  1. Golden Dragon - Kunlun or other arts?

Satori is very qualified to comment on these matters. He actually knows more about it than I. He is my neighbor and has known Max about as long as me. He does speak his mind freely, hopefully for the benefit of others.
  2. Life Force

My girlfriend did a session with him and I checked it out based on her positive experience. I dig the process he describes of applying your attention to whatever internal discomfort you may be experiencing and then allowing that discomfort to express itself until it eventually releases. Simple and very effective.
  3. Golden Dragon - Kunlun or other arts?

Thanks Satori. I actually just posted the same thing on this forum. Hopefully, people will have great success with Dan's uber-simple method. Cheers! Chris P.S. Freeform, you are brilliant, mate.
  4. Hey folks, A lot of people have asked about Philip Toledo. He's the guy who illegally sells Max's old videos from his web site. We have asked you not to because he does not pay Max any royalties. It is sad that he is confused, but as many of you know, Max is still very much alive. He did fake his own death a few years ago when I met him in New Mexico to remove himself from his life in Hawaii. Many teachers have done this in the past for a period of time to see what their students will do in their absence. When the teacher returns the shit usually hits the fan. Some simply refuse to accept the reality that the teacher has not actually died and was merely testing them. That's the deal here. Take care, ~Chris
  5. Lama Dorje Student

Hey all, I am a student of Lama Dorje's and one of his close friends. I can answer some of your questions regarding him and his teachings. I do not know everything about him, as he is constantly amazing me with some new area of expertise, but I do know some things. My main area of study is the spontaneous Kunlun Nei Gung practice, or "bliss practice." I look forward to meeting you all. Chris
  6. Question about Kunlun Level 2

Complete your repetitions on each side before switching. And you have been doing level 1 regularly for at least six months, right?
  7. Things a Taoist do not eat

I did not say these are my beliefs. If you'll read closer I said "One way to look at it..." Take the second argument up with the Natives. I hear you though man. It is a nasty situation, but is it any nastier than having to bear the karma of hacking animals to death yourself? There are those at a less affected level doing that service for the rest of us, so that we can frolic in the divine. Just kidding. Of course, to actually hunt an animal and take it's life to sustain your own seems quite natural (we been doin' it for a few million years, yo) and I am sure can be a deeply spiritual experience. The reverence and gratitude you would have with the animal would be something significant and meaningful. So, maybe personally taking game for your sustenance is the best way to go, if you are going to be a meat eater. I don't know. Drive through at In and Out Burger is sounding pretty damn good too right now. My canines are dripping in anticipation...

  9. Things a Taoist do not eat

Good point Karen. Probably the most important. One way to look at it is that we ARE all connected and that by eating the meat of an animal you are taking an aspect of that animal with you to a higher vibration, since the animal is at his evolutionary peak in a way. When the native americans hunt they don't go scrambling through the forest looking for Elk, they go and sit where they know the Elk cross daily. Then they wait for the Elk to present itself for the taking. They believe that the Elk knows it's service and the Elk gives it's life for the benefit of the humans. There is much reverence in the act and life goes on. Of course, everyone must do what they feel is right for them. I can only speak of my own experience and beef works for me. O+ blood types like myself seem to need it.
  10. Things a Taoist do not eat

This is not true. Wudang and Maoshan practitioners eat whole lots of beef and eel and snakes. At least the Grand Masters and high level aspirants. The reason, is that you NEED it if you are running a lot of energy. Beef is the only thing that can ground you at times. There was a story about a student who felt compelled to forego the eating of meat so that his body could be "lighter' and he could merge with the Tao more easily. His teacher saw that his practice was taking him very far and so suggested that the student do a cave retreat. The teacher placed something in a hole in the wall of the cave and covered it with a snug fitting rock. The teacher then tole his student that he had left him one of the greatest secrets of internal alchemy but that he may only resort to it when he had exhausted his practices and felt he could go no further. After several weeks of intense practice the student's experience had plateaued and he genuinely felt stuck. He remembered the secret his teacher had left in the wall but still resisted opening it for a few more days. Finally when he could hold off no more he removed the flat rock covering the hole to reveal a tiny strip of paper. On it was written two words: "EAT MEAT". The student took the advice and found that he had the energy and grounding he needed to break that certain barrier that all of us will eventually face, and he attained his diamond body. I was a hardcore vegetarian for ten years prior to starting the Red Phoenix and Kunlun work. I had been doing the practices for a few months and started to feel as though I was floating and weary with no energy. Max told me that in order for me to continue, I should consider eating meat. That was the LAST thing I wanted to hear and I resisted. Then one day I too couldn't take any more and I chowed on some pepperoni, then I have enchiladas with ground beef and eventually I ordered the 'Carnivore Special" pizza and it was GOOOOD! I felt so amazing afterward and advanced very quickly with my practice. Of course everyone should do what they feel is best for themselves, but I can guarantee that if you are running serious energy, you may find yourself in line at Wendy's salivating for a triple-decker burger or even ordering the Rib Eye at Outback Steak House. Yum!
  11. I practice KunLun

