  1. ...

The Contributed Articles seems to be one of my favorites. If they are taken out, I'm afraid I may get a teeny bit aggrivated because I've been working on a few to put in (basically a vhegkits amount while I am at work on tons of notes and going through all the other material that I've piled up over the past couple years to put together something solid and worthwhile) and I STRONGLY feel that this part of the forum has a significant amount of importance. (Please remember that this is the simple opinion of one massively insignificant being amoung the vast universe)

Lending Library seemed like a good idea and to let newer people know what kind of material is easily and readily available and also a great way for people to connect and share a very worthwhile practice, obviously they would not own material if it were not the case. On the other hand, if it is not used often I can see how it can be just "taking up room" or "keeping the collective focus" from being clouded/polluted/etc. One point to bring up here is that if this section is gone, then people will have to ASK for the material and some may not even know what to ask for. Also the effort for asking/lending/sharing may not be as feasible. (I'm not sure if FEASIBLE is the word I wanted to use, but at the current moment the mind is still in overdrive from some CRAZY demand/deadlines from my job. It's just a little overworked these days and some practices are in order for my night tonight to help straighten out my inner energies.)

I like the contributed articles section too. I totally agree with Jessica on the lending library section. I'm starting to catch on to some of the new features, and I like it.

  2. ANYHOW THANKS  A 1,000,000 EUROS FOR ALL DA GOOD INFO, BUT ONE LAST QUESTION BE, HOW MUCH TROUBLE WAS DA POST OP RECOVVERY? PAIN? WEAKNESS? COULD YA GO BACK TO WORKIN OUT QUIKLY??

It took me about 1 1/2 years to get back to somewhat normal. I had a bad reaction to the mesh, others I talked to took about 6 months to be able to do normal low impact exercises and a year to get back to normal. Then I know of a body builder who sprang back within 3 months. It depends on how you respond to surgery. Post op hurts like hell.

If you use piss packs still use the castor oil for massaging the area. Castor oil has great healing and cleansing abilities.

  3. If you want a free translation for comparison check out the links below. Bodri listed a number of other Sutras that would be helpful. Some of them are below.

  4. ... I would really like to see Bodri start incorporating more footnotes that link to a Bibliography. A Bibliography that lists all of the sources consulted in preparing his work.

I agree with Sean footnotes would be greatly appreciated and what exactly is the level of Bill and Nan?

I know Nan thinks highly of Bill because Bill wrote the forward to 2 of his translated books in english. I've skimmed through 2 of Nan's books and read the one where he gives a retreat but no where that I see does Nan say I've achieved XYZ. Maybe it's a cultural difference where it may be seen as boasting, but it would sure be helpful to know where a teacher is at in his practice.

  5. I'm interested in Bill commenting on the Taoist system used by Wang Liping in Opening the Dragon Gate. He is started off with Dark Room training and eventually combined with sitting properly. Then he is moved on to the Spiritual Jewels made up of:

    3 Exercises

    Quiet sitting

    External exercises for balance

    Sleeping exercises

    9 Methods

    Mental Capacities - 9 Steps

    1) Retrospective training by returning to infancy

    • a. Distinguishing real from the unreal

    b. Developing Clarity of Spirit

    c. Knowing the correct way to go

    d. Reduce food intake

    e. Changing into new clothing

    f. Seeing through the mechanism of Nature

    g. Revolving Time

    h. Gazing at the Moon

    2) Stopping Illness

    3) Curing Illness

    4) Transmitting Awareness

    5) Stabilizing the Mind

    6) Settling Birth and Death

    7) Cutting of Earthly Soul

    8 ) Receiving Images

Also I would like him to comment on steps to becoming a breatharian.

And whether physical immortality is feasible for the purpose of guiding others to the Tao, until physical immortality is no longer needed, which I think Buddha instructed some of his friends to do when he was gone.

  6. .. i think it'd be clear to anyone who 's watched Plato's posts for a while, that by far and away his posts are driven by his avid and sharp R&D sword, and we've all benefited.

I couldn't of said it better. Plato is a stand up guy who has generously shared his experiences.

Though I understand the conflict of interest point. Plato has a good rep and his posts have a good track record.

  7. Keep in mind that several years from now your eyes may fail due to your irresponsible actions right now.

    Be careful!

I was thinking the same thing SheepishLord. If you are going to sun gaze, at the very least consider taking betacaratene and other eye strengthening supplements.
