    I think it's semantics. Buddha was awakened. Ramana Maharishi was awakened. Ramakrishna Swami was awakened. To what? To me, a few of the popular eastern -isms contain the same thread of waking to reality. And that reality is that what we perceive as reality is a projection of a false sense of personal ego. We are invested in who we think we've become in this apparent material manifestation. This manifestation is a brief covering of our true and original nature.

    You have a pretty good idea? What from books? Which guru, rinpoche, or pandit did you study with? I cannot but say you highly amuse by your alleged claims of "enlightenment." The same for your concubine.

    Where does it say this? Who's translation are you using?

     

    BTW the first posture of the static palms in baguazhang is about rooting.No need for any esoteric explanation. Baguazhang is a martial art that, like any endeavor can be used for self cultivation. But it is by knows means it's purpose.

    As most have doubtless observed, I'm more in the Vedantist/Buddhist camp if Stevejumper is claiming to have the TRUTH with the ism he's calling Taoism (isn't it daosim?). My training doesn't make that differentiation. Kumar was comfortable studying with gurus and rinpoches.

     

    That said, I'm not going to come back with so much piss and vinegar. It's like trying to teach a pig to dance. So I will still have my views and will readily express them. I will just try to do so with somewhat more decorum. No Tom Joad but my own. B)

     

    As far as Stevejumper and his ilk go...I think the complete ego absorption is obvious. As someone who is intimate with it, I feel comfortable with saying so. But I also know that I don't know it all yet. And I'm cool with that.

     

    Other than those folks, I won't say if because clearly I have offended some of you and for that I apologize.

    So I took a break and now it's this dao zhan guy pimping his shit or....whomever the next one will be. Threadjumper jacking on the Chia folks or Hung herng jumping on The Italian guy, or the Max cult. Stand up and grow some. The Truth® is already there. Don't look for powers or wizards or brujos. Who are you? Who are you? Are you the you that is asking? Then who is asking that whom? If you observe yourself asking, who is that first you asking? Go after every layer and ask, "Who am I?" And ask,"Who is asking?"
