  2. Pranayama and Taoist Mastery Of Breath

Traditionally, Yoga says that there are five kinds of prana in the body. They are: prana, apana, samana, udana and vyana. There is also the cosmic all pervading prana, which is the source of the five pranas that are confined to the body and have specific functions to animate it. Of the five pranas in the body, prana and apana are commonly called the most important. Prana is seated in the heart and head and apana is seated at the base of the spine and is known as the "downward breath". Together, prana and apana form the polarity of breath, these to forces are actually what gives us the power to breath. Prana is the solar aspect (masculine) and apana is the lunar aspect (feminine). Of the other pranas, samana is seated in the region of the navel and is known as the "upward breath"; udana is at the throat and moves up and down the whole body; and vyana is defused through out the body holding it all together.3 Throughout this book we will refer to all of the five pranas as prana, when cosmic prana is mentioned it will be stated as such.

Hello, KoHsuan The witches say it very clear, in a couple of interviews. As I said, I studied this for at least a decade. And I still do. I have friends that still study this. They wonder how can I go from CC's teachings to something else. Yes, I can understand this question, because the teachings are so deep. And their effectiveness is what it gives them life and truth. In a world of truth and illusion, there is no matter what colour the cat has, as long as it can catch a mouse. But I couldnt go on with it, for the reason mentioned above. Still I got something very good out of it. How can you tell it's true or not? You just know. It's instinct.
  4. The feminization of the Western male?

there'll always be love and war, as long as the universe is spinning, that is one of the laws. and feminization has a lot to do with more simple things, like everpresent hormones in what we eat. search the causes in da material, not immaterial.

I am interested, if you want each other to share experiences form this path, tensegrity. I was a DJ & CC fan for almost a decade. They say it all very directly, the source is them. But we are too stubborn and thrilled to catch the meaning of what they say. We always think is about someone else, is not our case...

hi i did practice and studied castaneda for more than 8 years. you can pick up "the principles of the warrior way" and move on. all the rest of the sistem is a piramidal sistem deviced to help DJ to escape from the inorganic world. there is no real benefit to the practicioners, that i can tell until now. i moved on to a sistem that has a live teacher, and i have a local instructor to help me. apart from the wild philosophy that really ment something to me back then, i realised i dont have the tools for a project that big. and the coordinators of the project were gone, missing, or dead in the action. tao is a shamanic based sistem.
  8. learner, physical practice looks like a boy's wargame to women. they dont need it, they are more physically fit than most men. remerber, they have to carry a pregnancy and sustain a household. but when it comes to training the emotional, they are all ears it was my case, and most of my friends think the same. i hope that can help.

i dont know if im to laugh or to cry. you are way... way... off track. and the thing you seem to fail to realise is that you are a good portrait of what your school and teacher is. take it anyway you like it. i saw simmilar things with davids posts. he is just a little more of a diplomat. if you consider to be on topic mile long messages praising your teacher... well, so be it. i was curious, how come when someone (other than me!!!) tries to defend winn, chia and others, suddently they are called names and even considered duped and brainwashed, and when you try to defend your teacher, its normal and legitimate. i dont know who is harrasing you, and i feel sorry for anyone who passes through such incidents. but i think i can shade some light on what kind of people do this, and on what purpose. my menthor says power is like money. you may have it, work for it, but is still not enough. you need to know how to invest it, to make it work for you and for others, to help you in your wordly things, and make your life maybe a little bit easier. the guys hunting you, and shen, and andreas, and kosta, and chang, are power-avid people. this happens the same with people who work for a lot of money, they are always stalked by this kind of characters. there are a lot of them on the proboard forum as well, their cunningness is so transparent. maybe you didnt noticed them, but im sure david did. i never understood why the great masters choose not to show any special powers. from what i gathered until now, i think i understand why. just look at the kind of students this line of teaching attracts. im not envious on david, i sure am very curious on how will he handle such students. and how and by what means does he espect them to improve. these are personal concerns, because, as i said, i am studying your school. as i study winn-s, and chia-s, and andreas-s... and many others i cannot talk about. as for winn, he is not very good, and not verry bad. all i have to say is that his place should be at chia-s side. maybe these words will offend him, i dont know. but i think they need each other. so maybe a miracle will happen, at the last moment, just before chia will retire for the immortal practices. he is turning 65... i understand why chia didnt go too much into the much higher spiritual practice, and i can appreciate what he is doing, even though maybe i would have done it a little different. for seans information, and others too, i do have a practice, and a training schedule. and i consider working inside a school a prolific way to grow up, that teaches you how to cope with the light and dark sides of being a human being. not too much and not verry little. and paths are only paths. all that matters for me is if my paths has a heart for me. and it does. you missed, by much, and btw, i dont have the heart to be that mean to a person. i dont know you personally, and you dont know me. i just followed the messages on this board, and your own private, of your actual teacher. i am interested in the system david teaches - which by the way is not his own property. btw, my menthor has video training stuff with david, david isnt even aware off... were just checking out guys who spent some time with chia, so you can see what our set of values could be. and im sure chia and winn woundnt mind if i swear at him, but done the right thing. the five god theory... take it just as metaphor. i dont know who you fight with, but relax now. im not trying to hurt you in any way. forgive me for any harm done. but all i said stands. someday you will understand. and if you dont, your friends will. an example, for good or for bad, is always welcomed. truely, thank you. At least two people came to their senses. Thats a big plus. Thank you Sean, what you just said confirmed my-our suspicions. Get well man. One more thing I remembered. There was a sage that said something I will remember as long as I live. He said that: Anything is one of a million paths. Therefore you must always keep in mind that a path is only a path; if you feel you should not follow it, you must not stay with it under any conditions. To have such clarity, you must lend a disciplined life. Only then will you know that any path is only a path, and there is no affront, to oneself or to others, in dropping it, if that is what your heart tells you to do. But, your decision to keep on the path or leave it must be free of fear or ambition. I warn you. Look at every path closely and deliberately. Try it as many times as you think necessary. Then ask yourself and yourself alone, one question. The question is one that only a very old man asks. My benefactor told me about it once when I was young, and my blood was too vigorous for me to understand. Now I do understand it. l will tell you what it is. Does this path have a heart? All paths are the same; they lead nowhere. In my own life, Icould say I traversed long paths, butI am not anywhere. My benefactor's question has meaning now. Does this path have a heart? If it does, the path is good; if it doesn't, it is of no use. Both paths lead nowhere but one has heart, the other doesn't. One makes for a joyful journey, as long as you follow it. The other will make you curse your life. One makes you strong, the other weakens you. The trouble is nobody asks the question and when a man finally realizes that he has taken a path without a heart, the path is ready to kill him. At that point, few men can stop to deliberate, and leave the path. A path without heart is never enjoyable. You have to work hard to even take it. On the other hand, a path with heart is easy; it does not make you work at liking it. For me there is only the traversing of paths that have heart, on any path that may have a heart. There I travel, and the only worthwhile challenge is to traverse its full length. And there I travel looking.............looking breathlessly.