Actually, SJ I was just f*cking with you about all that because you've been such a crazy guy. That is good if you want to face him now. He still doesn't really know who you are or care what you've said. I mentioned that there are people who haven't met him but have a bunch of things to say about him and he just smiled and shook his head. He loves Tao Bum people so far, but he doesn't pay attention to the drama and confusion of this forum. I do, but he doesn't. I am getting over it myself... But if you want to get together, sure man. Anyone can meet Max if they want. He's cool. You will like him. Maybe when we are up there we can work something out. No prob. Cheers!
  12. Kunlun interactions

Great advice Trunk. SP, when doing your Kunlun practice, just spiral clockwise to draw the cooling downward flow into your body. Your Kundalini may rise but with the downward flow, the two energies can merge at the heart and create the expansive, magnetic "steam" of divine bliss. It is VERY important that you maintain a little smile while you practice though. Not just for the energy pattern but because it opens the crown, further enabling the water path to flow. Bets of luck and see you soon. Chris

Satori, where do you get your information man? Yeah, Max had to go through brutal training from childhood to get what he has. His first teacher was old-school harsh. Max trained for hours before school and then after school. Three hours of horse stance and the whole bit. Nothing was given to him. The truth is that Max actually doesn't care about what people say in here. He loves the Tao Bums he's met. They are all great. It was funny at the San Diego seminar when after practicing Kunlun one woman asked him, "I think this practice would really help Sara Palin, huh Max?" Max genuinely replied "Who is Sara Palin?" The class had to tell him. If SJ actually wanted to meet Max he could. Max is a super nice guy and wouldn't hold anything against him. Other Maoshan sorcerers might have sent SJ a nasty little gift at this point, but Max has his Buddhist side and understands the connectedness we all share. He really is one of the living bodhisattvas on this planet and those who meet him realize this. He says that if he were ever to intentionally harm another, he would only be hurting himself and it would send him back to square-one. Still it would be funny to see SJ meet Max. He would really be ashamed of himself for those ignorant attacks. I personally am growing bored with all of this. It is white noise compared to the beauty and simplicity of sitting, smiling and breathing deeply into my heart. Harmony. I sincerely wish everyone the best of luck in their quest for self-discovery.

  15. My impression of the Kunlun Seminar tonight

We don't want to criticize other groups because they exist and work for the people that resonate with them. And doing what works for you is the most important thing. Max did meet Yogi Bhajan before his death and he understands their system. Not sure Max has studied Ninjitsu in any extended manner, but he does seem to understand much about it. He was consulted by some Ninja Master in Japan when he was teaching there. I honestly don't know enough about that relationship either. He is sought out by many high level guys since they realize what he has.
  16. San Diego Kunlun Seminar Review

Hey Dusty, Glad you had a good time. Now you see why it is so hard to read the things people who've never met us have said in here and consider that they are actually referring to Max. Max says thanks for being his "victim" for the burning palm demo. He hopes it has helped release some of your trapped fire. Take care, bro. Chris

