  1. Spiritual Enlightenment Xianity...

Hi Daniel, Nice to see you around again Best of luck on your new venture.
  2. Hi everyone

I think these forums are wonderful. I wish these boards were available when i first got into this stuff. I got Master Chia's first book in 87, but i was also doing Hung Gar kung fu (off and on) since i was 15. Going back further, it was at the tender age of 8 that i had my first spiritual experience. I had been shipped of to Pakistan at that time by my dad to give my grandparents company on the family farm. So there i was a homesick canadian born city boy living in a rural village with no running water or electricity. I did not speak the language, but luckily, one of my cousins knew some english, and was happy to have a chance to put what he learned into practice. Being so hot there, everyone slept outside at night. And tht was why i got to experience how the night sky is really like. Most nights would be cloudless, so the sky would be blazing with stars for as far as the eye could see. One evening, after my english speaking cousin has introduced me to the concepts of our religion, Islam, i was lying down on my rope-tied made bed, gazing at the stars, and suddenly i felt the Oneness of God in me and everything else. Its something thats hard to explain in words. My faith changed right there from intellectual understanding to just "knowing" it in my heart. So, looking back, in the years that have followed since then, i think i have been slowly trying to build on that experience. Like everything else in life though, it has not been a straight line - peaks and valleys galore I'm married with 4 kids, and one of these days i would love to take them with me to our village. They will proably moan and groan about the heat, flies and mosquitoes, but i'll watch their faces as they marvel at the starry night untainted by modern lights
  3. Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Everyone, We are having Thanksgiving in Canada on October 10th, Soooo.. Happy Thanksgiving to each and all. And to any of my Muslims brothers and Sisters out there Happy Ramadan. Yup, we started the holy month of fasting a couple of days ago. No food, drink or sex (yes Yoda NO SEX ) from dawn to dusk each day till the birth of the next new moon. Well till tuesday, take care all
  4. Hi everyone

Ahh Sean, you are a gracious host The world is your oyster, eat it while your young my friend. btw, i must say it was unfortunate that you and the the other guys had a falling out, and they felt compelled to start another board. I was not here very much at that time, but when people get polarized it is sometimes very hard to get back to centre, regardless of reason. It is actually a very typical reaction, when we get caught up in worldly affairs. I also saw the nastiness on the HT board. If i was you - just ignore it. One hand clapping doesn't make as much noise as two. Those guys have taught me a lot in their own way - I hope that you can see them in that light too as time goes by. Well its thanksgiving in Canada on October 10... so Happy Thanksgiving!
  5. Hi everyone

Hi Harry, I am by no means a master of Hung Gar, so what ever i say is just the experience of a hack It has its roots from Shaolin Kung Fu. Hung Gar's most famous fighting set is called Tiger and Crane. Wong Fei Hung the famous hero in tons of Chinese kung fu movies was a Master of Hung Gar. Hung Gar is also known as Hung Kuen - or 'Red Fist' Its is regarded as a 'Hard style' as opposed to "Soft styles' such as TaiChi. Many members of Hong Kongs Underworld preferred Hung Gar, but that was mainly the old school guys. dont know what the new guys like (probably 9mm Anyhoo, I have a deep affection for Hung Gar, but in my old age i'm starting to fall in love with Taichi - blame it on Winn's Primordial. btw like your handle
  6. Hi everyone

Hi Harry, Actually, the style you are referring to is Praying Mantis Kung Fu. Man, there are sooo many styles out there. Even in Hung Gar which is translated as 'Red Family' is composed of many different versions.... of course who ever you talk to about there version, you usually get the speil that their's is the most authentic
  7. Surrender

"How is the form taught by Winn?" Hi Hagar, Actually it was Cameron who asked you about the five animals. I dimmly recall that Winn combined the 6 healing sounds with the animals and called it the 5 animal frolics .... i think
  8. Surrender

Hi Cameron, When i got deeper into what you could call - 'the spiritual science' stuff, i found that all the labels fall away and everything really just is.
  9. How empty is no emptiness meditation?

