  1. What? Not even a fraction of tangibility after all these years of practice? Then how are you in the position to judge the lack in other systems and paths?

Lets not go down the road of flashing 'teachers' about. Not interested. Serves no useful purpose.

You are the one making the claims. Back them up yourself.

I could offer no better evidence at this point than the videos of JC and Jim. That is why I offer that as evidence for the system's effectiveness.

Even then 99% of people here will plug their ears, close their eyes and make excuses as to why it cannot be real.

That is not to say I haven't experienced (or documented) anything myself, only that I don't talk about it.

  2. im looking forward to a video demo of mo pai power from Mr Gooch. At his convenience of course.

Lets see how much it has manifested in you after all these years of practice.

    No more excuses.

You'll be waiting a long time then.

Nothing I could film would convince you of anything, if the videos of Jim and John didn't.

  3. By power, I mean able to enter deep meditation states easily, lucid dream/astral project at will and everyday, heal others especially, etc. If so, could you explain in detail how you attained this power. I'm just curios how the people around here stand and as I'm starting all of this energy stuff, I want to have a good foundation and try something that works.

I know meditation is extremely helpful and I do it everyday, but I'm not really seeing any progress with meditation. Yea I'm able to calm my mind, slow my breath almost to a stop, and remember some dreams, but that's it. I sometimes do horse stance and then my body automatically starts reverse breathing and my legs shake, but I'm still not noticing any differences.

I'm curious to see what actually works for people. Please don't say mo pai because I researched this and can't find any reliable information past a certain level. Also the book(The Magus of Java) although a good read, seems exaggerated. Thanks for reading this post and if you have any advice/criticism, please input your thoughts.

What you are calling "power" isn't power.

What you are calling "meditation" isn't meditation.

Don't throw out mo pai because you can't have anything more than the first few levels, already that is more than most westerners can hope to accomplish in their lifetime.

If you want something real, that's where it is at. Virtually everything else is just make believe.

Exaggeration? See for yourself (inside spoiler)

Two years... I mean I'll still meditating two years from now but that's too long for something to happen. How is one supposed to know that they're progressing at all?

You are just spinning your wheels with practices that no one has ever gotten results with, and no one ever will get results with. Just more make believe nonsense. You either want something real or you don't.

  4. I'd like to see a community of serious, logical, rational, devoted, and focused seekers who want something real.

What I see (elsewhere on the internet) is just a bunch a grown men who are role playing, playing make believe and living in a fantasy world. No serious individuals. No one who cares about something real and meaningful.

The situation is such I am mortified to even label myself "spiritual" because of the connotations of newage (insert expletive here).

That is worth fighting to change in my opinion.

I for my part think that it is difficult to elevate culture by fights. How can lack of education, wisdom and knowledge produce high culture anyway? So first you have to get rid of the lack of those.
I fear that what you'll bring about with changing culture by fighting will be a culture of fight .. and after we had this in huge expanse in the past, how would we want to engage in building up s.thing like this, being aware of at least some of the consequences?

Without any doubt, there are situations in which you have to fight or even use violence. In many, many cases it will be possible to use softer methods anyway.
It may not be impossible to cultivate in hell or as a hungry ghost .. but without a question it's difficult. Being aware of this, one should at least try to handle people, things and situations with wisdom. More work in the beginning .. but less to clear up lateron.
As I mentioned, I don't say that you'll always be able to avoid fights, sometimes they are necessary. But fights always consume a lot of ressources that could in most cases be used for better purposes.
In the end people will prefer a king who loves them.

    Best regards

  5. I would say that mantak chia or lomax would serve you equally well.

For those of you who missed the sarcasm:

This question is like asking, which car should I buy? A 1971 Ford Pinto with 500,000 miles on it or a 1971 Chevrolet Vega with 600,000 miles on it.

Doesn't matter they will both serve you equally as well.

Equally as well doesn't mean they are both good choices.

Hi everyone, I love this forum but upon spending hours reading posts I am still confused. There are so many opinions that is hard to get precise knowledge. So I am throwing the dices here hoping to get some feedback.

I started with mantak chia - Microcosmic orbit, iron shirt it felt good but For some reason I just stop doing it after I while.

Now I want to come back to it and have been researching teachers.

I Started practicing spring forest qigong from the free content in youtube. - It feels good, it reminds me of mantak chia orbit but a little different. What do you think is the difference between the two systems?