Pardon me, Sean, for pointing that out but: Men that hunt for power without healing their heart issues, create problems. A wounded man would wound others in turn. A powerfull wounded man would hurt others even easier All your post show that your heart is still bleeding. Chia and Winn may ultimately have something essential here to say. Youd like to skip that and go for power, thats your choise, man. But why spit at others? You make it sound like your issues are healed, but ask others... Btw, you sound a lot like me when first discovered the Dao path. I know where that "sound" comes from. Is just plain insecurity. A sad man is a sad thing. But what can be more depressive than a sad immortal? Chew on that, if you please. My nose is not sharp because I was born with it. But because life sharpened it. And it still takes its tool on it. This is also a response to Smile s questions... Hunting for power doesnt solve "core issues". You can still be an immortal and enlightened being, and still have a lot to solve. I know that is difficult to deal with. That "psychological" stuff everyone laughs about regarding what Winn teaches, may be the starting point of a new perspective. Please, just meditate for a second. One second of sincerity wouldnt kill. Power is just one of the fake gods you meet on your way to the real God. What is that? I couldnt know, im not there yet. Have fun with all these intermediary gods, but dont loose yourself in them. Not even the Great God can resolve your pending wounds and issues. This dissolving process could make all the diference in the world. But dont try to jump to Emptyness all of a sudden. Is like jumping quick to ejaculation when making love with a beautifull woman. You could miss a lot, if not everything. Pacience, healing, returning to oneself. You are your best friend and companion on this Earth. Sharpie

See? Thats what im talking about... Sean has something to defend, he belongs to a school. So he gathers and assembles information on that criteria. He is cool... But the rest... I mean, hey, screw the HT and Company. But. If youre not criticising to defend some kind of a school, maybe yo just hopeless whackers... Sean is a hopefull whacker, by contrast. He speaks about the side effects of a school, forgetting about the side effects of his own. Is there a method that does not have side effects? NO. Is there a way serious practicioners can avoid side effects? YES. They are just natural byproducts, such as acheivements and ability. What matters is to enjoy your way. But. The lust for power is a shameful way to succomb. My menthor says there are four gods, and a fifth one, that few look for. Sex, Money, Power, Fame are the Four. The Real God is the Fifth. Everywhere i looked, serious male practicioners usualy look for, and succomb to the Third. And define an efficient path by that criteria. And about the wisdom growing on trees, you would be surprised... I mean, except maybe for spirelix, all the messages are just playing nuts. What do you expect from me, to be a serious nut?? I prefer a nutty nut. Is that a crazy way to defend sanity or what ?? Remember, you can make anything make sense. What matters is the end result, and even that can be interpreted 1000 ways. I follow this forum for quite sometime. I had enough lately, so Ive been pushed to take position. Please dont be offended, my sharp nose has good intention.

definately that is what happens but why did all the great saints and masters have a master? not just one, but they had many... i still vote for arrogance saying this and that about other teachers is one way of saying "im smarter than you, i preffer to be in control, alone" thats fine but it leads to a dead end if you belong to a school, its normal to say this and that about other teachers but if yo a goddamn loner, is like a jacking off, and then you go and spit on the idea of couple you need a school otherwise is just jacking of... happy waking i do it a lot Forget Allan Watts, he is a faggot He even made a move on Castaneda. Once, Castaneda went and visited Watts, because he liked what the guy wrote. He found out Watts was a loner, a jacking off philosopher... Mentally jacking off, and phisical jacking off... its kind of cool, when you need to relieve tension. But... SHEEESSSSSSSHHHHHHHH GUYS, doesnt it get boring??? Im bored already