"In all these cases, the ego is trying to regain it's lost ground, and is secretly creating an alliance with your subconcious to subtly take you away from the present moment. Which is all" Hi Hagar, Very well put. For me it was crucial to understand why I was drawn to these types of practices. Was it to be like bruce lee? be super strong? have radiant health? for the longest time i was confused. Then, a breakthrough for me came: After the longest time (over 32 years) i finally realized that this stuff reverses the existing natural order. (the creation story is like from the void came the 1 that became 2, that became 3 that became the 10 thousand) just like how when we were first conceived, the 1 egg and 1 sperm united and manifested into the trillion celled beings that we are now. If you do this stuff right, you go back from 10 thousand, to 3 to 2 then to 1. When you are at 1 everything just is. letting go of duality renders bliss. When i understood this intellectually, the variety of experiences that i would get when i raised my energy through these practices, became OK. I stopped resisting because my ego finally understood that it was not real. And yes for me it took being in the presence of an enlightened master (I found out a Shaman witch lived close by) for me to fully process the above . But i have to admit that afterwards - like after you learn how to ride a bike, i wondered why this stuff seemed so hard when in the end it really isn't And just like how you don't need to have your teacher holding your bike any more as you ride.... going deeper in meditation -solo- is all you really need.
  10. Surrender

Hi neimad, As a muslim I try to to pray 5 times a day and one of the key postures in prayer is to get down on your hands and knees - then gently press your forehead on a prayer mat and say: "glory onto The One most high" at least three times. I get to do this many times a day, and it is most soothing. Whenever i have more time i just stay in that position and just give everything i have, everything i am to Allah. You can call it surrender submission or whatever, and if my heart is open enough it can dissolve anything and everything. For me, i find that surrendering specfically to the Divine gives more focus to what i need to surrender. for eg, i used to stutter quite a bit when i was younger, and one of the things that helped for me to get passed it was to surrender my stuttering to God. I find it works with anything and everything. The key is to cultivate your connection with the Oneness of All, and cultivating your connection in prostration really does it for me. Finally when i get to the state of wu wei I can feel the earth chi cooling my forehead and simultaneously i absorb the warmer heaven chi from above (what sufis call Noor). Then i feel the mixture of both energies creating a sweet buzz (yuan chi). its a very blissful feeling Anyhoo, thats how i like to let go.
  11. Definig Kundalini awakening

Hello Guy, Thank you for sharing your experience. reading it touched me deeply. Are you familiar with a chi based healing modality called Quantum touch? You can find out more about it at www.quantumtouch.com I use it sometimes when ever my wife and kids are not well. basically the idea is that each person can heal themselves if their vibration is high enough. When you do Quantum touch on someone else the combined vibration of the two people rises to accelerate healing. Perhaps you and your family may be able to benefit from the above. Best wishes to you and yours
  12. Moon Risings & Phases

Yup, its all good. The whole Islamic world follows the Lunar calendar. Right now we are gearing up for the month of fasting (Ramadan). The sighting of the new moon is anticipated to be around Oct 4.... Peace and smiles
  13. Captain Jean Luc Picard

That was so funny Patrick Stewart is the MAN! I thought it was also hilarious when mel bit his nose off......make it so!
  14. constantly sexually rev'd

There is a great zen line that goes something like this: 'before enlightenment - chop wood carry water after enlightenment - chop wood carry water' Who ever came up with that phrase was truly divinely inspired. i just love it one way of looking at the above is to realize that you dont have to become a hermit in order to get 'it' what has been working for me is meditation and just letting go. if you truly let go - all falseness naturally disipates, and what ever is a real value will come back to you. some times it comes back even better than when you let it go. btw Sean, thanks for all the work you have done on establishing this forum. it is of great value.
  15. La Petite Mort

