the Diamond Sutra! Your intention may be compassion, so is ours.

*If* the law of karma is real, could there be karmic consequences? How can our linear non-cultivated mind perceive the consequences? Maybe an enlightened person knows and will not follow your suggestion. I think something like you suggest could only happen on a grand scale such as a world wide event that cannot be covered up in media and by government. An equivalent to aliens from outer space descending to Earth

Sloppy: you apparently hold science to the highest regard. Well, scientists are not 100% honest as they will publish articles with experiments that cannot be validated. I know because I have seen such articles first hand. Science is a framework where our understanding can change tomorrow because of a fundamental breakthrough. Science will understand everything one day, granted the scientists behind it are 100% honest. This requires looking into your thoughts eliminating bias which very, very few scientists are capable of. My experience is mainly with engineers in a company. You also have to understand economics and social engineering to understand why there is a lot of bias against spiritual claims. You yourself said your third eye is opening, so what are you complaining about? The Taoists mapped the mind-body connection and the Buddhist the mind. This is also science so I cannot see why you put such emphasis on Western science with it's current emphasis on producing results that can lead to quick commercialization.
  9. To understand this we need to understand where thoughts come from and I don't think anybody can agree on that.
  10. The 100 day Meditation Experiment

I've been doing this (qigong/meditation) for 1½ years. Current result: more confidence, less fear, overall more effortless life (less going against what life is teaching me). No spiritual wild things as other members on TTB. Zhan Zhuang: Signs of wind qi as Bill Bodri calls it, yes. Bubbling Well in the feet alot, hands warmer, better blood circulation, better digestion, cleaning of the digestion system (farting! LOL). No MCO, unfortunately :/. Flying Phoenix: there are standing static, standing moving, sitting static and sitting moving. Intu-Flow: a joint mobility exercise, it loosens your joints. Supposedly it will also improve your sense of "flow" as Scott Sonnon calls it. Recommended! I just do it manually by using the quote tags and change the name inside the tag. EDIT: I forgot to add that I actually do wuji standing as warmup to Flying Phoenix and as a ending for my Tai Chi practise, but that's only 2 min each
  11. Does this contain all the intu-flow and flowfit exercises? I thought about buying both intu-flow (currently doing beginner level from youtube) and flowfit, which will total in about $110 with shipping so maybe this is a better deal?
  12. The 100 day Meditation Experiment

I did it as per Way of Energy all the way to page 128 so my last exercises were filling up the balloon with water and imagining magnets pulling at my body from everywhere. Actually I also imagined I was in a river (think whitewater rafting) with a log that was almost pushing me over and I had to keep the log while maintaining the posture in the wild water. A lot of effort but it felt very nice afterwards. This idea I got from a I-Chuan training manual. Why did I discontinue? Two things: I felt I needed a teacher and I wanted to try Flying Phoenix qigong
  13. The 100 day Meditation Experiment

    Did it improve your taiji?
  14. The 100 day Meditation Experiment

I did a year of standing and I think it really increased my patience and perseverance with practises, so standing is really recommended. I am already more than 30 days in in my Intu-Flow practise so I'll just continue this.
  15. The Way of Energy

The way of power expands on the first book. The focus is mainly on martial arts rather than just health and the stances are deeper and tougher. Some of the ones I've tried were very good in generating energy. I did the way of energy one full year about 40 min per day, it was really nice. I must admit that after continuing to the way of power I felt a bit lost without a teacher since I think ZZ requires a teacher to correct your posture to really get the benefits of the practise especially if you are doing it for like 40-60 min.
  16. The "Choking Game"

My condolences to you and your family.
  17. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

Weird as in weird good. (I also cannot explain it but that doesn't matter; I am trying not to over-analyse things, the monkey mind is already too talkative, no need to feed it) I'm not a native English speaker so sometimes I put in the wrong words
  18. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

Junbao, I recently started doing a standing meditation (MGAMoon) for about 10 minutes before MSWine #1 + #2 and the effect is noticable, ie. energy is stronger. The funny thing is that previously I did not find MGAMoon standing anything special but today it was as powerful as the seated one is. Weird stuff It could be caused by the MSWine meditations but I'm not sure.
  19. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

The story about the origin of Flying Phoenix. River Rat: interesting that there are kicks in the meditation that you can view at flyingphoenix.us. It seems very martial?
  20. qigong styles

I don't think you can get a really powerful system working from just a book or DVD. Some sort of transmission / projection needs to be done to get things moving. People who have done Kunlun and had quick progress went to seminars. One option for learning from a DVD is Flying Phoenix qigong. However it really depends on the person. Over at dharmaoverground one guy got to stream entry in 10 months with vipassana!
  21. Will Sifu Jenny be coming to Copenhagen, Denmark? It is very close to Norway.
  22. Chi into Shen

but isn't it transmission + 100 days practise? That's quite different... but it really is quick! You are lucky.
  23. Chi into Shen

if this were correct standing would be useless, so would tai chi. So my opinion is it can be done other ways also.
  24. Wujishi Chio Gong

So is wuji style breathing just zhan zhuang?
