  1. If you want some place close by, I recommend the Desert Botanical Garden. I often go there to do Tai Chi or Chi Gong. The energy there from the plants are really powerful. $10 to get in but worth it. Beautiful place.

There is a good Vietnamese restaurant next door to White Crane if you want to do lunch after workshop while waiting for your private class.

I am up for lunch and lunch with the group.

  4. Fellow Zonie here, N. Phoenix area. Welcome. I'm a complete novice. Do you know a teacher here in the Valley?

Hi All and thanks for welcoming me.

Hi Eric. My main teacher is Sifu Zhu, a White Crane specialist, who moved to San Francisco in 2002. After he left, I was lucky enough to find a second Sifu who is in town and very good. He help me continue my growth as well as introduce me to a new style. Due to my background with a great Sifu, it was not hard to make the transition to a new style at all. In someway, they are close. My Sifu #2 only teach private class. It is hard to find good Sifu, who truly invest in your growth. I am lucky to have two in my life now.. I just found a potential third, Sifu Matsuo, of Honolulu, Hawaii. But I don't train there long enough to be consider his student. Right now he is a good friend and mentor.

I have a school in Mesa by Fiesta Mall, where my training brothers and I teach and develop our understanding of White Crane Kung Fu and the universal principles of Kung Fu, Tai Chi, and Chi Kung. I am certified to teach Sifu Zhu's internal art. Here is our website. www.whitecrane.ws

If you wish to study with my Sifu #2, email me on here and I will forward his number to you. I don't name Sifu #2 because he likes his privacy. He is sort of a wondering monk, who trains in the mountain. I train privately with him around his schedule. It is well worth it.

Or you can train with me, I very good at helping newbies learn the foundation. I been at it for 5 years. There is no longer term contact at our school so if I am a fake, you will know soon enough and not lock in..:)

Finding a good teacher is as important as finding a good style to commit to. If I could be of any help, let me know.

    Peace,

  5. Hi. I found this site very informative. The people on here are friendly and thoughtful. I wish to be part of this commununity where I can share and gain ideas and experiences with my fellow Internal Art Travelers..

I had study White Crane Kung Fu, Tai Chi, and Chi Kung from Sifu Zhu Ruhu since 1995. I been introduct to Kenny Gong's Hsing-I through a good friend and loving it. I met Sifu Matsuo from Honolulu, HI through another good friend and just love his Bagua, too. He is a student of Sifu Max. Now I am curious to attend Sifu Max seminar this month in L.A.

Oh. I already have Sifu Max's book and done reading it. I have not start the practice yet.

    Peace to all..
