Flowers Cows Every morning at dawn, the friendly brown cow leaves the red barn. Breakfast is light green and dark green grasses and yellow dandelions. At noon, he lies down in the field for an eight minute nap, from time to time gazing up at the golden sun. He is healthy, content, and...alive.

  13. deforming feeling on my face when i meditate

From an Taoist energetic standpoint, marijuana burns jing, which is the foundation of meditation practice and general health and well being. If one wishes to be a serious practitioner, the drugs - even plant drugs - need to be markedly reduced from the diet (for some, periods of elimination are better). The thing about mj is that it allows one to feel sensations that one would not otherwise experience. Whether these sensations are soothing, enjoyable, or disturbing depends on one's constitution. Ultimately, these energy experiences are not uplifting to one's spiritual growth. But can be fun, even stress-relieving, in the moment.

  15. Vegetarianism and the Spiritual Path

I became a vegetarian shortly after high school. Then started incorporating seafood back in to my diet. I find this works for me. This was many years before formalizing any spiritual path. Sometimes a formal spiritual path comes before preferences shift. Sometimes the formless energies direct one to formed changes, then formal cultivation practices are sought. Vegetarianism can make one feel lighter, softer. Sometimes this is experienced as a spaced-out feeling, or lack of interest in mainstream concerns (news media, consumerism, goals of much of society). The technical explanation is that reducing/eliminating meat consumption allows the chi to rise to the head.

The purpose of words is to convey ideas. When the ideas are grasped, the words are forgotten. Where can I find a man who has forgotten words? He is the one I would like to talk to. --Chuang Tzu
