    Hi John Zen ... We can influence our own destiny through training, cultivation, education, etc. There is something to be said about grass roots movements. Remember rock the vote on MTV? (OMG am I showing my age?). The internet has become a great tool for the masses to be heard, and to contribute in so many ways. I'll continue my cultivation, and building bridges with my fellow bums, and those I come into contact with in the world. I will continue to be a promoter of universal love while I am here on Earth :)

    Santiago is very much alive. I think the reference of one having passed on is to his Friend&teacher Dr. Glenn Morris. He has a very wide scope of knowledge, down to earth, and sincere.     We got the opportunity to see Avatar today a la 3D. Thanks to my brother for giving us a gift card to AMC for Christmas. I was deeply moved by this movie. I wont get into the story line out of respect for those who have not seen it yet. However, I was happy to see the meditations being practiced in this movie. Althought it's a fictional story it provides a good opportunity for the average person to appreciate other cultures, peoples, and that we all have much to learn from one another. I myself am looking forward to making this a year of progress on the path to heal myself, and to one day heal others. I am hopeful for the future ... I hope everybody gets to see this movie in one way or another .... Happy New Year To all ....

    I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas, and a Happy and safe new year. It's been really busy for me the last couple of weeks, and miss reading up on all the posts. I've been burning the midnight oil studying and successfully passing my last exam of the year. I look forward to the new year and of great progress for my meditational aspirations.     Infections (should that be the case here) are nothing to mess around with. A physician should review this for you. I have had my hip reconstructed from a dirt bike wreck years ago. I was always warned about the possibility of infection (which did happen to me) I went through hell on earth having that infections scraped out of my leg. Please, see a physician. They may even do a biopsy to ensure it's not something more serious. I wish you well in healing this issue up.

    Writing this at the airport waiting for plane. I am off to The 1st International Summit on Laozi and Daoist Culture, November 5-7, Beijing, China.