I am also very interesting in Michael Lomax work - but I iam interested in it from what I have read here - since he doesn't have any free content.

So I am torn between Buying more of Mantak Chias work, Spring Forest Qigong, or Michael lomax work.

I like to feel vibrations in my body and energy associated with qigong.

What do you think, what are the differences?

Please help. I want to invest my money wisely

  6. He opened his hands and held his right palm about two

feet away. Suddenly the ball pulsed with a bluish-violet light; it made

a noise, too, sort of like a canary singing. Bluish white sparks flew

from the ball toward his right palm; they were like miniature light-

    ning bolts.

  7. i couldve gone all day without reading this,, damn, but then that delivery gal that brings me the chicago style deep dish pizza has the same effect on me. still deciding its it the delivery gal or the pizza, hmmm mmmm

I wasn't talking about sexual arousal, just an controllable erection. You can feel chi physically move into and out of the penis, but nothing about it is sexual in natural, more like having manual control over it.

  8. You guys are welcome to poke fun of mo pai all you like, though I find it strange when someone calls systems like Stillness Movement silly or absurd you guys flip your collective lids and turn into a lynch mob.

If you are looking for something real mo pai certainly is.

If you are looking to keep yourself spiritually entertained with the new teacher of the week... More power to you.

  9.

What makes you so sure Mo Pai is so good at breaking one free from rebirth. In fact, what makes you so sure that rebirth is something that happens, in the first place?

From the void each day you witness millions of beings coming into being, and each day you see millions of beings returning.

I know personally that one day I woke up here in this world, as if waking from a dream, and that someday I will leave it.

We can make certain cases for what will happen after death:

    1. Eternal afterlife

    2. Eternal nonexistence

    3. Rebirth

Seeing as each day millions come from and return to the void, I think a belief in rebirth is not unreasonable.

Out of all these cases, rebirth also is the only one I would want to prevent.

As to why mo pai is good at it? Well previous generation masters returning (as physical and visible spirits) to interact with their students should be a tip off there.

  10. Spiritual hoarding?

Lot's of people think of spiritual practices like Pokémon, you gotta catch them all.

They think if they pick out parts and blend them together they will get some super system or what have you.

In reality they just wind up going nowhere and dying just like the rest of us.

At least the ride was fun I guess though...

    Quality... not quantity is important.

  11. One Mo Pai thread where people can't trash talk it, that seems perfectly reasonable to me.

Now 20 said threads, well that might be pushing it a tiny bit ;).

Well if I understand this correctly what will happen is the threads will be split into two, whomever is OP of either thread maintains control of that thread, so it creates two threads where neither party can disagree with the other, perhaps leading them each splitting again and again, with an exponential growth curve, 2 threads, 4 threads, 8 threads, 16 threads, 32 threads, 64 threads, 128 threads, 256 threads, 512 threads, 1024 threads, 2048 threads, 4096 threads.........

  12.

    1. The PPF is a terrible excuse for controlled threads and very difficult to watch, search, etc. It is "Personal" and that is ok on a very limited basis but not a good idea as a general area of posting

Sounds like you want to have your cake and eat it too.

"I want to be able to post in public, but I also want to remain absolute control of the discussion."

    Pick one, not both.

If this ever does go into effect, I will be happy to create a mo pai thread and watch you guys scream bloody murder when you can't trash talk it in the thread.

  13. Not every discussion must be an argument.

Not every argument needs to be won.

I think a better statement would be, don't post anything in public you are not willing to defend to the end.

But, if you stay true to form, you will continue to reinterate your opinion every time someone posts.

I look at lot's of discussions I don't participate in that turn into debates, essentially they are two sides each re-posting the same opinions over and over in circles.

It seems a common theme for most debates.

  14. How could someone discuss yin chi without you "contributing" to that thread?

They could create such a discussion in their personal practice forum, and delete any comments they didn't want in the discussion.

    Easy peasy.

If people do not want what they put out in public challenged they can use their personal practice discussion forum.

My only beef with this "solution" is that it addresses a problem which never existed in the first place.

  15. What I don't understand is we already have directed discussions in personal practice forums, when you post in public you are inviting debate.

I don't post anything in public I am not willing to defend to the end.

    That's how it is.

In a personal practice forum you can delete troll posts as you see fit.