I will defend my friends relentlessly from slander and false rumor. The practice itself can't be refuted. It works. A little perspective: There are two people who blog endlessly against what we are doing. So it seems like there is much negative in response to this work, but it is pretty much just two voices out of thousands: Steve (Starjumper): A self-proclaimed wannabee wizard, complete with strong sense of jealousy, arrogance, foul mouth and cowardice. Garry (WYG, Spirit Ape): A spiritual aspirant with a Jeckle and Hyde bi-polarity, that wants desperately to understand Max and benefit from his teachings while alternately wanting to decry Max and everything he offers. I try my best to give these fellas hints, clues and straight up facts about the questions and misunderstandings they have but very little seems to get through. Each day provides a renewed patience and desire to provide clarity for me so, I won't give up on them as long as they are interested. No. It is an extension of the teachings at the seminar so it is not for the general public. I'll make you a deal though, I just talked to Max about providing answers directly for people on Tao Bums. So, I will create a new topic and if you have a serious question I will relay it to him and provide his answers as best I can with the time I have and depending on the access I have to him (he does not have internet where he lives). Sound good?

Max says she had the experience because of her previous merit. Once she had her opening Max was able to sit before her and open up the Gold Dragon body for her to see. When humans see that light they recognize it and many revelations hit at once. The result is the overwhelming compassionate opening of the heart. The wave of love affects everyone around, like it did at that seminar. Left us all a bit weepy with our humility restored. It is in those moments that we feel all of the suffering people experience. It makes you just want to do whatever you can to help others.
  19. My impression of the Kunlun Seminar tonight

Here is an old video of Max demonstrating burning palm: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koXkHUkwtuQ Another of his old student Chris Matsuo demonstrating the vibrating palm he learned from Max as well as Max's first teacher's Wudang system: Chris has a school and teaches a lot of Max's old stuff for those who are interested in martial arts. Another old student demonstrating the family forms, the shamanistic stuff: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qv7R_G30eCI Enjoy.

LOL No, no. Max is nice but Steve has been a little crazed. Max would just like to meet him in person to see why he says what he says. It is very confusing from his perspective. Max likes Starbucks. You have plenty of those up in Seattle, eh Steve? You guys can have coffee there and just chit-chat for a while. When is good?
  21. I practice KunLun

I am indeed sorry to have to spell it out. Self discovery is the most precious experience. There is a cap to the literal mind's understanding of things.
  22. I practice KunLun

Steve, Max is here and he is surprised by your very personal statements about him. I have kept your spewings from him until tonight, but really dude, enough is enough. Max would like to meet you to discuss you views and test you to see how good your magic is. Nothing nasty of course, just for fun. We may be up there again in March. When is good for you?
  23. Secret of the Golden Flower

In Maoshan the first practice they learn is the three-ones meditation which is also called the opening of the three flowers or three dan tiens. This uses hand mudras, sound and a color visualization for each of the centers. When all three open up they call it the three flowers coming to the top, or crown. This a lower version of the Golden Flower. Later reverse breathing is added with a specific hand mudra and this futher refines the three dan tiens. When doing the actual practice of Golden Flower, the three dan tiens will be seen as reflections of dormant parts opening within the brain. The three dan tiens are reflections of the pathways and structures within the brain called the crystal palace and that the body itself is seen as a reflection of the mind. With prolonged practice of the Golden Flower the practitioner's body mind and spirit are refined at the deepest states. It is part of the methods of the Instructors Hand. Each Maoshan teacher may have a variation of this. This was not a commonly given practice and that is why whole armies died for it's specifics. We have included the practice as given by the Grand Master of Maoshan, Lum Dai Yung, in our book Kunlun, if anyone is interested in trying it. Maybe I'll post the details of the practice later.
  24. I practice KunLun

This practice is an oral tradition. It is very old and has its origins before Taoism and Buddhism in Shamanism. The story of the girl in the cave is a metaphor for the process of awakening. It is not intended to be taken as actual history but in history this is how these things have been presented. Being in the cave is like the spirit in the body. The three torches like the opening of the three dan tiens, Ling is the feminine quality of one's self, Lau Kung is the potential we have and the striking of the hammer is the awakening. The images on the wall is the subconscious reflections of awakening. Thunder mountain represents the inner sound or the shaking of one's heart during awakening. Really guys, you gotta be less literal in your analysis. The stories are there for the practitioner to ponder and determine their meaning.
