  1. Kunlun-time of day to practice

Thanks freeform, I may also try Maoshan 5 elements from the book first and then kunlun because I am interested in the health benefits, among other things. I am finding I can do kunlun in 30 minute sessions right now, with a 10 minute close afterward. So I am doing 2 sessions when I have time but could possibly fit in 3 if I do a session when I get home.
  2. good "energy" toys ~$50

Mal I have a good idea for 10 dollars. Get some quality sandalwood incense it can purify the area around you as long as it is ok to burn in your cubicle. I think Ya Mu sells good quality on his site. I own the purlple plate and can not feel anything from it and it does not clear the area around you anyway, it is just supposed to affect the person wearing it not their surroundings.
  3. This is by far the most interesting topic in at least 2 weeks, so feel free to keep posting!
  4. Shaktipat

Sorry did not read it carefully, guess my post served as a good bump because now I am getting more feedback
  5. Shaktipat

Simply making a list is not of much use without personal feedback, so has anyone recieved a shaktipat from someone that they can reccomend? I once got a shaktipat from Gurumayai from the Siddha Yoga group and felt absolutely nothing. Hear a lot of good things about Muktunanda though-his shaktipat not his personal shortcomings.
  6. Shaktipat

Does Gabriel Cousens give shaktipat? I did not see this anywhere on his site. Another shaktipat guru I think is Mark Griffin.
  7. My impression of the Kunlun Seminar tonight

I read the thread, where does he mention Max? The best thing about kunlun is you don't need to see a teacher or guru after learning it, including Max, so the the impression of Max no longer really matters anymore, although I found him to be extremely humble and kind. I have noticed all the negative impressions are from non practitioners anyway, and I am more concerned about the practice of kunlun which I am glad he taught me along with red pheonix.
  8. Ok, I guess I should not be looking at Hershey's products for health food, but there pure cacoa powder is only $2.99 and although not organic I was wondering if anyone knows if it is raw. I know it is not organic but I am sick of paying so much for organic superfoods, they are so expensive that a guy working at whole foods told me they stopped carrying some of these products because they were very expensive and were not selling well eneough here in Boston. I think organic foods should be priced around 50 percent more or so, I am willing to pay this. Raw organic cacao powder sells for $9.00 and this is for a half pound, that is a 300 percent increase over the Hershey's half pound. I can get wolfberries (goji berries) in chinatown for $4.50 but if I want organic I will pay $18.00 at one of the health food stores, that is a 400 percent increase. I also notice they sell these foods in the supplement section instead of grocery, these are not supplements, they are food.
  9. I went to whole foods to get raw cacao beans and they did not have it but had there own block of 99% chocolate and I am assuming this is not raw. Will I still get all the benefits of raw cacao beans without the enzymes. There is no sugar added and I can get enzymes from my other raw foods. It is very bitter but I will dip it in raw honey.
  10. Spontaneous qigong

Who is leaving? I know I am definately not but I am also wondering the same thing because the people most enthusiastic about kunlun seem to practice it long term so I am in this for the long haul. But there must be a reason this position is being taught other than helping you run 200 miles which we know is bs anyways.
  11. Spontaneous qigong

I took the kunlun seminar in NJ and could only make the saturday part so I guess this was taught on sunday. Is there a video that shows this position? How do you activate the kunlun energy when in this position? Since nobody wants to run 200 miles a night what is the main purpose of this practice and why would I want to add it to my kunlun?
  12. A different type of Meditation cd

yes I don't think you could call it a drug for the ears at the end of the day. I think these experiences are simply symptoms of the opening of the channels and nadis and the clearing of the blockages, which is what I think a lot of us here at taobums are working on with our various practices of qi gong etc. I do not own these cd's so I can not vouch for them but I am now seriously considering getting one.
  13. A different type of Meditation cd

Hi Yoda does "I used to dog those tapes mean you liked them"? I am assuming that might be a misprint. Anyway I used to love these tapes as well and this might be the only time where I actually felt a possible energy transimission through an audio tape. I was feeling really blissed out afterwards and there is absolutely no way this was from the binaural beat technology and alpha and theta states alone because I was already using tapes with these technologies and getting into alpha and theta but not experiencing the after effects that I was getting from the Brother Charles tapes! I am very interested in these CDs because of what I experience with the Brother Charles stuff.
  14. Gum disease

Is there anything that can hault or stop gum recession. I have receeding gums but they are not inflamed and do not bleed but I have gum disease obviously.
  15. 5 element diet

I eat both and find the goji berry or wolfberry to be far more powerfull than blueberries. After eating the goji for several days I actually feel physically stronger. It is highly treasured in chinese medicine as a very powerful tonic aiding the kidneys, liver, and bone marrow, blood purifier and skin cleanser among many other things. Ron Teegaurden says it is a 5 star tonic and one of the most highly treasured, this is not because of its vitamin C content which you can find in lots of foods. Try blueberries for 1 week and then wolfberries, in my opinion there is no comparison. I must say that I do like the taste of blueberries much better. I blend the wolfberries with apple juice and it goes down better.
  16. Chanting names of goddess

I agree. Ashley Farrand has a cd with his pronuciations of a lot of mantras but there are many sources. Who is this teacher of Gayatri you are talking about, the link to youtube does not work.
  17. Tea

ok I checked out the website and the wu yi tea for weightloss is oolong tea and not green tea.
  18. What exactly is the SITS program of David Wolfe. I know he likes liquid zeolites but does anyone know what the exact program is that you do for 100 days?
  19. Tea

This sounds like bad business practices from the supplier. They must have known the product could not reach you unless you are the first one. Can you get your money back? I also saw a website forum claiming wu yi for weightloss is oolong tea not green tea, does anyone know if it is oolong or green?
  20. Hsin Tao, I'm curious..

Hsin tao is amazing stuff! I practice it and mentioned it in my intro but did not see anyone else practicing it or ever mentioning it. You may feel results immediately, right after the first practice. I find it to give me much faster results than any chi qong practice I have tried. I would not get the book if you are learning it for the first time, I took a class with Ratziel, but I would suggest the video instead, I think it could substitute for the class pretty well, although I do not own the video myself. It has no relation to kunlun and I mentioned it to Max and he was not familiar with it. I showed him a very quick demo of 2 of the movements and said it would be good for me, good for building yang chi (I think his words were yang chi).
  21. It would only make the currency worthless if England was the only country doing it but it looks like many other countries will have to do this as well.
  22. 30 days free trial

How exactly does internal cultivation save one from the coming disasters? I would think physical location would be far more important.
  23. So are you saying that financial status is indicative of previous cultivation?
  24. yes I think the real payment is with your time and effort put into your practice and this decides how much you receive from the practice.