Hi everyone, If i understand his experience correctly, he used the kundalini energy to arrive at the stage he is in. That stuff is far beyond the jing (the candle) that is normally used. For any of you that have experienced that energy, you know it is almost impossible to control in the beginning - so hats off to this guy for being able to use his intent to get so far so soon. His 'condition' reminds me of the story in ancient times when a group of fallen angels were allowed to roam the earth and pissed off the 'normal humans' cuz they were able to have multiple ejaculations and keep going all night long with the woman. The 'puny humans' were in larger number though and they got together and killed the fallen angels one by one. Thanks Sean for bringing his experience to our attention.
  16. Hi everyone, I came across a guys mystical experience back in the 60s. today that same guy is at the scientific forefront of using feedback to enhance peak experinces - and beyond. (from his description of what happened, i think he almost entered the VOID) enjoy http://biocybernaut.com/publications/discovery2.html

  18. More than one way.....

    Hey Yoda, What is inedia?
  19. More than one way.....

Good Question. My understanding is that the level 1 that Bill went through is only supposed to help you master Alpha waves. On day 5 of the 7 day program, Bill went beyond Alpha and started to pump out mainly delta and theta, which Hardt said are indicative of Kundalini. I'm pasting what Bill wrote: "On Day 5 of the training, I began making huge amounts of a very unique type of brain waves Dr. Hardt identified as those signifying... ...huge amounts of kundalini energy! You may know that in traditional yoga and meditation schools, kundalini is the spiritual energy lying dormant (in most people) at the base of the spine, and a "kundalini awakening" is an incredible spiritual event. When awakened by spiritual practices such as meditation, this energy travels up the spine, moving through and awakening each of the chakras--awakening various spiritual energies and abilities. Based on Dr. Hardt's 30 years of research, it turns out that kundalini energy has a very specific brain wave signature! And, on Day 5, I began to make LOTS of it! (I was supposed to be making alpha waves, but who cares!) As I experienced the brain waves of kundalini, I also experienced incredible bliss! Dr. Hardt also told me that the small number of people he has studied who were able to create such kundalini brain waves all seen to have the ability... ...to manifest anything they want in life! If you'd like to see what the brain waves of kundalini energy looks like, click here to view a portion of my EEG record from Day 5: www.centerpointe.com/kundalini)" It would seem that the holosync stuff primes you in the same direction, that is than turbo charged by Hardt's System. So, holosync users have an edge when going into Hardt's program. But, if you judge each system by speed of change, it appears that Hardt's system is superior. I would imagine that included in there price tag would be a lot of ongoing support, cuz in my experience resolving karma so fast can be very difficult.
  20. More than one way.....

Hi Harry, Yes, Bill sent an email that brought it to my attention. I thought it was nice of him to give his 20% affiliate fee to anyone who signs up and mentions Centrepoint. ($2800 is a fair chunk) but really $14000 for something that you can eventually do with some patience and consistency on your own - is too much. Maybe like laser eye surgery it will go down in price as time goes by "do I know you from the ezboard centre point forum?" No, I bearly have enough time to check out tao bums and the HT board. (i'm a slow typer too so i hardly every post even on these boards
  21. More than one way.....

Hi Michael, I've been doing the Centrepoint program for the last year. It also was pricey ( +1800) but for me it was worth it. I finally was able to progress on the intergration of both hemispheres. Duality is a piece of cake for me now next up: the void wish me luck
  22. More than one way.....

Yup, you're right. Makes Michael Winn's prices seem almost free Really though the story for me strenthens what Bodhri and Nan have been harping about - Still the mind and good things will happen. The answers are truly within, and thus free and priceless
  23. Marriage

Hi Sheiky, "The marriage ceremony in India lasts three days. That couple is glued." My grandparents were married for over 65 years my parents 47 years my wife and i 16 years - and still counting culture probably has a lot to do with it. Good role models as well. above all else - Love hope you find your way
  24. Rant about tao mountain

"being spiritual and being rich are not mutually exclusive, but being spiritual and being crooked or greedy are. wealth does not come from greed, even though it often does. it could just come from hard work and sound financial planning. " very well said
  25. Shaved my pubs!

Hi Yoda, Muslim men and women usually shave there pubes - and underarms. It is a 'Sunnah' (practice) of our Prophet. from a hygenic view point i think you can stay cleaner more easily without all the hair. after shaving its a good idea to use some baby oil or moisturizer though.
